The store was immaculate and well-stocked. They offered several brands of the item I was looking for. I couldn't leave the store without checking out their bakery department and treated myself a mile-high chocolate cake. It was the highlight of the visit. The cake was heavenly. The store shares an enormous parking lot with other businesses. I will definitely spend more time in the store on my next visit to see what else I can find.

It's disheartening that while the employees work hard to make this store excellent, the owners' poor management ruins all of that hard work. CASE: Be careful with your car on busy or windy days. Poorly managed carts fly around the lot at very high speed and one of them hit someone's car. They declined to give their insurance info and offered to pay out of pocket instead. The whole time, they ignored my emails and stalled the process until I mentioned court. The manager and owner, Dimitris Svigos and Jonathan Svigos, agreed to reimburse my expenses in the end. But once I gave them the invoices, they ignored me completely and stopped responding. They make this difficult for you on purpose, simply because they can. UPDATE: I filed a small claims case. These two geniuses (one of them with an MBA) let it escalate, and they ended up agreeing to pay triple what we agreed to at first. Brilliant financial decision from the MBA. Then they started looking for excuses not to pay again and decided to hire a lawyer too, instead of just paying and getting it over with. It was another brilliant move from MBA. They also claim they never had authorization to agree to any payment, because the store actually belongs to their parents. So apparently Jonathan, Partner and VP of the store with an MBA, can't handle a small claims case without asking his daddy for permission I'll keep you posted.

The whole store front is floor to ceiling windows and they state clearly on the door that they are a cashless (!!!) business so make sure you come prepared for that. There is a large retail display on the left wall when you walk in and counter seating with stools in the front windows. There are large display cases at the register with pastries and desserts. I have not yet tried the gelato or the bonbons, but I have been in several times to enjoy other desserts. The retail area offers full size specialty chocolate bars, and there are generally some samples available. These are packed really beautifully and are also delicious. Perfect for a little gift, or in a gift basket, or as a special treat for yourself. My favorite items to order from Bonbon bakeshop are their big cake slices. They have several different flavors, but my absolutely favorite is the Coconut Fluff cake. When they're baking this, the entire store (the entire block) smells like sugar and coconut and it's so enticing. This does seem to be a top seller for them and I have seen this one sold out! I think about this cake all the time. My partner loves the PB&J cake slice. I was a little skeptical of this flavor profile not feeling "desserty" enough, but Bonbon has really made something special here with this one, turning a lunch favorite into the sweetest treat. The chocolate hazelnut crunch slice is my backup if Coconut Fluff is out, a classic flavor pairing and a really delicious choice here. Service is always so kind and attentive here, from being invited to the official ribbon cutting on my first visit to recommendations on my most recent visit. We came by and were able to try some yummy samples before we bought a few slices of cake. The Oreo overload and coconut fluff were the 2 we bought, but the sample of the carrot cake were delicious.
