After checking in at front desk we were given a dog treat for my dog along with a card for a complimentary meal for her :) There was plenty of open seats on the patio and picked were we wanted to sit. Order my baby grilled change chicken bowl. Portion was waaay too big for her so we put half aside to take home . The other half she devoured all the chicken and left the veggies and rice lol For my fiancé we ordered: buffalo chicken nuggets. We loved this! Nuggets were crispy and came out piping hot. Chicken shawarma salad, this was ok . I was expecting this check to have a different flavor. For me, the taste of the flavor on the chicken didn't really compliment the salad, and the dressing very well. It wasn't bad it just was not to my liking and probably would not order this salad again :/ Fiancé ordered the bbq bacon ranch bacon burger. He ordered the pattie medium and came out perfectly cooked. Service was great, our server was super friendly and attentive. I forgot that one of the reasons we don't frequent here is because of the strict rules for dogs on the patio. No dogs on your lap, which my dog was not having. She always sits on our lap at every restaurant we go to with the patio. So I ended up having to put her in my purse, and the purse was on my lap. I honestly come here for one reason and one reason only happy hour. They have me in a chokehold. The happy hour drinks are hard to beat, and the food prices are good. So yes... I'm here for the deal. That being said, quality control is definitely on a lunch break sometimes. The silverware is a gamble. Will it be clean? Will there be dried food chunks? It's like a tiny surprise every visit. I've also had shots with mystery floaties, sometimes what looks like pepper, sometimes Tajín hanging out somewhere on the glass or floating in the drink. Do I still drink it..? unfortunately, yes. Should I have to? Probably not. I'd at least like the illusion that everything got a thorough wash before making its way to my table. My biggest pet peeve, though, is the little tubs the hummus comes in. They're almost always chipped, and underneath the white coating it looks... rusty? I don't know if it actually is, but it definitely doesn't inspire confidence. At some point those should probably retire with dignity instead of continuing to serve hummus. The last few times I've sat in the bar seating area, there have also been bar gnats flying around. They're basically unpaid restaurant employees at this point, but I'd rather not spend my meal swatting them away. The food itself is... fine. The chicken bites are inconsistent. Sometimes they're huge pieces, sometimes they're tiny little nuggets, but somehow it all evens out. One visit, our bread came out looking like it had lost a fight with a volcano. I asked about it, and they said that's how it's made. Thankfully, our server offered to bring out another order of bread, and the replacement was much better actually charred instead of cremated (see the picture). Huge credit to the server for handling it well and trying to make things right. If the first batch was actually considered acceptable, though... Idk about all of that. Overall: Food: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Happy hour pricing: 4.5/5 (the real MVP) Service: Usually really good. I've only had one server who dropped the ball, but it wasn't enough for me to care. At the end of the day, I'm not coming here expecting a five star dining experience. I'm coming because my wallet and Lazy Dog happy hour are in a committed relationship. I met my girlfriends for happy hour and chisme. Love love HH at Lazydog ... We are in love with the feta honey dip and the lemon pepper tater tots. Can't ever get enough of that toasted pieces of bread and dip, so salty but so delicious. This time I tried the chicken masala meatballs and the cucumber salad. Cucumber salad is for sure a new fave. I don't think I'll do the meatballs again though. The wings and fries are also always a for sure. We always so a drink or two. Very decent prices on drinks also. This was my first time here, and the main reason I decided to visit was because I wanted to bring my dog along for dinner. I had heard so many great things about this place, so I finally gave it a try. I really loved the patio and the fact that they have a dog-friendly menu--such a cute touch! The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was great. My only disappointment was that the patio has a posted rule stating that barking or aggressive dogs are not allowed, yet a couple nearby had two small dogs that barked loudly at every dog that walked by. It made the experience uncomfortable, and unfortunately, nothing was done about it. It doesn't seem fair to guests who bring well-behaved dogs and follow the rules. On a positive note, the manager was very welcoming and even gave us a free appetizer card since it was our first visit, which was a thoughtful gesture. I was torn between 3 dishes, but ultimately chose a seasonal lemon and ricotta pasta. It was delicious! For desert I wrapped it up with a butter cake with raspberry sauce- it was just the right amount of sweet. I recently had lunch here with a good friend and set out on the patio this time. I really enjoyed the patio area except the nuisance of the flies. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. Just as a note for anyone who's not familiar with the area, the restaurant is located at the Cerritos mall, but can be accessed from the outside. Parking can be challenging, but eventually, you will find one. We had a very friendly server but she failed to tell us about the lunch specials. My friend was familiar with them so we were able to find the specials. The lunch special was a lunch entrée with a dessert for approximately $15. The portions are great, and the dessert was delicious! We ordered an appetizer, a mocktail and a cocktail and all were great! Surprisingly, I was really disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the fried chicken and ended up taking it home but just to toss it. The fried chicken was cold, soggy, and just terribly made. It had no flavor at all. I've had a few different dishes from here and it's the first time I've experienced a bad dish. Lesson learned for me! I will still be returning to this restaurant because they have other amazing dishes and overall the experience has been great! read more

