Their food is delicious. I love the restaurant and I want to support it but they need to understand if you charge approx $20 for a dish. The serving has to be more than enough. It has to be so much that I feel good paying $20. You cannot charge more and give less. charge more, but also give more. Food cost wont hurt your profit if you make the servings bigger at your current price point. And it will increase return customers which will offset the cost of increasing serving size and increase tickets. It's just a good business decision. Make the serving size a bit bigger. read more

so i went here on a saturday night, wasnt too busy. found the restaurant driving by and saw the name. biryani heaven. count me in. we had a party of four and were told to sit anywhere. the host/server was very helpful, gave good suggestions of things on the menu. we ordered the vijayawada chicken biryani, the gongura chicken biryani, butter chicken masala, and chettinad chicken curry. got some samosas, paratha, and chai and mango lassis as well. vijayawada: nice and spicy, chicken was kind of like coated? interesting. nice zing with the added lemon. very flavorful. would recommend to a friend. butter chicken: extremely dank. chicken was extremely tender. very flavorful as well. sopping up the extra curry with the paratha??? amazing. gongura chicken: interesting flavor profile, very new to me. was flavorful and full of spice and tasty. samosas: very crispy and flavorful. only got the green sauce, would kill for some red sauce with the samosas though. mango lassi: pretty good chai: very very good. nice and spicy and deep. overall, the food was very very very good. would highly recommend. downsides: - there's no proper tableware in the whole restaurant. everything is served in plastic or paper. incredible wasteful and def kills the ambience in my opinion. its not too difficult to wash plates and limit exposure to plastics if possible. - the service takes a long time. we were having a good night and were chatting and socializing so the wait wasnt too bad but if youre in a hurry or prefer snappy service, look elsewhere. overall: the ambience and the lack of tableware really irked me. also had to wait quite the while for the food. but the food was so authentic and tasty that i couldnt even bother to complain after the fact. read more

Mutton dum biryani was excellent. Portions are very generous too. I think I could eat one order three times. They included the bones so every now and then you get a piece with some marrow, so good! I came here for lunch thinking they were going to be open at 11:00AM on a Thursday according to their hours online and their website, but when I got there, the sign on the door said 11:30. So I waited a few minutes before walking in, but when I asked the worker if they were open they said they open at 12?? I ended up just getting food next door. I went here on a whim because I left the smoke shop next door. I ordered samosas ($4.99) and boneless chicken biryani (14.99). The portion was good can feed two people easily. Took about 20 minutes to get my order. The samosas were cooked nicely but both orders were lacking some kind of spice I can't put my finger on it. Just different from all the other Indian places I've tried. The rice itself didn't have any flavor and had to be paired with the chicken. Same the samosas like no flavor inside which is disappointing because the outside was cooked perfectly. The sauce they gave me, was decent but like why so little sauce? It was only enough for one samosa. I came in on a weekday around 6 pm there was nobody there. The woman who took my order couldn't figure out how to use the machine and I had to repeat my order one by one and slowly and then repeat again. Then after asking her child for help on the machine she coughed in my face without covering her mouth or turning away. After that she asked me if I was paying with card or cash and I said card, which I should have been more clear and said Apple Pay because the Apple Pay machine was just sitting right there. I did the Apple Pay not once but twice, the screen said "authorization required" and I'm puzzled because I use my Apple Pay every single day and just used it at the smoke shop next door. So inevitably it is their machine that has a problem. I pulled out my traditional debit card, only a slight inconvenience. Anyways, I'm giving it two stars because the lady and her children were nice, but after eating the food I didn't exactly feel like I was in "Biryani Heaven." read more

Me and my family had eaten the mutton biryani at a party, we had enjoyed it very much so we decided to come here. We were very disappointed. First of all, everyone took too long too get our food. We waited 2 hours for mutton and chicken biryani, but they forgot to bring the chicken out!! After waiting for 10 minutes, they brought chicken biryani, it was extremely bland and there was no flavor, it seemed like the chicken was just thrown together with rice. The first time we ordered methi Malai was good but after we finished it, we were given naan, It got cold and hard. The second time, it was salty. We ordered mutton biryani again because it was good, the server said he'll get it and left. 30 minutes later we find out that the kitchen closed and that they never even wrote the order down.
