Sat at the bar to have a drink and some food. There were a couple of men at the bar and every other word out of their mouth was Fxxk. I know it's a bar but is it really necessary to use such language. I think the bartenders should say something when the language gets out of hand. Needless to say we didn't stay for food. read more

My wife and I like to go out a few times a week. We have been everywhere else and nothing beats the atmosphere at OTooles. Honestly, the food is average pub food but we stop there often for only one reason. The girls at the bar are top notch. We own a bar so we understand the importance of great service. While I do not eat a GF diet, my friends and family that require it LOVE the HUGE selection of GF options here. On a whim O'tooles seemed like a good idea. The server was good at her job plus very attentive, and the dining area was spotless clean. The food on the other hand turned out to be typical pub food. Unless you are consuming copious amounts of alcohol the food may disappoint. Went with the chicken wrap only to find out fajita's are pretty much their signature meal. Very! Bad! Had high hopes but even low expectations would have been shattered. Ordered take out. French Onion soup says croutons and cheese but no just a plastic container of soup that tasted like it came from an expired can of Cambell's. French Dip sandwich was gas station quality and they forgot the fries. Whole place is a chaotic mess, waitstaff seems WAY over their heads. Deducting half a star because I tried for over an hour to order....online system was down and they weren't answering their phones (7-after 8 pmish). O'Toole's is one of our favorite go-to places in Queensbury area as it's got quite good food at "fast food" prices. That said, they have just recently renewed their menu and as such raised some prices a bit but nothing to be alarmed about. However, along with a new menu they also replaced the cutlery with shiny new Chinese, thin as a sheet of paper, forks, etc. I don't know why but I really hate eating with Plastic utensils, but eating with a fork that a man can't easily hold in his hand because it's so thin and sharp is totally ridiculous! Bring back your old forks, PLEASE! Aside from that, the service is always great with many longtime servers. Bartenders are also friendly and quick to serve. Draft Beer is always fresh because they always have plenty of customers. Burgers are big and cooked to your specifications. Wraps and other menu options all seem to satisfy!! I've been here 4 times. It's always been great. Great food and great service. Very attractive. I was in town for work so I was trying out some new to me places. I've continued to go back when I'm in town. Yesterday I went and I ordered the Rueben sandwich again because they have a pretty good one. This time is was very burnt. The server put it in front of me and I decided to try it. It also tasted very burnt. I only had one bite. She never came back to ask how the food was. She did ask after I had sat there for a while if I wanted a box and I told her no because it was burnt. She offered to have a new one made but by this point I needed to get back on the road. It's very good typically but yesterday's server needs to be more attentive. The pickles are great and when they have the fried cheese curds they are delicious. read more

I've debated on posting a review, as I've considered the fact that they may have had an off night, or maybe some new staff, however, I still feel inclined to share our experience. My husband and I went in last night (a Saturday, so we were expecting having to wait), we were immediately seated, which was great. From there, we didn't see a waitress for over 20 minutes despite the fact that there were only six other tables with people. What I assumed to be a hostess finally came by and asked if anyone had been over yet to take our orders, we said no. Ten minutes later a waitress finally came over, took our drink orders and disappeared for another 20 mins. We only ordered a margarita and draft beer, and I believe that for the lack of patrons at the bar and restaurant, it shouldn't have taken that long. We then proceeded to order 10 wings, and once again didn't see anyone for over 30 minutes. No asking if we needed refills, and my husband had to flag a waitress down for a water. We finally decided we won't bother ordering anything else, as the prices on the menu weren't matching the service we were receiving. We asked for the check, and suddenly once we were ready to pay, our waitress seemed to get some pep in her step and quickly bring over the check. Funny how they can be quick once they think they're getting a tip, but not for any other portion of our service. As I stated in the beginning of my review, maybe it was an off night or some staff were new, but when you're charged $40 for two drinks and 10 wings, you kind of expect the service to be a bit better. The drinks and wings were phenomenal, but the service was lacking. We do plan on going one more time at some point, as we believe in giving the benefit of the doubt. This is a great local Lyons restaurant. The decor is very sports themed and local memorabilia. We had a party of nine in the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend any of their chicken wings. I had the dry rub and they were on point. read more

