Absolute worst bbq I've ever tasted. Priced too high & the service was a joke. Will never go back or recommend anyone to this horrible place

You'd think customer service where you place your own order up front would be pretty good at the very least. Once the girl decided to acknowledge my presence, I paid and she disappeared without giving me my drink cup or saying a word. I finally got her attention for the cup and figured out I needed plastic utensils in the caddy nearby. I did receive my food promptly. The table and sauce bottles were VERY sticky. The turkey tasted like lunchmeat and was barely warm; actually I've had lunchmeat that was much better. The brisket was sparse and had quite a bit of fat, but what I did eat was tasty. The best thing by far was the fried okra. As I left, I could hear my Skechers sticking to the floor. read more

I had the pulled pork with potato salad and baked beans for the sides, and it was good. The sides could use a bit more flavor, but the pulled pork was full of vinegar-based flavor. They have fabulous sweet BBQ sauce! The service was quick and price was right ($21 for two of us for lunch). read more

We were stuck in Byron while our RV was being repaired. We tried the pulled pork platters but wish we hadn't. The meat was boiled in a sweet tomato- based sauce that even Texas Pete could not spice up. While it may have been "pulled" pork it appeared to be finely but unevenly chopped meat as there was at least one whole slice of brisket and some really tough burnt ends that missed being chopped. But at least those pieces gave some texture to an otherwise mush-like pile of pinkish slime. The fried okra was good. read more

Meats and Bar-b-que sauces are great! Sides are mostly canned or frozen stuff they warmed up. If they put more effort into the sides being as good as the meat, they would move up to 5*s. read more

Stopped in for dinner on the way to Orlando, Florida the food was good but I wouldn't get off the highway just for the food. Had to stop for fuel and asked around for a Barbecue Place and this was recommend so we stopped in for dinner. If you are starving this is not the place to go. read more

Had pulled pork sandwich, was somewhat chunky. Beans came in a tiny little cup with a spoon it might have been 4 spoonfuls. Otherwise had good taste and was fresh. read more

Cashier was very rude. Customer service is eveything. The restraunt was very clean and well stocked.

The wife and I are done with them. Food was mediocre at best in presentation and taste (again). I felt like the staff was there just to shove the food out, no personable service at all. The facility needs a good scrubbing also. I'll go elsewhere for bbq from now on. read more

I had to give this rating based on my experience today. This was my first visit to this BBQ joint. First of all the pros....the wooden swing and wooden chairs at the front of the building, the coleslaw, the garlic bread and the sweet tea. The cons....the brisket was pretty dry, the pulled pork should not have sauce already added (that is the customer's job, pork tasted like it was scooped from an institutional can/tub of pulled pork, the Brunswick stew may be the worst I've ever eaten (appears to be puréed through a blender and could be consumed with a straw or IV), and the price after all this makes you wonder what you were thinking or was my stomach doing all the talking. I see no need to return to this establishment, because all of the positives I can get at many other restaurants. read more

If ever a town needed a restaurant, Byron, GA would be the place to go. We walked in Georgia Bob's BBQ and the first thing we noticed was that our feet were sticking to the floor. We should have turned around and left but since it was the only sit down restaurant that we saw we figured it would be okay to overlook. We placed our order, found a booth and waited for our order. Five customers walked in and ordered after we did, all five customers and at least four drive thru customers received their orders before we received ours. Our food was finally called out and it was served on a filthy tray. My wife's food was unwrapped fried low quality junk that she couldn't eat. My food was somewhat better. The beef and ribs tasted pretty good but they were not hot. My coleslaw was cool but above 40 degrees and suspicious. The napkin holder was empty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. The pepper shaker was just as bad. I ate most of my food, my wife only ate a small portion of hers. We will not be coming back here again. read more

Ribs were good. Chicken was a boneless breast and too much pepper. Side of stew was 4 oz. I thought that it was priced a little high for the amount of food that the give. $10 for 3 ribs, a tiny too peppery 3oz boneless chicken breast, 15-20 French fries, 4 oz of stew and 2 pieces if bread. I guess I am spoiled with some of the other BBQ places I go. read more

The bbq was amazing, the sweet bbq sauce was to die for, along with the fried okra. Definitely recommend

food taste good and I live nearby so we go there a good bit mostly take out. Food is pretty pricey also very stingy with the little cups of sauce, if you use the drive through check your bag if you want sauce. read more

