My vehicles are kept running and a fair price and my money stays local. There have been times that I have received less than friendly service, but those employees don't seem to stay long. This place is very helpful usually .. I.E one time my door closed just enough to lock with my child in the car and the nice employee opened my door free of charge . I came back with a Starbucks gift card to say a huge thank you . Now today I tried to the car wash for the first time. First of all I followed all directions & was VERY careful the machine .. the car wash machine HIT my closed mirror on the passenger side . Huge scratches and marks that weren't there before . Second my entire brand new car is COVERED in scratches . COVERED. Dooooo noooot use this car wash . DO. NOT DO IT . Updating to let you know a short haired older woman whose name should be KAREN works here. Yesterday 8/11/21 I had parked my car right next to the pump at this station to get gas AND type in an address as I don't use my Phone and drive. This CRAZY Karen worker came to my rolled down windows .. unmasked and said "you need to move immediately I have an oil truck coming." I said no problem maaam one moment please I am typing in an address and will get gas elsewhere . She stood by my open windows and said "you're texting is not more important than the oil getting filled and preceded to be completely unprofessional, rude & scary . I will never use ANYTHING but the coffee stand in this parking lot . Horrible horrible people work here . Except for the long haired and heated mechanic . We have had George & his crew repair and maintain our cars for 30+ years. They are honest & the work is always done perfectly. No hard sells here - they let you know if there is something that they recommend, but never a pushy sale. I love that you can drop off your car early in the morning or late at night. We have had them work on Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, and Honda cars. They always pull up the maintenance minder to see what needs to get done, but don't do extra work. Highly recommend! read more

One of the many gas stations nearby my house, this Shell is one of my more regular stops. Between Safeway and QFC, and my mom and I, I earn gas discounts from both on a highly regular basis (to the level that I usually give my code to friends from time to time so they get a gas discount before my points expire) The cashiers here are all really friendly. They remember you pretty quickly, and that's always nice. Very small interior has the basics: oil, some drinks, a handful of predictable snacks and smokes. Something very wrong here. Pulled up with my family to refill our propane BBQ tank. Firstly, there was one member of staff working. He was sitting outside, smoking a cigar. Smoking at a Gasoline and propane station right next to the payment building? I walked up and before I could say anything he said, "no". I asked if he meant the propane, as I hadn't actually asked him anything yet.."not today, not tomorrow. no". I asked if there was anywhere else.. He said there's a 76 up the street that might.. He mumbled something about insurance, and how he didn't know as he was just (his words) 'a register monkey' in a very pissed off tone. I guess I was bothering him. I said, 'okay, thanks' and walked away. No reply. So.. Yeah, other than the intense rapid amounts of strange behavior, maybe there's some law in force on Sundays and holidays that I don't know about, but it doesn't explain his overall demeanor. This guy was a mess.. Super grumpy. Dark brown teeth. I just can't get over the smoking next to the pump.. If insurance was an issue, there's just no way his smoking can be by the book. And a cigar too.. We're not talking about a sneaky 2 minute cigarette when the place is dead. They take a while to smoke. Surely there's no way an owner of anywhere that would be okay with this. Seems they do auto repairs too, so perhaps the gas isn't their priority. Obviously, I won't be going back. Crazy. Side note.. Took the same tank and swapped it out at the Safeway/Albertson's in lake forest park. No issues. read more

I was told by Toyota Kirkland that I have 2 oil leaks. $1200 to fix. I took it to George and he spent time to inspect them thoroughly by cleaning the engine, re-inspect after a wk. Then he said No leaks are found on those places. I took it back to Toyota Kirkland and they verified no leaks or very minor and suggested to monitor as well. I was recommended by someone who said George is the most trust-able mechanic in town. He will only fix and charge things that really need to be fixed. read more

These guys are amazing. Both my wife and I take our cars to them. We have an Infiniti and Tundra we bought brand new and I have always dealt with dealerships until my wise dad said "don't do that deal with the local mom and pop because they know what they are doing"; my dad was right. These guys are overly fair with their shop rates and honest to a fault. I am mechanically inclined and know my stuff and it's clear these guys do to. I will take all my new and old vehicles to these guys I just love dealing with them and so does my wife. read more

