First time coming to this automotive shop and I can say they did not disappoint. My 2007 honda accord was leaking bad (rear main seal issue). I talked with Mario who is very knowledgeable on vehicles. Mario is very responsive and even took time out of his day to send me photos of the engine being pulled out of the car. This shop was by far the cheapest to have my problem fixed. Mario was kind enough to put my car on the lift and allow me to inspect the job that was completed. My incidents with San Juan Automotive including no request, nor signature, to begin work prior to tear down and diagnosis costs as requested, an initial quote of $8,400 installed, then an increase to $14,000 cost and upon completion a true total bill of $14,957. None of which were provided in writing. After receipt of the vehicle I gave the shop two chances of catching and/or resolving the mistake of not installing a pilot bearing on the vehicle, one within one day. I had the car towed after driving home due to a failure to maintain idle and a grind in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. The issue continued following the "test drive" by a San Juan technician that resolved nothing. After which I had an independent shop, Transmission Specialists in Santa Ana, diagnose the issue concluding that my throwout bearing was the issue. I called and asked for assistance on the repair without initially blaming San Juans shop. I received a meaningless offer of $100 off of the repair after asking for them to split the bill with me out of good faith and seeing as how I had spent nearly $15,000 in repairs at the facility only a week prior. At any point during this exchange the issue could have been resolved with no further action. I have spent over $17,500 to resolve an issue that was at first disclosed to be a $8,400 repair with no clear end to the repairs in sight. The throw out bearing and lack of installed pilot bearing was repaired by Transmission Specialist, however the car has additional creaking the front end and noises coming from the engine on a 2019 car with 30k miles. read more

Had my car engine literally replaced but later I found out there were some other parts that weren't bolted back together and a leak on one of the hoses they didn't properly reattach. When I went back to have them fix it they tried to deny having anything to do with it when they took everything apart to replace engine.