For starters, Lazy Dog has been my go-to spot for almost a decade. I love their food, service and prices. I've had every burger on the menu and genuinely enjoy them all. I rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table, and have never waited more than 30. The ambiance is great, I love the aesthetic of the restaurant, bar and patio. Their beers are great, I recommend the sunspanked Red, it's one of my favorites. We came out last week to celebrate my sister's birthday, we quietly told our waiter we were celebrating her with a wink. Our server was friendly and attentive. The first thing that caught my eye however were the menus- they were dirty. They were splattered with old crusty food, grimey and generally kind of gross to look at and feel. This really surprised me, my experience over the years has always been great. They brought out a birthday cupcake for my sister, no fanfare and singing which we all appreciated, she wouldn't like the attention. When we got the bill there was a charge on there for a birthday dessert- also surprising because generally these birthday desserts are free for the birthday. All in all, we still enjoyed our time and I will be back with the hopes of finding clean menus and the same service I'm accustomed to. read more

Went here on a Thursday. I usually pass this place up but since there was a Laker game I decided to go inside and sit by some LCD screens @ bar side. It was happy hour. I ordered some draft beers along with some cocktails. Wasn't that crowded, so we were getting our drinks fast. Ordered some cucumber appetizers, chicken wings and Loco Moco fried rice. All was deliciously served with no wait time. Our waiter was prompt and the service being delivered was great. Definitely no complaints on my visit. I wished I would of documented our waiters name. Everything was going great... until it wasn't. Jennifer was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing -- super polite, attentive, and not a gatekeeper at all lol. I even complimented her lipstick and she didn't hesitate to tell me what brand it was. Love that. She brought out our drinks and I got the cucumber lemon sparkling refresher, which was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. We also ordered the Cajun fries, which were delicious (a little sweet too, which I was actually living for), and the Korean fried chicken bao buns, which were really good. Now here's where things started going downhill... I went to the restroom and 2 out of the 3 stalls didn't have toilet paper. I'm not sure about the third since it was occupied, but 2/3 being out is already not a great sign. When our food came out (all at once, which I appreciated), I started taking pictures for Yelp. After I finished, I noticed a fly on my plate -- just sitting there in one corner, not moving much no matter how I tried to shoo it away. (In my pictures it literally looks like a black sesame seed because of portrait mode blur, but I swear it was a fly -- I have witnesses ) I let Jennifer know, and she handled it really well. She was very apologetic, took the plate back, and the manager came out with a new dish on the house, which I appreciated. After comparing both plates, I also realized the first dish was missing the baby corn, which is actually pretty noticeable when you look at the two side by side. The rest of the evening went smoothly, and overall the food had a nice mix of sweet and spicy. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals too. However... later that night, I had really bad stomach pains and was running back and forth between my bed and the restroom. I only had two meals that day, and this was the only new one, so I'm pretty sure it came from here. My server was amazing from start to finish--super attentive, friendly, and really made the whole experience smooth. Now let's talk about the food... the chicken Caesar salad was TO DIE FOR. The only chain restaurant I frequent regularly. Service really depends on what time you go in. I've had great service to not so good. But, I don't come here for the service. Can't beat their Happy Hour Menu. Great food options at a great price. Weekdays 3-6pm. Sunday-Thursday 9pm to close. I always order the Brussels Sprouts. Really like their hamburger and chicken lettuce wraps. Recently just had their Tikka Marsala Meatballs, delicious. I also really like their brunch menu. Went here for the first time and will be going again! So went on a Friday night and it's pretty busy will say, not a problem just expect a lively restaurant. Even despite that, the service and staff were great! Always very attentive and nice and informative about any all questions we had. There is a lot on their menu and they have lots of drinks to try also,an all that we tried was great! The food was so good! They brought out some