    Nice guy!
    Quita M.

This was an amazzzzzing experience!! George is top tier! He made sure I was good and had the experience I desired! Please try him whenever you have free time. I promise you will not be disappointed.service was fast and pizza is good. You can eat inside as well, so that's great. It is not that big inside but just enough space. It is not often the owner truly care about your experience and today they truly cared

That's their large pizza .. size of a cupcake and exact shape how it was delivered

This is ridiculous I tried to find size of the pizza before ordering and it doesn't show you that actually they bring one kids portion pizza!!! Very unhappy I ordered pizza and fries for two of my workers and ended up ordering another pizza because obviously it's a joke. Not even mentioning how fucked up the pizza was itself

    Broccoli White Pizza

Will not be ordering here again. Much better pizza places in the area. I ordered a broccoli white pizza with added tomatoes and this dry slab is what they sent. It was hard as a rock - almost cracked a tooth. Tried to call them to check on my order and their phone was off the hook. Obviously they don't care about customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could.

    how do you spell Corropolese
    James P.

I have cheesesteak envy!! @diningonadime posted a picture of a George's cheesesteak and their's was much bigger than mine!! At $8 in Philly I am not going to complain (much). 2 of my favorite things that don't necessarily need to go together, corropolese roll and a toasted roll. Corropolese rolls stand on their own but it is George's pizza and not Jim's. Very good roll, with or without the toasting. The meat had a good flavor. Very good amount of cheese and the cheese was melted very nicely. Overall, The cheesesteak needed more of everything but if you are in the city and only have $8 in your pocket, have I got a (good) cheesesteak for you!!

Not done burger with a mountain of onions and soda instead of the juice I ordered

I am giving ZERO STARS I have tried to order from this place several times and they NEVER GET THE ORDER CORRECT and they are super IGNORANT when asked to fix or refund I will never order here again I ordered this time a WELL DONE cheeseburger with an ICED TEA and this is the crap I got a mid rare burger with a load of onions and a soda that I can not drink and had a nerve to try and refund $5 when the food was 7.99 they need to learn to read and get customer service

    Pepperoni Rollup $5
    Mitch N.

So in the year 2015, George's has been my go to spot. I've ordered here 15 times and have gotten the following menu items: 1 Mega Fries $5.00 12 Tacos $4.50 1 Pepperoni Rollup $5.00 1 Grilled Chicken Quesadilla $7.00 1 Ground Beef Quesadilla $7.00 1 Italian Hoagie $5.75 1 Mozzarella Sticks $3.75 My go to order is the ground beef quesadilla and mozzarella sticks. I've done that order 4-5 times at least, but I've also ventured off and tried some other items. The megafries were great. I normally don't care for fries, but I was craving them. The portion was generous and there was a ton of of cheese and bacon. I order megafries once per year, so I don't have a lot to compare to, but these seemed to be pretty good. The minitacos, are something I wouldn't order again. I ordered them just to make the delivery minimum and they are just like the ones that you can buy at the grocery store. They come with a side of salsa, but not with a side of sour cream. The pepperoni rollup was great. It really exceeded my expectations. Check out the picture I posted to see for yourself. The grilled chicken and ground beef quesadilla's are solid. I particularly like the groundbeef quesadilla. It's much different than you would expect. It's almost like a mini meatball quesadilla. They are very generous with their onions and peppers on these quesadillas and the tortilla is light and airy, but fried crisp. The italian hoagie is good and for 5.75 it's a really good deal, make sure to specify if you want oil + vinegar or mayo (I get both, because I can) The mozzarella sticks here are my favorite from any delivery place in the city. 1st of all they are the deep fried kind that are square logs. Not the baked circular log with crumbly breading kind. (Yuck). Most places will charge you 5 dollars for 5 sticks or 5 dollars for 6 sticks. Nope here they charge 3.75..... I get them every time, no order is complete without them. Overall, given the 1 dollar delivery fee, the cheap prices, and the fast service. There is a multitude of reasons why I've had 15 orders here this year. 5 start----- Def skip the mini tacos and get the cheese sticks EVERY TIME.

Our server apologized for a delay in taking our drink orders. She was attentive the rest of our meal. I ordered a Charles deGaulle whiskey cocktail. Lemon, aperol and simple syrup added a refreshing twist. For entrees, my wife ordered the pacherri; a simple pork ragu with tender broccoli rabe, Parmesan, stracciatello and basil. The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme. Cocktail prices and entree prices were very reasonable. They offer happy hour drinks and specials. Certainly a very good choice if you're in the area.

The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

The hostess took our coats (a nice touch!) and then a rotation of two servers explained the specials and we ordered. I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. We are so lucky to have an amazing (and nationally recognized!) pizza spot in the neighborhood and it's always nice when you can walk in without a reservation from time to time.

EXCELLENT LATE-NIGHT STOP! MUST TRY!…read more We walked in about an hour before closing on a Thursday night--never an ideal entrance. You know the look. The polite smile that says "it's fine" while the eyes say "it is absolutely not." Totally understandable. No one loves a near-close order. I even acknowledged it out loud--apologized, explained we weren't from the area, and that we were just trying to grab a quick bite because it was one of the few places still open. She said it was okay. Her face said otherwise. Fair enough. Here's where it turned around. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and legitimately impressive. Not "good for late night" good--just plain good. Every bite was fresh, the ingredients tasted clean, and the pizza clearly hadn't been rushed or phoned in despite the timing. Hunger probably helped, but even factoring that out, this was a standout. Honestly, I was kicking myself for not ordering an extra one to go before leaving the city. That's how good it was. We did try to get drinks, but were told the soda machine was down. The nozzles were off, so I'm guessing it was a cleaning/end-of-night thing. I won't ding them for it--though let's be real, tossing nozzles in sanitizer isn't exactly a marathon. Still, not a deal-breaker. Restaurant was clean, but of course, they were near closing. I tipped her a few bucks for staying late, and left genuinely satisfied. Bottom line: the food carried this experience completely. If you're visiting Philadelphia and need a reliable, fresh, late-night bite, &Pizza is absolutely worth the stop. Sometimes the places you expect the least end up delivering the most. I plan to 100000% return (and it'll probably be near closing time again, too)

Fortunately, I got booked on a flight out the next morning and found a hotel in the city. Other than running to a drug store, my only other time leaving my hotel was to grab dinner at Pizzeria Vetri across the street. I enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance. I was immediately seated upon arriving to Pizzeria Vetri. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar, at a table, or at the pizza counter. I chose the pizza counter so that I could watch staff making pizzas. As I was there on my own, the serving staff continued to stop by and check on me. The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads. I chose a Neapolitan-style pepperoni pizza consisting of pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh oregano. It was quite filling and absolutely delicious! They also sell pizza kits so that you can make your own pizza at home. Pizzeria Vetri was created to celebrate the art of authentic pizza making. They aimed to create simple food made exactly the right way using the best and freshest ingredients served in a space where all are welcome.