The calamari was overcooked and like rubber, the burger was good. We passed on the wings as the price had gone way up due to some shortage in wings, but I have not seen those price hikes in Connecticut nor at one of the largest wing places J Timothy's. My family and I went to Lake George for the weekend. The Hotel we were staying at recommended O'Toole's as a great place to eat and it was also in the Hotel flyer. 1 of my daughters ordered the Cesar Salad, my other daughter ordered Penne Pasta with butter and my wife ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu Balls. I my self was not very hungry so I just had a water. My daughter took exactly 2 bites of the warm salad and quickly said she wasn't feeling right. A second or two later she ran to the bathroom and got very sick. My other daughter showed me her Pasta and the bowl was filled almost to the top with melted butter! It was un-edible! My wife's Cordon bleu appetizer was also disgusting and un-edible. My wife tried to explain to our waitress about the issues and she was not at all interested in hearing anything and just dropped off our check and walked away. No manager ever came to our table. I did not want to waste anymore of our time due to my daughter was still feeling ill. I do not normally write these reviews but this placed needs to be reported to the health inspectors office! Also with the amount of money these establishments are charging us you would certainly think they would step up their game. In short the staff was rude and untrained, the food well lets just say if you care about your families health at all, DO NOT GO HERE! read more

As somewhat of a calamari connoisseur, O'Toole's offered some of the finest deep fried squid that has landed on these tastebuds. Not to mention, I had some scrumptious lemon water that really hit the spot. The beer-battered fries are to die for and the cheeseburger club keeps my feet walking over the dingy welcome mat. The vibes here are immaculate and I seriously considered getting the frozen strawberry rum drink but ultimately chose against it. My liver both wept and celebrated. We also got to watch a jaw-dropping, earth-shattering, toe curling UFC match during our meal. Thank you Mr. O'Toole for your service and please, never take the calamari off the menu. read more

Basic bar food nothing to write home about but can't get mad at either. Although the burger was very good. I don't know what kind of beef patties they use but it's very good. The food was pretty good as always, though I've noticed their portions getting smaller and smaller over the years. The reason this is a 2 star review, is because our server Molly. Molly was wicked friendly, constantly checking on us, just an amazing server. However, she decided to help herself to a nice $45 tip off my mother's debit card. The total was $34 and she left a $10 tip, but apparently Molly decided that a near 30% tip wasn't enough, and decided to take an extra $35, meaning my mom got charged $79... Stopped at O'Toole's on our way to Lake George this past weekend. Reviews stated they had great wings, which they did so we figured we'd give them a try. Yes, the wings were really good, but expensive. That is the reason for my 4 stars. 6 wings for $11.00. Our bartender was great (I think her name was Heather, I am sorry if it wasn't). and the patrons were so friendly which added to our experience. It is a great bar with amazing folks. I understand the rise in food and everything else these days, but the wings were much too expensive. I would still recommend this Pub! read more

It's go a lot of TV screens all over and packed place. I decided to get the buffalo wings as my main course and Caesar salad. The wings were great! But the Caesar salad was bare with lots of croutons which I left in the bowl. One of his ordered th special fish and chips. The fish had too much batter and almost looked like a reheat. The inside could be spiced up a little and maybe a little renovation to update it but besides that there's nothing wrong with this place. O Tooles is a good place to go for a quick bite. They have a wide variety of items, maybe not as many as the number of TVs on premises though. Its a good place to watch a game, or two, or three. We had a steak and a burger. Both were good. I also had the French onion soup, which unfortunately came in a small cup stuffed with bread. It was a miserly portion for $6.99, that's for sure. Put it in a decent sized crock, its the least they can do for the price. Also, the silverware they use is the cheapest stuff this side of the school cafeteria. This could be a winner but they need some work to get there. All in all, give it a try. Just don't let the cheapo fork bend in your food. read more

My husband and I joined some relatives for dinner here the other night. A member of our party is gluten free so the decent sized gluten free menu was a huge plus! I'm impressed with how many gluten free choices they have. Overall we had a great experience both the food and service was good. I especially enjoyed the Caesar salad! The day we went it was very busy. We sat down and immediately ordered the nachos for appetizer ..... looked over the menu and waited... waited... waited. Then we placed our food order and waited and waited... thinking that our app should have been out..... it was 35 minutes AFTER we placed our food order that it came out. Then another waitress comes over to give us our food. We didn't even each a chip before our food came out. Needless to say the nachos were soggy AF!!!... our meal was good and hot which is very surprising these days... Complained to the waitress about our nachos and she took them off our bill.... Nothing like spending the whole evening waiting for our food though.... Meh...tried it again and was even less impressed. One of the few places open on a Monday and not my pick, but figured surely a local restaurant would be better than a chain. Iced tea so rank and bitter, one sip was it. Okay burger with a small pile of fries was just "Meh". My dinner companion and I were unimpressed with the pay at the table -what if we wanted to pay cash? Leave a cash tip? Really didn't seem like an option as the automated check out wouldn't let me get past the tip function. Have to give this place this great review. It was very good food especially for a bar, when we needed it, at 9:30 PM, after the Great Escape indoor water park closed. Sorry to say that at this point I don't even remember what we ate other than to say that we had a salad, and I think that we had a quesadilla or a fajita in addition to something else. Mostly writing this review for a friend who said they would be out there and realized it took me an inordinate amount of time to find this place. And I did not previously find it on yelp.
