This was my first time here, and the main reason I decided to visit was because I wanted to bring my dog along for dinner. I had heard so many great things about this place, so I finally gave it a try. I really loved the patio and the fact that they have a dog-friendly menu--such a cute touch! The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was great. My only disappointment was that the patio has a posted rule stating that barking or aggressive dogs are not allowed, yet a couple nearby had two small dogs that barked loudly at every dog that walked by. It made the experience uncomfortable, and unfortunately, nothing was done about it. It doesn't seem fair to guests who bring well-behaved dogs and follow the rules. On a positive note, the manager was very welcoming and even gave us a free appetizer card since it was our first visit, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, despite the issue with the barking dogs, we had a great experience. I'll definitely be back--with my pup!

Yes, this is a chain restaurant, but boy; I had stellar service, delicious food and an all-around enjoyable experience. I came here for a solo dinner on a Tuesday night, and I was seated right away. I was torn between 3 dishes, but ultimately chose a seasonal lemon and ricotta pasta. It was delicious! For desert I wrapped it up with a butter cake with raspberry sauce- it was just the right amount of sweet. Overall, Lazy Dog was a homerun- everything was delicious and the service and value were top-notch, also the restaurant was very clean and I was really impressed with my overall experience here.

I recently had lunch here with a good friend and set out on the patio this time. I really enjoyed the patio area except the nuisance of the flies. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. Just as a note for anyone who's not familiar with the area, the restaurant is located at the Cerritos mall, but can be accessed from the outside. Parking can be challenging, but eventually, you will find one. We had a very friendly server but she failed to tell us about the lunch specials. My friend was familiar with them so we were able to find the specials. The lunch special was a lunch entrée with a dessert for approximately $15. The portions are great, and the dessert was delicious! We ordered an appetizer, a mocktail and a cocktail and all were great! Surprisingly, I was really disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the fried chicken and ended up taking it home but just to toss it. The fried chicken was cold, soggy, and just terribly made. It had no flavor at all. I've had a few different dishes from here and it's the first time I've experienced a bad dish. Lesson learned for me! I will still be returning to this restaurant because they have other amazing dishes and overall the experience has been great!

For starters, Lazy Dog has been my go-to spot for almost a decade. I love their food, service and prices. I've had every burger on the menu and genuinely enjoy them all. I rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table, and have never waited more than 30. The ambiance is great, I love the aesthetic of the restaurant, bar and patio. Their beers are great, I recommend the sunspanked Red, it's one of my favorites. We came out last week to celebrate my sister's birthday, we quietly told our waiter we were celebrating her with a wink. Our server was friendly and attentive. The first thing that caught my eye however were the menus- they were dirty. They were splattered with old crusty food, grimey and generally kind of gross to look at and feel. This really surprised me, my experience over the years has always been great. They brought out a birthday cupcake for my sister, no fanfare and singing which we all appreciated, she wouldn't like the attention. When we got the bill there was a charge on there for a birthday dessert- also surprising because generally these birthday desserts are free for the birthday. All in all, we still enjoyed our time and I will be back with the hopes of finding clean menus and the same service I'm accustomed to.

My favorite food here is the quesadillas appetizer. There are six big crispy slices with lots of chicken and cheese. It's more than I can eat so I get to take some home for later. The waiters are friendly. I also enjoy the background music.

Went here on a Thursday. I usually pass this place up but since there was a Laker game I decided to go inside and sit by some LCD screens @ bar side. It was happy hour. I ordered some draft beers along with some cocktails. Wasn't that crowded, so we were getting our drinks fast. Ordered some cucumber appetizers, chicken wings and Loco Moco fried rice. All was deliciously served with no wait time. Our waiter was prompt and the service being delivered was great. Definitely no complaints on my visit. I wished I would of documented our waiters name. He was a cool dude. This area gets packed on Friday and weekends. Good luck on parking. Ambiance was nice and Happy hour was awesome. Definitely coming back to chill for happy hour. Can't beat great food and service.

