This place has great food, can't go wrong with any of their fresh burgers or sandwiches. It's reasonably priced as well...pretty much everything on the menu is under $10. That said, both times I've been here the service was terrible. The servers were slow, inattentive, and both times messed up at least one part of the order. The appetizer came about 30 seconds before the meal and it's like pulling teeth to get a drink refill, I finally just went inside, found the soda machine, and filled it myself. Nobody said anything. If we got shoddy service inside, the time we ate on the deck it was nonexistent. Out of sight out of mind I suppose. A couple next to us walked out after 20 minutes waiting for drinks. Neither time we went was it particularly busy or crowded, mid week dinner. Great food, just be prepared to wait. A lot. read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday a few weeks back and it was just an overall great experience. Our server was quick and attentive and the food was excellent. My boyfriend was basically obsessed with the reuben (I believe it has bacon, so of course it's delicious) and I had a delicious turkey sandwich. Nice local spot! Will definitely be back. read more

This place had some great food for a good price. The cheese steak sandwich was to die for. Our waitress really made our little boys day! It was just a few minutes drive from the Maine Village hotel in Lake George. It had better food than the tourist strip restaurants that we ate at on vacation. Stopped for an early lunch on our way into the Adirondacks. Got there at 11:20 am...we were one of the first parties in. Party of 4 with a 3yo and 5yo. Good low key pub with dining room section. Wife ordered Buffalo Chicken Wrap with fries, which she really loved. Kids Mac n Cheese is Kraft style for those picky eaters....Kids Fish Stick were actually nice battered fish tenders, not frozen stick...kids meals came with Smiley Face Potatoe Fries. I am wing LOVER, and I order 5 of the "Crazy Hot" wings. I love hot stuff and these wings were right up my alley, not CRAZY in my book but just perfectly HOT. I also added a Bowl of French Onion soup, really good broth, good provolone cheese melted on Top. It's like it was made and than they didn't bring it out for over twenty mins. Gross. Took one bite and didn't finish even though I was fn starving... My bacon I cooked in a microwave stopping at Stewart's was 100 times better. Bf was happy w his dinner even though the bartender said he thought it was cooked wrong . However, the shrimp in the shrimp po-boy were dry and hard; the burger was closer to well than medium. The molten lava cake was dry, with no molten filling, and lacked the promised ice cream. This will be my first yelp review but I feel the need to commend this restaurant/ pub. Not only did they have great beers on tap but their food is on point!!! The wings are great.. They had a creamy sauce on them u will just have to try to see what I mean( we tried three diff favors). The fat burger along with the other burgers were great ( we had 9 adults and 2 kids in our party). The Popeye sandwich and the clams (delicious wine sauce) were also amazing! I also want to complement Cassandra our waitress, my son had a bit of a melt down and she came out with a magnet board within 30 seconds of his crying without us asking for anything... She also got his food out early so he could start! Plus all of our food came out fast, hot and with a smile!!! Probably best place to get burgers, beer and wings in the area!!! read more

For the past 15 years, my family and I have had a summer home in the Burg. We've explored almost all of the local eats, travelled up and down 9, 28, and the local towns. George Henry's takes the cake for consistently delicious food, and an amazing beer menu. Each time we go, we are greeted with a friendly face, attentive service, and ice cold local NY beers. The menu continues to evolve into an exciting display of local ingredients, and it's convenient location on Main St. makes it almost impossible to resist. I had dinner there on Saturday after a round of golf. It was a pleasant drive up Route 9 with the top down, through Lake George to Warrensburg. I really enjoyed the Warrensburger...but I probably won't do that again. It is huge. It was delicious, but it was too much. And it was so good that I ate it all. Next time I will order one of their regular burgers, because I will definitely be back. My only complaint, and it is a complaint I have with probably 80% of the places I try, is that the selection of beers is overly dominated by IPAs. I m guessing this is the case because that is what people are buying, so I can't argue with a successful business plan...but please offer a couple fo stouts and/or porters for those of us not into overly hopped beers. I must add that I had the Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout, which was very good, but at the time it was the only dark offering, and it was bottled, not on tap. read more

Was in Lake George on Vacation traveling with our dog which limits the places we can go for dinner. I was told that George Henry's in Warrensburg just 4 miles down the road was a dog friendly restaurant. I called to confirm that before we headed over and a girl answered and said yes they have an outside area, PERFECT, because I was told the food was good and very reasonable and the menu online looked good. Well I wish I could tell you about the food but that didn't happen. When we got there we found a fenced in area with picnic tables that was very spacious and comfortable for our dog, great right, we thought so too. A sign said seat yourself, so we did which wasn't hard because nobody else was outside. Not thinking anything of it we sat outside for 10 minutes waiting for the waitress who saw us numerous times through the window to come greet us, nope never happened. So my boyfriend went inside to ask for 2 menu's at which time the lovely waitress told him that they only serve outside on weekends. My boyfriend explained that we called to confirm before we came and the girl said you did, to which our lovely waitress replied that wasn't me and walked away. REALLY. now this wasn't a big place the bar and restaurant are right next to each other, the waitress wasn't busy she only had 3 tables in the whole place, she couldn't poke her head out and say sorry we don't serve out here on weekends, I guess even though we are from out of town we are suppose to know that, sorry for the inconvenience lovely waitress. Well I'm sorry reader that I can't review the food for you but I can tell you this SERVICE it what makes or breaks a restaurant, and GEORGE HENRY'S is broken. The sad part is if the food was even ok we probably would have come back numerous times because of the area for our dog, and heads up lovely waitress, we are great tippers. If I were you I would skip George Henry's because if this is who they pick to serve your food I can imagine who they have making it. Thanks for nothing. read more
