02/09/26 - I have been coming to Georgia Nut Company (GTC) for years located @ 7500 Linder Ave. I have been coming here for years usually to pick up some dark chocolates or nuts. I swung by Georgia Nut Company to pick up some dark chocolate covered almonds today after lunch w/my buddies. Over the years GTC has scaled back the size of their retail store but it's still worth stopping in & perusing the store & pick up some goodies. read more

This place is great for candies and nuts. I love the salted mixed nuts. They're always fresh and a nice size. I like them because no peanuts is in the mix as a filler. The store has a free parking lot in front of the store, with the store displaying a mixture of gift baskets and clearance items. The lady behind the counter was super nice. read more

Sometimes you feel like a nut... I stopped into the Georgia Nut Retail Store at 7500 N Linder in Skokie. I have been here many times to buy nuts and candies for parties or work gatherings. The store is in back of the manufacturing facility. I remember coming into store and being greeted by the smell of warm toasted nuts and rich chocolate. There also used to be samples to try and bags of sale candies and nuts. On this visit it seemed like there were empty spots on the shelves and items were out or needed to be restocked. Maybe because this isn't a holiday season so demand is lower? I asked for roasted pecans but they were out. Also no macadamia nuts (but maybe they don't carry them?). I was happy to see a few sugar free options. ...sometimes you don't I drive past this area often so I hope to have a better experience next time. read more

I discovered this gem a couple months ago, and have been back in several times since. Things I love - - I'm a sesame stick girl, much more than nuts, and they have several options there, including larger, wider garlic sticks that are delicious. - They have a nice assortment of pre-packaged small candies, e.g. JuJus (gumdrops), fruit wedges, strawberry licorice ropes, fruit medallions, and even some swedish fish are kept behind the counter. My only complaint here is that they aren't consistent. Once visit the store was full of cherry medallions. The next visit, and since, I have yet to see them again. - Although I haven't tried it yet, the peanut brittle looks amazing. We're waiting for a safe window in the COVID crisis so we can take some of this, and some of the other candies to our kids in Nashville. There are a couple packaging things that have caused us some issues: - The medium sized plastic bags start to shred horizontally into thin strips through which the candy or sesame sticks could fall out. After a full day of use, there are several horizontal slits that run the full width of the bag. We're careful not to mishandle or catch them on anything -- it's almost as if the bags are designed to slit and shred. - The larger bags (e.g. ones that hold a pound of Swedish fish), often have zip tops that don't lock and hold correctly, causing some of the softer, chewier candies to dry out faster. Overall, we love the store, we love that it's never crowded, we love the flavors and quality of the products, we just wish you'd improve the packaging. It's not something that will keep us from coming there, but we'll need to start transferring everyone to our own containers to keep them together and fresh. Also, trying to always have the cherry juju medallions in stock would make us very, very happy! read more

If you have a sweet tooth and you're interested in awesome free samples, come here - they're really generous. Once you have a little of this and that - you'll be enticed and amazed at their prices for chocolate covered peanuts and pretzels, chocolate clusters, cashews, etc. I typically grab an assortment of items and that'll last me for a month. The folks at work love their stuff. Also, they have feed (peanuts) for squirrels if you're into that. I just prefer to feed the people at work. read more

I've known about the Georgia Nut retail store for awhile now, and thanks to Gerry T's review, I was reminded over the holidays to stop in. I was shopping for Christmas gifts and decided to mail out some delicious goodies to my family. I purchased chocolate covered pretzels, turtles, and a variety of flavored peanuts in generous-sized bags (only $.99). Located in an industrial area, this little off-the-beaten path candy shop carries a nice variety of pre-packaged chocolate covered nuts, covered cases with chocolates and other candy, and large crates filled with covered pretzels and seasoned peanuts. The majority of everything is made onsite, and you can see them making through the viewing window...fun for kids! We went a little crazy when we walked in. Immediately my husband practically ran to the samples and loaded up...my kids were right behind him (ha!). I went right for the bargains and also knew I was going to be picking up chocolate turtles. I tried all the items we purchased, and I have to say I'm a sucker for turtles. They were really delicious. Some where white chocolate, milk, and dark. Customer service was fine, and they have a parking lot right out front. The log is small, so I don't know how fast it fills up during the day. I've never been here but right now I'm munching on some chocolate-covered Oreo cookies from this little shop. For Christmas, my dad gifted me two large boxes filled with giant nut & chocolate goodies from here. In the boxes are chocolate-covered Oreos, peanut butter cups, almonds mixed with chocolate, some kind of chocolate-dipped caramel thing, and something else (?). These things are huge! And fresh! And so so so yummy! And wayyy too filling. One is all I can probably handle in a day. They're so pure and rich that it just fills melts inside and fills you up. Good place to get less expensive candy, nuts, dried fruit and specialty items. Cute store in a small industrial area of Skokie. Store right near the factory so you can get the freshest stuff. Lots of great clearance items, esp. after the holidays (XMAS, EASTER, VDAY). read more

This is a pleasant little factory outlet store. There is a lot of candy, chocolate and nuts to choose from. We picked out some nuts and pretzels to try. The shop is very clean and has a window where you can peer into the factory. I peeked in looking for any Oompa Loompas, but alas, all I saw were factory workers in white. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. We left loaded down with nuts and pretzels, so we declare this place a winner!!! read more

For a Company that makes an Order to be Shipped to them by Truck, they sure don't want their Load, or else they would be working to receive it instead of making Truck Drivers wait all freaking weekend to get unloaded. I definitely will not accept another Load to bring to this crappy lazy @$$ Company again. read more

Don't get the bad reviews here. The people working were friendly and the prices are ridiculously cheap (if you stay with the bargain bins). Yogurt pretzels have a short shelf life so they are almost always at a huge discount here since they are close to their expiration date and they either have to sell them or throw them out. You can usually get a couple pounds for a dollar or two. They always have some stuff I like on sale. I left with a 10 lbs of nuts and pretzels for just over $7. The chocolates and nuts behind the counter all seem to be on the expensive side, just stick with the bins! read more

They have old school nuts and candies for nominal price. A lot of the nuts are already prepackaged but the candies are sold by the weight.

Great deals all the time I look forward to taking the kids there to pick out anything they want.

Product is wonderful. I have bought here for years. Was at the store last week and I thought my bill was kind of high. So I asked about the weight on something and they couldn't give me an answer. Just kept pointing to my receipt. Since I kept asking, they had someone else take care of me. She too wouldn't tell me the exact weight only that she would re ring my purchase. I was overcharged double. Happy they adjusted my bill but, makes me wonder when I purchased before for weddings and showers, etc. what else was overcharged. I'm not saying not to buy here, just check your receipts. read more

At the last minute, my company decided to send candy to our customers. I called Georgia Nut and asked if they could fill a rather large order of English Toffee. They made 180 pounds or English Toffee in 24 hours, had it boxed and ready for me to pick up. They even included shipping boxes free of charge. I was lured in by the .99 sale sign. The only thing .99 were some bags of broken pretzels. I looked over the entire store and didn't see a decent price on anything. A lot of the chocolate had a matte finish with a slight bloom instead of being shiny. Not impressed. read more