Everything was going great... until it wasn't. Jennifer was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing -- super polite, attentive, and not a gatekeeper at all lol. I even complimented her lipstick and she didn't hesitate to tell me what brand it was. Love that. She brought out our drinks and I got the cucumber lemon sparkling refresher, which was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. We also ordered the Cajun fries, which were delicious (a little sweet too, which I was actually living for), and the Korean fried chicken bao buns, which were really good. Now here's where things started going downhill... I went to the restroom and 2 out of the 3 stalls didn't have toilet paper. I'm not sure about the third since it was occupied, but 2/3 being out is already not a great sign. When our food came out (all at once, which I appreciated), I started taking pictures for Yelp. After I finished, I noticed a fly on my plate -- just sitting there in one corner, not moving much no matter how I tried to shoo it away. (In my pictures it literally looks like a black sesame seed because of portrait mode blur, but I swear it was a fly -- I have witnesses ) I let Jennifer know, and she handled it really well. She was very apologetic, took the plate back, and the manager came out with a new dish on the house, which I appreciated. After comparing both plates, I also realized the first dish was missing the baby corn, which is actually pretty noticeable when you look at the two side by side. The rest of the evening went smoothly, and overall the food had a nice mix of sweet and spicy. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals too. However... later that night, I had really bad stomach pains and was running back and forth between my bed and the restroom. I only had two meals that day, and this was the only new one, so I'm pretty sure it came from here. Overall, great service from Jennifer and good flavors, but between the restroom situation, the fly, the missing items, and how I felt afterward... it was a very mixed experience.

Came through to Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar and I have to say... this spot did NOT disappoint. First off, the location is perfect--easy to get to and a great vibe as soon as you walk in. My server was amazing from start to finish--super attentive, friendly, and really made the whole experience smooth. Now let's talk about the food... the chicken Caesar salad was TO DIE FOR. Fresh, flavorful, and actually filling (which isn't always the case with salads). And the rum punch? Yeah... they did their thing with that. Perfect balance and definitely worth ordering again. What really stood out too was the pricing--very reasonable for the quality you're getting. No complaints there at all. Overall, great food, great service, great experience. I'll definitely be back.

We came here on a relax Thursday night to grab a bite to eat. I'm glad to see they've updated and added a ton of good stuff to their menu. It's been awhile since I last visited a Lazy Dog restaurant. We ordered from the $15 Fireside Entree menu. It comes with an entree along with a small dessert! I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken bowl and the banana pudding for my dessert. Both were delicious and very appetizing. Great portions. Service was excellent! Our waitress was amazing! Very friendly, tentative, and professional! Ambiance is nice, I like the lodge type style. Lots of wooden beams which made it feel like I was up in the mountains.

The only chain restaurant I frequent regularly. Service really depends on what time you go in. I've had great service to not so good. But, I don't come here for the service. Can't beat their Happy Hour Menu. Great food options at a great price. Weekdays 3-6pm. Sunday-Thursday 9pm to close. I always order the Brussels Sprouts. Really like their hamburger and chicken lettuce wraps. Recently just had their Tikka Marsala Meatballs, delicious. I also really like their brunch menu. My favorites are the Loco Moco and Chilaquiles. Highly recommend. Their Tex-Mex salad is a family favorite. Love sitting outside because dogs are allowed. When I sit inside I always sit at the bar.

05/23/2026: Guess it's just been a really long time since I was last here and didn't expect the food AND service to be as amazing as how it turned out to be today. Our waitress, Bianca, excellent and friendly service. The food was great. Loved the trio of small plates, especially the tangy BBQ chips. My BBQ Ranch burger was absolutely delicious. Finished it in 5mins once it came out. Atmosphere, was chill and I really did like the interior design. Overall: 5 stars for my experience today.

They don't even give you regular size glasses. I'm not a child. I would like a real adult size water glass.

Usually love this place but they still haven't brought back their tater tots with the jalapeño aïoli sauce. Now they're giving you little baby glasses instead of a real glass for water.

Went here for the first time and will be going again! So went on a Friday night and it's pretty busy will say, not a problem just expect a lively restaurant. Even despite that, the service and staff were great! Always very attentive and nice and informative about any all questions we had. There is a lot on their menu and they have lots of drinks to try also,an all that we tried was great! The food was so good! They brought out some potato chips which don't be fooled, these were the best potato chips I've ever had. I'm not sure what the seasoning was to be real with you but it was delicious and fresh. So highly recommend trying those! The burger I had got was also delicious and the fries were cooked to perfection! Have never been here before and want to try so much other things on their menu! I do think the drinks and appetizers/side dishes are what really stood out to me and those are where my attention is going to be next time I visit. The main dishes are great! Just seemed more interesting food in the appetizers and side dishes. Paired perfectly with a lot of their good mixed drinks All in all good nice dining room Great and friendly staff And great food! Will be returning!