Halt!!!! This place will scam you out of every dollar you have. They charged me $253.00 for a new battery, then the battery was too big and touched the hood of my car causing it to smoke and nearly catcht on fire. When I returned for a refund they wouldn't give me one. The mechanic simply told me "Ohhh just put a towel between the battery and the hood." How am I supposed to do this? Is he crazy? He never apologized for almost ruining my car or giving me crap service. When I got a little irritated and said no give me a refund he told me to Get out of here, Am I a mutt dog! After authorizing an initial repair this shop added hundreds of dollars in additional work to my bill without asking, which is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act! I informed the mechanic and owner of this and other CPA violations in their shop and was met with accusations of "doing this all around town" to scam money out of shops. These are the kinds of shady practices that consumers need to be wary of, and this shop is *not* helping to protect consumer rights. read more

Highly recommend George and his crew. Got me on the books quickly and got right to diagnising the ABS dash light and safety check on my new-used motor home. George was honest and reasonably priced. We really like this place. Its small and simple as far as convenience stores go, but thats fine by us, we don't want the junk most of those places sell anyways. George's does all the work on our three vehicles, and so far they have done an excellent job at competitive prices. They can do pretty major repairs, as well as maintenance. The mechanics are knowledgeable, strait forward, do good work fast, have not tried to upsell, and steer us in the right direction with what needs to be done. We like that they are small but capable, local, and free of the large chain corporate BS you tend to find at most shops these days. Yes I just got horrible and very rude service from here. I was called a dumb bitch from George. I am now questioning what kind of business are they running if they can talk to a new customer in this way. I brought my car there to get my front brakes done. I had taken it to Honda of Kirkland a few days before to get a brake inspection and I was told the front brakes needed the rotors to be resurfaced and needed new pads. I was also told the rear brakes were good and will last for another 3-4 months. Well I decided to take it here because it was cheaper and close to my house, so I can walk there when it is time to pick it up. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Yes my front brakes got fixed, but in the next couple of days I start to hear scratching and loud grinding sounds everytime I pressed my brakes. I brought it back today to have Jay look at it and he was kind enough to fix it, if it was the front brakes, but then I get a message from George telling me my rear brakes are messed up and now needs to be fixed. WHAT?!?! When I call the store I talked to George and tried to explain to him that my rear brakes were fine before I brought it there and I never had any grinding noises before. The only reason I had my brakes done in the first place because it was shaking my car every time I pressed it, and never had any noises. Then I told him I'm picking up my car to bring to Honda of Kirkland to have them see why my rear brakes are now having troubles. George says I am accusing them of doing something and I say I don't know if you did. Then he says I am full of shit on the phone. I say it back to him. Both George and Jay kept saying that Honda of Kirkland lied to me. I have been bringing all my cars there to have service done for years and I had never had any trouble with my cars afterwards. I also bought 3 cars from Honda of Kirkland. I know Honda of Kirkland is not lying and I know they do honest work. This Shell store owned by George, on the other hand, I bring my car here for the first time and I am already having other problems. I really think THEY did something. THEY are dishonest mechanics. When I go pick up my car and I'm waiting in the store there comes George in the store being sarcastic and starts to pick a fight. I am 5 feet tall and I have my 8year old daughter with me. There is this grown man coming in there hovering over me and accusing me of being a lady in a sarcastic manner. I had told the cashier woman my name, so she can give me my key and paperwork and again there's George standing by demanding to get my name. Who or what kind of person does this, let alone the owner of the store. As I leave the store, George calls me a dumb bitch, I turn around and ask him what he said. I don't take that from anyone. He starts to wave his arms and tell me to get out. I told him I will report him and call the police. What kind of place is this. There is no good customer service and definitely no professionalism. I've been dealing successfully with Linda, George and Jay at George's Eastside Shell for many years and I've always received EXCELLENT service from them! I recently bought a used car and the newest mechanic Joe was assigned the tough work of trying to diagnose why the motor overheated and stalled. In the face of a demanding customer (me) Joe was able to get the car running and diligently determined the main bearing was likely bad. He wasn't able to determine exactly why it overheated and told me so. Joe was honest about what he knew and couldn't know and I appreciated his honesty and effort to save me as much $ on this as he could.
