In addition, they always have eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats, fruit, pastries and more. The new chef and F&B manager are both killing it with a new menu and tons of fresh ingredients. Let me start with that we have been to this location a number of times and normally have a good…read moreexperience. I hope that yesterday was an anomoly but I feel needs to be addressed. Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.

I have been to many Delis. Including New York, Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and many others. Even thou it does not have the recognition or name like Zingermans i would say its just as good or better. The corned beef is excellent, flavor with every bite, but my favorite of all is the pastrami it had a nice kick to it not to spicy but for sure the real thing. I have been to StateSideDeli several times over the years and each time it's better and better. Me and my friends went there a few days ago, we all tired different sandwiches, different meat, breads, and topping. I would have to say i was happy with all of them. The soups caught my eye fresh and homemade what more could you ask for. I tried the Chicken Lemon Rice just like mama's. i really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, and more importantly the food. A real Deli worth eating at.I always recommend StateSide Deli to others that want to eat good homemade food. read more

We had a Sunday lunch & have to say - what a waste! Overpriced sandwiches and average food. Kids meals were lousy and the pop is extra for them. What 5 yr old needs 16oz of pop? The corned beef was tasteless, the pastrami was average and the best part was the extra .50 charge for grilling your bread. SERIOUSLY?? Now you buy a sandwich and they have the nerve to charge you to cook it? Wonder if they charge the grilled bread charge when you order the grilled ham and cheese? I was sitting waiting for my food, and evey time they put the food in the window I was wish it was mine. It all looked so good . I got The Rock (chicken salad) and every bit had wonderful taste to it.. My husband got the #1 ( corned beef cole slaw) he said it was just like home( New York). Doesn't look like much from the outside and it's a little hard to see from the road but this place is so much more than a deli!!!! We take the kids for the baked goods, desserts, and shakes when we want a sweet treat. Definitely keeps us coming up! read more