I had the best beef brisket since I've been to Georgia in Peach County. On my way to PCBFL and literally drove straight to it. Best cole slaw since Brooklyn NY! Would recommend to my family and friends. Yum! read more

Was here last night for a rehearsal dinner. Pork and chicken was served along with green beans, potato salad, and Brunswick stew...which was different but not bad. Overall pork and chicken was good. Best thing in my opinion was the sauces. I love BBQ spots that offer several choices of sauces. read more

We stopped here on our journey home from a trip we had taken to Andersonville, GA. We were really glad. The service was quick. The BBQ was very good and the price was reasonable. We tried the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Our sides were baked beans, Brunswick stew, Cole slaw and corn nuggets. Everything was delicious. read more

I'm convinced there are paid employees leaving reviews here because this restaurant doesn't even come close to 5 stars. For a $14 rib plate (before taxes) I got 6 ribs, a spoon full of potato salad, several spoons of brunswick stew, and 2 pieces of dry sandwich bread without butter or anything. My friend got the same and we both left hungry. We had to buy some hamburger meat and grill out after we got home. We both wished we had gone to the Zaxbys next door and I recommend the same to anyone. Now I know the true meaning of highway robbery. read more

I have been here a bunch of times but lately this place is sliding down here sticky tables you look up at the ceiling around the a/c vents and there is such a build up of dust around the its just gross. Girls at the front very nice. But quality of food in the chicken salad chew good because of bones, the half chicken plates well if you like food warmed up but the inside will be cold. The chicken wings at first were the bomb but not they are no bigger than your pinky finger and they look like a dog has chewed them up and they come out under cooked. The bbq sandwich is probably the safest bet but found piece of a blue glove a couple of weeks ago. The fries taste like they fry them up in the am and serve all day long blah and they put so much season salt to cover it up. The ribs are warmed up the macncheese its like you get a dried crust when you order it the green beans straight out of can blah. What ever you do dont go around the building the employees walking around smoking pressure washing while your trying to decide what you want and that smell and mist comes straight to your window and sometimes there will be someone jumping up and down in the dumpster. And one night there was a guy digging threw trash bags from inside getting the red plates they give you with a basket meal. Im like why wouldn't you get a different trash can so customers cant put them in the trash can like Moe's or Shanes. Just goes to show how cheap they are and now they rasied the price of everthing. Was driving down I 75 with a general aversion to chain restaurants. Stopped at the "Big Peach" and found this gem. Pulled pork like it'd been smoked for day. (Spicy sauce is great and not too spicy.) More used to Va style Brunswick stew, but this is the best stew I've ever had. Wife still cannot stop raving about the chicken salad; she made us get some to take home, so I got several pounds of cue for the road. Service was fast and friendly. Such a welcome change to the bleak world of chainland on I-75. Locals have it good, plenty of TVs and they even serve beers. Would be here for every sporting event if I were a Byronian (sp.) Wish we had cue half as good in Nashville. read more

This is the only BBQ restaurant my wife will eat at. For the price, it is a good value and we have never had a bad meal here.

Georgia Bob's has a wide variety of food and everything I have ever tried is delicious. Some of my favorites are sweet tea, fried okra, chicken salad, BBQ, and their Buffalo Chicken Tenders are better than Zaxby's! Thank you GA Bob's! read more

One of my new favorite stops on my Florida to Atlanta trips. Restaurant was clean, service was not doting but definitely efficient. I had the brisket and smoked sausage. As a Texan, I'm very critical of non- Texas bar b q. However, the brisket was nice and moist, hint of vinegar and the perfect amount of smoke. The sausage was good, but I have as good elsewhere. So, if you can only pick one thing don't get the sausage, it's good but you'll miss out on the even better brisket and ribs. My wife had the ribs (St Louis style) which were cooked to perfection and did not require additional saucing. The table sauces were nice, but unnecessary as all of the meats were moist. The sides we had were all good, potato salad, Cole slaw, and green beans. The baked beans benefited from the kick of Hot table barbecue sauce. I would be remiss for not mentioning the to-go bag of fried, seasoned pork skins (cracklings). These were absolutely fantastic. read more
