Georgia's Northside has definitely upped Concord NH's food game offering soul food & barbecue with a New England twist. The menu changes often depending on the chef's mood and even this season. Stopped in at Georgia's today. This is a new restaurant in town. I wanted to try their pulled pork. I couldn't wait and picked at some while being driven home. Good pulled pork! Very interesting concept, and good food. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. They really adopted to COVID well and I feel they rolled with it as well as could be expected. I was very excited to try this place because I had heard so many good things. We got 3 of their meat + 3 sides plates and were pretty underwhelmed by both the portions and the flavor. The portions felt pretty small for the price and while the meat was cooked well it lacked smokiness and the flavor of the sauces were not to our liking. The macaroni and cheese was very flavorless as were the fried green tomatoes (all 3 of them, 2 of which were red not green). The cornbread was dry but we did enjoy the beans and the hush puppies. We have ordered from Georgia's Northside numerous times. Customer service is very good-- they have worked especially hard during the pandemic to work smartly, ensuring social distancing. Tried something new from them today-- the chicken banh mi. It was delicious, with just the right amount of mint and jalapeño. It travelled especially well, not soggy at all. The food was good but we were shocked at the portion size for the price. $50 for 2 people with no leftovers because of the portion size for BBQ is way too much money. But there's a couple of comparable places that the portion sizes spill over the plate for a lot less money. It was supposed to be a deal with 2 sides - one plate had 2 sides, the other had 1. One of the sides was supposed be chili. We ordered a BBQ bean size and got 2 beans and no chili. I know it was a busy day but really not impressed. Sorry - we will not go again. read more

I think it may be because of the pandemic right now that you don't get to choose which side(s) you want with your meal. The menu looks that maybe under normal circumstances you get a choice but right now apparently all they are offering is the garden patch pasta salad which I thought was dry and bland. My pulled pork sandwich was amazing however and my husbands brisket was also very good but his meal was $19 and definitely not worth that price. I'm always happy to support local and I love good barbecue but next time I hope I get to choose one of the many other sides they have on the menu that sound way better than pasta salad. read more

I tried their barbecue when they were serving at Lithermans. Very little food or taste for $15. The pulled pork sandwich and cole-slaw were both Meh.... I don't think this is slow smoked barebecue, but rather boiled and reheated with flavoring. I'll go by the new location and hope for better food. In the meantime, I'll stick with Smokeshow in Concord. Its Texas-authentic. read more

Pricey but worth it. Got the ribs with 3 sides. Ribs were fall of the bone good, but what really impressed were the sides. Potato salad was excellent...Cole slaw was good, macaroni and cheese was dried out, hush puppies were good but needed some dipping sauce. Smoked barbecue chicken wings were very good. Today I drove by and had a craving for BBQ. I moved here from North Carolina recently and I love bbq. I was driving and I called, they were really nice and took my order over the phone, since I didn't have WiFi to order online. They made an accommodation and let me substitute a side. I also didn't realize that they were closed and I called before the business opened, but the man on the phone was SO nice and accommodating, he just told me to come on down and get the food. I was very impressed with their customer service. I was even more impressed with their Covid procedures. It was the best way to pick up food. Now let's get to the food. I am a bit of a bbq snob, especially after living in North Carolina. I had the Carolina bbq pork plate. The meat and sauce were exceptional. The heirloom tomato salad, potato salad, and collard greens were absolutely to die for. I will definitely be back! Thank you! read more

I went to Georges on my husbands recommendation. What a great day that was for me. This establishment has fabulous menu that does not disappoint. I had the fried chicken dinner which was like down south fried chicken. Finger licking good. We have now eaten food that we have taken home. Soooo DELICOUS!!! I work at a Hotel in downtown Concord and I will recommend this restaurant knowing that it would never disappoint. I have menus available for our guest. Good selection of beers if that's what your into. The only thing that could make Georges better is if they had seats inside. read more