What time is evening happy hour?

Happy Hour is 3:00-6:00 in the bar and patio.

I have a family member that is peanut and tree nut allergic can you accommodate their dietary needs and safety?

I would make sure that the next dish that I cook just not have those items, or and I would double check on what you know they would like to eat.

Are there heaters on the patio for colder nights?

Yes, I went during the day-but recall seeing heaters in the patio area.

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes they do

    What time is happy hour?

    Mon-Fri 3pm-6pm Sun-Thurs 9pm-close

    Yes! They do

Large Chili cheese fries costs $12.14 at the time of this writing. Chili and cheese make a perfect combo. Not too salty either. You can see some greasy layer on top, so dont expect anything healthy. The cheese hits different and isnt generic Kraft cheese you can get at the store in case you were wondering, "we have cheese at home." It's nothing like what you can buy at the grocery store. It reminds me of my childhood in the best way. There's just something about a classic burger with that Thousand Island spread that you don't find everywhere anymore. My go-to order is the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries, and it never disappoints. The flavors are exactly what you want, simple, satisfying, and consistently good. I always get a side of ranch too, which just takes everything up a notch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If I'm taking it to go, I like to get the lettuce and tomato on the side so the burger doesn't get soggy, I definitely recommend doing that. Price-wise, it is a little on the higher side for a burger and fries combo, but honestly, the quality and taste make it worth it. It's one of those spots you go to when you want something you know is going to be good every time.

All 3 were delicious, and our favorite was the beef frachos, which was like an upgraded nachos, with very flavorful/tender ribeye steak pieces and mildly spicy seasonings with cheese over crispy potato wedges. The food was much better too, especially the fries! Y'all know they were trash in my first review. This time they were hot and crispy. I ordered the Fresno Fig Burger with fig marmalade, goat cheese, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula, and spicy porter mustard. Whew... that burger was good! The combination of sweet and savory flavors just worked. My husband and I ended the meal by sharing the Bourbon Barrel Cake with candied pecans, bourbon caramel, and vanilla bean ice cream. Listen, don't leave without ordering it. It was absolutely delicious.

My husband and I have been wanting to try the Ube sliders for a while, and we decided to get that. We also go the Panda Style fries with spam. When we got our food, everything looked so delicious. We've had the Panda Style Fries before. And it never disappoints. The fries have great taste from the seasoning to the sauce. And the spam brings out that saltiness the fries need. I love the grilled onions on top. We usually eat it from the top to the bottom, so we usually don't get much sauce or toppings when we get to the bottom. I think it's meant to be mixed, but we don't want it to get mushy. The be sliders were good. The patty, sauce, and grilled onions were good. The Ube bread didn't have much Ube taste to us (imo). And I felt like I was getting more bread than the actually patty and what was inside the burger. I felt like I could have used more sauce to soften up the dry texture I get from the bed. But overall it was good. This place is located inside the Steelcraft so it has a nice, chill ambiance. The place can get busy, especially when they are showing games. But a nice place to hang out and chill over some food and drinks.

The day of the party the host helped me with positioning the tables and did not hesitate to assist. I love that they went the extra mile to customize a menu for us. Our waiter Patrick was on point and Leti was also very helpful with setting up. The party was a big success and well managed. All of my guests were happy with the food and service and were also impressed with how efficient things went. Today's visit we were assisted by Kyle and Jesus. Kyle had a wonderful personality and provided excellent service. The manager on duty Jesus was making his rounds to the tables and was also very attentive. This team is an absolute joy. Thank you Cerritos Islands Team for your excellent customer service.

Sat at the bar and addressed efficiently by the bartender who was wearing a Kor v Mex shirt. She handled everyone's orders with professional care and speed and made sure to check on everyone regularly. Happy hour menu was decent. Went with cheddar fries (good, kinda salty) and spinach dip (not enough salt?) and a $5 22oz coors light while I waited for my amiga to arrive. If you want extra hype this ain't that type of crowd but as a solo female non-regular bar guest, this was perfect and chill. Glad to have a landing spot for the next game!
