We had such a great experience at another local BBQ joint for lunch, we decided to try another. Beautiful from the outside, not bad on the inside. Staff was friendly, but when asked what the best thing to order the reply took me by surprise. "Get the chicken salad.". Isn't this a BBQ place? Quick stop on road trip. I had the brisket which was very tender, great with some sweet bbq sauce. My family had the ribs but found them fatty and greasy. They didn't enjoy them. The fried okra was good especially with the spicy sauce they give you. Don't leave without trying the fried green beans! They were definitely a highlight. read more

Good BBQ great staff, just don't try coming here after dark!! I drove past the very dark entrance, then once I pulled into the parking lot it's was so dark I really didn't know where to park. I have been her a few times during the day light hours with no problems but with all the pecan trees at night this is a dark establishment. Luckily I had a to-go order so I didn't stay to long. What they do well, they do very well -- pulled pork, burgers, brisket. The pulled pork garden salad was good -- veggies were really fresh, but the Ken's salad dressing in pre-packed cups was disappointing. Mac'n cheese was creamy and rich. The big hit was fried corn nuggets, but the fried pickles lacked flavor. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars. read more

The barbecue was solid. The ribs and sauce were good, the sausage was...well...sausage, and the beef brisket was above average if not spectacular. I am a little torn.... I came in around 1150 on a Friday and the rush hadn't hit yet... while the food tasted good it was not really smoked bbq - i had the combo plate with ribs and pulled pork (only because they don't serve dark meat chicken with the combo?!?!) with slaw and beans for the sides - the ribs were rather tasteless and overcooked with a drizzle of sauce on them - they almost tasted boiled and oven cooked... the pulled pork was really strange - it was dry but was cooked in a vinegar sauce that added flavor that was good but still couldn't mask that it was overcooked - the slaw was halfway decent - the beans were typical with an almost out of a can taste and as others have said was a small portion overall I don't regret coming here and eating - i do regret dropping almost $12 on sub-par bbq - i probably would come here again and go with something different just to see if it can get better if you come here just don't expect to have the best bbq you've ever had but don't expect a nasty meal either... read more

Someone recommended this place to me when I said I was craving some beef brisket. Well first I called in my order beef brisket, potato salad and fried okra. Then I decided to get the sweet potato tots because I've never had anything like that before. I call back 5 mins later and they can't change it. Ok no big deal I told them not to worry about it I should have decided before hand. About the food I was not impressed. The okra was very and had this hard coating. Hot sauce couldn't save those poor hard things. The potato salad was pretty good but it had a bunch of pepper in it which I found a little strange. The beef brisket was the biggest disappointment. It was so vinegary. I know that's not a word but that's what came to mind. My mouth was set for some awesome brisket. I totally agree with the previous comments about the nasty, sticky floors. We didn't notice until after we'd ordered, then when we sat down the table was sticky and nasty, the bbq sauces were icky & sticky. This place is so gross i wanted to ask for our money back before they made our food so we could just leave. If everything that the customer can see & feel is nasty why would you think that their kitchen prep would be any cleaner? The walls have more bbq sauce stains on them than on their watery bbq itself. I have to say this will be our last time coming here. We came at 12:00 on Tuesday and were the only customers in the entire place. The employees spent the entire time behind the counter just walking around wasting time. They should've been cleaning the nasty place. This really sucks for Byron we have so little to pick from as it is. What a shame. read more

Place was cold--young lady that took our order was not friendly--food was not close to being good--friends brisket was not fresh more like the day before-they did not insist that customers standing in line to order wear a mask. read more

Tasty and decent prices. For a "fast food" type barbecue restaurant, it wasn't bad. The size of the side of Brunswick Stew was disappointing. It was maybe a quarter of a cup. It seems like it would be better to have it as a separate menu item. Well.....Tired of wasting money. Pre-covid we ate at Ga Bobs from time to time. Both Byron location and Warner Robins location. The last WR visit the grilled chicken sandwich was thrown in the trash (at the restaurant) and I left hungry to finish shopping. I took a pic of a barely cooked (still white as it could be) tiny piece of chicken with NO taste nor sauce of any kind and a white piece of lettuce. After weeks of no time to do a review, I deleted the pic. Well, at that time I said we will NOT come back. Food had been going down hill. Went today to Byron location. Main reason for going to get 1lb chicken salad. A after thought was to get a pulled pork dinner for a belated lunch and have chicken salad for dinner. Ordered pulled pork dinner and then 1lb chicken salad. Got home Something wet was all over paper bag, in the bottom of the plastic bag, and puddled 1/4 inch in my tray of food. Tasted like Pickle juice. This big of a MESS could not have been on accident. That is the least of the problem. Got 1lb pulled pork and NOT my chicken salad, Pork tasted strange in the dinner, as did the potato salad. If someone had brought that to me in just a tray, I would have thought, based on taste and sloppy look, it came from a school cafeteria. I'm not exaggerating in the least. I think your help resent being back at work (after getting extra unemployment due to covid) who knows. When she handed me my food she had a pissed look on her face and said nothing. I'm not going to keep wasting my time, money, and finding other things to eat after Ga Bobs food fails miserably. Both locations are a good drive and there are many other places to eat at. Fast hot food served in a reasonable time. Do the combo plate and get a great meal. Smoked Turkey is the best. Try the macaroni and cheese you won't be disappointed. Pulled pork comes with sauce already added so beware. Spicy tangy good. No frills spot with room to stretch out and pig out. read more