potato chips which don't be fooled, these were the best potato chips I've ever had. I'm not sure what the seasoning was to be real with you but it was delicious and fresh. So highly recommend trying those! The burger I had got was also delicious and the fries were cooked to perfection! Have never been here before and want to try so much other things on their menu! I do think the drinks and appetizers/side dishes are what really stood out to me and those are where my attention is going to be next time I visit. The main dishes are great! Majority of the menu had American cuisine with a few other ethnic dishes sprinkled into the menu. We were seated after 15 minutes of waiting, so the wait wasn't too long. I thought the food quality was mediocre. The ribs were dry, not fall off the bone. The fried chicken was bland and didn't have much flavor. The ribeye bibimbap was missing the gochujang sauce, which is a must have for me. The highlight of the meal was the crispy deviled eggs which was an appetizer. The salads were pretty tasty too. I want to start off by saying our dinner here was good and our server was very friendly. My complaint would be that the restaurant seems to have fruit flies all over the place. We were not seated near the bar. We were close to the back wall that has the booths and we're having to swat away at least 10 or more of these fruit flies . We decided to have dinner here since we were going to be going to the movies normally we have a great experience. Everything is perfect. This time it was a bit different. It was very busy. We put in our name and we were called back with within 40 minutes, we went ahead and went in, and the young gentleman was taking us to a high rise table. This was my very first time trying Lazy Dog. I came here as I was waiting for my car service to be done. So I came here on a Saturday morning for brunch. Service: It was pretty empty which I was okay with. I can't remember my servers name ugh and I'm so mad because she was amazing !! It was great chit chat and never felt rushed while I was trying to figure out what I wanted. Food: I ended up getting the country chicken & biscuit. Personally I loved it. The chicken was not dry at all. The whole dish had great flavor. My favorite part? The Cajun gravy and spicy maple syrup. They also have 4 different sauces on your table. It was busy, but luckily there was a table that was being cleaned that we would be able to sit at. This location is a good size and seems clean. It is at the mall which can get crowded but the day we went was not too bad. We ordered a round of drinks. I got the Pomegranate Sour Mocktail. It had good pomegranate flavor and was tart instead of sweet. My partner and I ordered the Smoked Trout Dip and the Fried Chicken Dinner Fireside Favorite which is a smaller portion but comes with a dessert. For the dessert, we had the option of a Banana Pudding or Smores Brownie and we chose the latter. Food took about 20 or so minutes to come out. The Fried Chicken Dinner was good. The chicken was a bit dry but it had a hot honey drizzle on top which added flavor. The mashed potatoes were good and the gravy was savory but not too salty. The spinach came with bits of bacon. There was surprisingly a lot of bacon. The Smoked Trout Dip got mistaken for the Trout dinner entree so we had that swapped out. The Dip came out fairly quickly. The dip itself was good and had a decent amount of trout in it, but it did not taste smoky and the chips were too fragile to use to scoop the dip. We ended up using utensils to put the dip on the chips. The chips were supposed to be everything bagel flavored but they did not taste seasoned that way. The combination of the chips, dip, onions, and capers was solid though. Overall, giving Lazy Dog a 4/5. Our server was friendly and quick. Food was okay and it is a good ambiance for having a group meal. Would return for Happy Hour or another group meal. read more

There's is just something welcoming about coming to Lazy Dog. I have my go to and try to venture out every now and then. My classic order is the Ahi Tuna Bowl. It's a large portion of mixed flavors without being fooled by a large service of rice. Delicious food and drinks are definitely expected and delivered at my Lazy Dog experiences. We usually opt to sit outside, which is typically pleasant--though our last visit felt more like a dog bark-off than a relaxing meal. The food has always been solid. I usually go for the brussel sprouts, which are delicious, but this time I tried their mini corn dogs and fries! Both were cooked crispy which I liked. I came here to relive the Lazy Dog Elite Event at Brea. Sadly, it didn't deliver. Just a little angry at the moment because after 2 phone calls at curb pickup today, no one came to my car. First call response -"oh okay" and hangs up Second call response twenty minutes later -"let me look for it" So after 45 minutes, I enter and told the girl at the register. My bag was right behind her. It was not her fault, but she said it was a "glitch" in their system. I live 10 minutes away and after opening my bag sadly, the pretzel crusted schnitzel was rubbery. The fries were soggy and tasteless. I would say the pot roast beef dip did survive the wait. That is still a hit. (hence the 2 stars) So my awesome memory of this place got wiped out in one order. I would've loved to have replacement fries and a replacement schnitzel that would've made me happy. I just wanted to say that if you were the person behind the phone, and you don't do what you're supposed to, then you shouldn't be working the phone. read more
