Atmosphere = 10. Perfect old school neighborhood diner. Enjoyed counter service and chatting w/ the regulars. Service = 10. The gals working the counter were so nice and friendly. Food= 6. I asked for "well done" on bacon and potatoes. Both came undercooked. Bacon was pure fat and requested a redo, which they handled very graciously. The second run of the bacon was perfect. Cook needs to discover salt and pepper. Greek omelette was delicious. Coffee= 3. The coffee was hot. That is all I will say about that.

I really like this diner. It's a nice environment, menu that hits all the diner greatest hits, great people that work as servers and in the parts we customers don't see. A clean bathroom is always a plus. Parking is always tight but doable. So why is the coffee so horrible? It looks and tastes like brown water. And it costs $3.50. Really, keep the price the same but up the coffee jams? There are so many coffee options you could consider. You have good tea, so why not tasty coffee?

Went to this little gem today for breakfast. The food and service were so good. I had the Breakfast Sandwich with egg, cheese, a side of bacon and crispy homefries. The egg was cooked perfectly on lightly toasted bread. The potatoes had the perfect amount of crispness and the bacon was done but not burnt. Everything came out steaming hot and fast. Our server was super friendly and very nice. The diner is super cute and had a very at home welcoming vibe. I would definitely come back.

Saw this place online and immediately thought we need to try it. We went on a Saturday around 9:00 am. Place is vibrant and has an amazing feel. There was a wait, but the locals were welcoming to us. We waited about 30 mins for a table and the wait was well worth it. The wait staff was friendly and helpful as we had questions since it was our first time. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs. It's not on the menu, but it's a secret special. The gravy was definitely the star, the eggs were cooked perfectly. We will be back and we can't wait.

Wow! This was some of the best diner food ever! The food was cooked perfectly and none of it was greasy! My eggs and hash browns were delicious. My husband enjoyed his omelette stuffed with meat. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was a little chilly due to the Ohio winter weather and the patrons opening and closing the door. We will most definitely be back! I would like to try some of their sandwiches for lunch.

While working in Beechwold I love grabbing lunch at George's Beechwold Diner. This time it was their club sandwich but instead of the usual pretzel bun, I had them put it on wheat. The onion rings were an added treat. Always friendly service there, it's a great place for good diner food.

The food is just classic and great. The interior is such a perfect diner vibe. Sat at the bar with my boyfriend and staff was friendly. Always refilling our coffee and checking in on us. Their omelettes and home fries are so delicious. The biscuit on the side was super yummy too. So fluffy and buttery.

I love a good diner, and George's fit the bill. It's a little local place off of Indianola in Beechwold. Parking out front and around the back, but between George's and Portia's, it gets full! They have counter seating and booths. There was a wait for booths this morning, but you could plop right down at the counter, so counter it was! There are a lot of quirky signs and mismatched coffee cups to keep you entertained. Breakfast is all day, which is a proper diner must! Since we went in at lunch-ish time, I had the fish sandwich and home fries. I thought it was a pretty solid fried fish sandwich, and really loved that it home fries were an option! The ones here are just the way I like them - slices with crunchy bits. Standard diner coffee - black and strong, with little creamer pods on the table. There were a lot of options in the menu, and plenty of specials up on the board by the door, so if you're in the mood for some simple breakfast options, I think this is a solid place to try!

What a great find! We were yelping for a nearby diner, and George's came up with high marks. I am from Columbus and have driven up and down Indianola so many times and have never noticed this diner. We parked up front (only a few spaces) but saw many people drive to the back for parking. Seating is open--just seat yourself at any table that is clean. Our server stopped by and got us coffees and then took our orders a few minutes later. I got the meat lovers omelet. It was so good! It came with hash browns and toast. They don't have my go to raisin toast, but had cinnamon toast. For those who want brunch at a locally owned establishment (i.e., not a chain), this is it! We will definitely be stopping by again. I am going to try and get here for lunch one day. They close at 3pm and so not available for dinner :-(

The food and service is very good but due to the fact that they have a lot of customers many times there's no place to sit.

Let's start with the pancake balls. The signature dish is absolutely out of this world. You can get them filled with Nutella, dulce de leche or Apple/Pumpkin butter. These little morsels of goodness are worth the trip alone. We also had the Pueblo BLT Sammy with the sweet and spicy bacon (that's right this is a thing that must be tried to be believed). This sandwich was so good and don't sleep on the homemade citrus aioli - outstanding. Our table also had the hens in a basket. Eggs cooked perfectly and the bread had a sweetness to it that made it just right. OUTSTANDING FOOD! And we will be back

We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.
