So I've had some problems with my 2015 GMC Sierra recently and took it to a few places that acted kind of shady if you ask me. One guy charged me $135.00 just to hook up the computer to the ODB port and tell me that it needed a new engine. Of course he proceeded to tell me that he would buy my truck from me. That is shady as hell. So I did some research and found that these guys had a 4.9 star rating. Well deserved as far as I'm concerned! They diagnosed the problem, found the single cause of all the computer errors and fixed it within a day. The truck runs great and the cost was very reasonable! I actually had the do a complete tune up and transmission fluid replacement because I trust them. I now have my other vehicle here for an alternator replacement as well. Don't know about others who gave them less than five stars but they were wrong. Going back next week with my third vehicle. read more

I went to this place around two weeks ago because my car seemed to be driving weirdly and it was making weird noises. I have no idea about anything related to cars, and I am a female college student. I went to this shop to get my car checked out, and they said that there were lots of things broken, including my motor mounts, belt, and some other part of the engine. I was told that I could only drive my car safely for another week or two, and they gave me a price quote of 1000$ to fix everything. I thought the price was high, so I went to a different repair shop. The other shop told me that everything about my car was fine, and that it was just low on engine oil. They said that even though the motor mounts was broken, the car was still fine to keep driving and that it would not affect my safety. They also mentioned that the belt was old, but still perfectly fine to continue using. Update: I wasn't able to edit my response, so I'm writing a new post. My car currently has 58K miles, so it wasn't in need of the 100K maintenance per the owner's reply. My car is up to date on all maintenance services. I just got the car from my uncle, who is a mechanic, around 6 months ago when I started university. However, I was not aware that I had to regularly check and add a bit of motor oil into the engine occasionally at the time. Yesterday was my first experience at George's Auto Service. I went in thinking my alternator needed to be replaced and after testing it he told me my alternator was working good and looked to be wiring. He said I needed a car electrician but unfortunately he does that offer that service at his shop. Even though I wasn't able to have my issue fixed I left feeling really good about the experience. An hour later I was given a quote, I agreed to the amount, and two hours later they called for me to pick up my car. Had new brake pads installed and an oil change! Beware of this shop. I stopped to have my AC diagnosed and fixed. I explained to the older gentleman that it was cooling but it sometimes not turn on so I suspected an electrical issue or something similar. He said I would need to do an AC leak inspection where he would use a machine to empty the coolant and look for leaks. I told him my AC had no issue cooling but it was the fact that sometimes it wouldn't turn on. He said he first need to do the AC leak and then proceed to check other issues. He did, I paid over $150 and then he tells that I need to take it to an autoelectrician because there were no coolant leaks and he doesn't do electrical work He didn't even check anything! He basically finished the AC leak inspection and sent me to look for a competent person. How nice to disregard a review by saying "you have the wrong business". No sir, I usually go to the restaurant next door (Tacos El Rey, really good and clean BTW) so it was at your location. read more

I contacted George's Auto here for a quote on what the Honda dealership considered "required" maintenance. Ahmad looked under the hood and not only refused to do the service on the Honda but also explained why.