We were driving through and wanted to have lunch. We Should have gotten something from the gas station. The brisket was terrible; dry, thin and zero bark or flavor. Pulled pork; terrible, mushy, bland and zero smokiness. The sausage; reminded me of a giant breakfast link. No smoke, no color, just bad. The Mac and cheese tasted packaged. The stew was thin and bland. The slaw was sour and warm. Garlic bread was very soggy. Baked beans, though probably canned, weren't too bad. Even the sweet tea wasn't very good. How do you screw up sweet tea?!? Overall, I would NEVER return or recommend this place. Overpriced trash. read more

I recently used Georgia Bobs catering services for an event. I worked directly with John Cox and he was wonderful. My order changed a few times but John was allows easy to work with. They showed up on time and had our order perfect. The people attending the event enjoyed the food and the event was a success. I would definitely use them again. read more

If you appreciate good BBQ, don't bother. The pork was way too soft and wet like it had sat in a crockpot in water. Mild sauce was way too tart with vinegar, and the spicy and sweet were ok when mixed, but too "watery". The meat absorbed it and you had to keep putting more on to get the flavor, but it just made the meat even more wet. Brisket was just ok. read more

I looked all over Oklahoma for the best barbecue, and, who knew, I had to come back home to find it. Last time, I ordered a full rack of ribs and an order of fries. The ribs were succulent, with a nice, smoky flavor that went right down to the bone, and no need to add sauce or anything else, while the fries had an excellent potatoey flavor, without too much salt. The only place that remotely compares is Clarksville, Arkansas' own Fat Dawg's. Will definitely be coming back for more. read more

Traveling back to Florida from the Breeders' Cup in Louisville, my Brother and I just wanted some good barbeque. Just a couple of regular guys looking for some good food; nothing more, nothing less. We saw the billboard on the interstate and made our way over. We arrived about 6pm on a Sunday evening to a very nice facility and hopes were high. Got up to the counter and were greeted by a straight faced young lady that didn't even ask how we were... That was good first contact, we must've seemed foreign, like from another planet. There was another lady that behind the counter that at one point, looked like she may want to help us, but then realized she needed to pick the dirt out of her nails... After placing our order without even receiving a smile or an unnecessary word otherwise, we made our way to our own seats. The unsweet tea was on par (how can you mess up unsweet tea?). My Brother got the food from the counter when it was ready and brought it back to our table. I was a little hungry so I aimed high; I ordered the "10.99 pick two", I was ready to throw down. I got St. Louis Ribs and Brisket, with sides of potato salad and baked beans, all of which I'm very familiar with as they are standard fare at any barbeque establishment, a safe bet. The meats were cold, both ribs and both slices of brisket (the smallest portions I've ever received at a barbeque joint, including small lunch plates). I have to assume it wasn't smoked or even cooked with any proper technique or regard. Bland meat on both counts your honor (SUSTAINED!), it just was not good. The spicy BBQ sauce helped a little. The potato salad tasted like it was seasoned with comet bathroom cleanser... clean and soapy. The beans were actually okay, edible. Overall the food was the served in the smallest portions possible and was truly the worst barbeque I've ever eaten. The plain sliced white bread was the shining star on the plate. On the plus side for the overall experience, the bathroom was clean and had a good working soap dispenser. I liked that a lot. Bottom line: I would not recommend this place, even to my worst enemies. Sadly enough, even they would deserve better. I felt like we were treated like they didn't want us there and they tried to scare us away with the food... Their tactics worked. Poor service + poor food = NOT GOOD. On a scale of 1-10, I'd honestly have to give it a 2 because I didn't vomit and the bathroom experience was as pleasant as it was. The good: It's clean and the food is typically hot. The bad: The pulled pork is consistently overcooked, then soaked in a vinegary sauce in an attempt to mask how dry it is. Put a pork butt in your crock pot for 8 hours--it'll end up tasting better. The ribs are tough. Chicken is bone dry. Most of the sides are canned or frozen, or at least taste like it. The only way this place stays in business is a lack of competition. I'd rather grab fast food in Byron than eat this slop. read more

Decided to come here because I heard the wings are good. The wings are awesome here. If you dont like oversauced but still somewhat crispy wings, this is the place to get them. I've read other reviews to try out the sweet potato tots which they are pretty good. I'll have to come back to try the bbq, but I approve the wings. The prices are decent. read more

Wish I had read the previous review before stopping here. Hubby and I stopped on our way to Chicago. Looked promising because of all the trucks and vans in the parking lot. Girl at counter was okay not particularly friendly. I ordered the pulled pork plate with beans and fries. Hubs had 2 meat plate-beef and pulled pork with fried okra and slaw. My meat tasted like vinegar. I had to add a LOT of sweet sauce. Hubs said with the right combination of sauces, it didn't taste TOO bad. Okra was good he says . Fries were stale and cold. Beans were the high point. Sticky tables, I hate that. We wouldn't call it Bar BQ. Never go back. Ignore the highway signs. Eat somewhere else. read more
