Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Corn Muffin, Cheesy Garlic Bread

I decided to give this restaurant a try since I haven't been since I was a kid. I have to say the food was great and so was the service. The Spaghetti was a little on the spicy side so be aware of that before ordering but was still good. The ambience was very warm and welcoming with a nice farmhouse touch.

Busy on a weekday (holiday week) morning and only two waitresses working plus a woman who might have been the manager/owner. I'd expect the food to take a bit when it's like this and it did. Service was slow as well, because these gals were trying hard but not able to keep up with the turnover in tables. As well, the kitchen had issues coordinating breakfasts with toast. In some operations, this is the waitstaff who do toasting so maybe they dropped it. When you're halfway through your omelet before the toast arrives, and you've just seen the table next to you have the same problem, that's an issue. The omelet was great, the home fries were a little too buttered for me, and the toast (once it arrived) was good. Can't beat the price. (And to the mom across from me who insisted on clinking her spoon when stirring her coffee? Learn some damned manners.)

This is a great family owned Greek restaurant. They have been serving great good with excellent service for many years. I've not been here for years but met up with some family and friends and six of us had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They have a great menu with plenty of Greek & Italian selections. They also have specials every day of the week. The grilled pork chops and grilled chicken tenders are great specials and you get two sides, plus bread and soup! Meredith will provide you excellent service with a smile!

Vegetable soup and cornbread... Included in dinner special. Whole meal for $7.99!!

At later dinner on a Friday night... the place was very dirty (floors), but I figured they must have had a heck of an earlier service, so I was encouraged that they have a good following. I ordered fried flounder and french fries, with a side of slaw. The fish was fishy and the batter was so hard, I could't cut it with my fork!!! The fries were fishy, too! EW! Hubby got chicken and dumplings. It was salty and slimy with very little chicken (both in quantity and size of chunks, they weren't chunks, really). Son got a giant burger, and it satisfied him. I tried a bite, it seemed like a GFS frozen patty, to accompany his GFS french fries. Overall impression, this is a re-heat and serve place, which is how they can offer the cheap pricing that they do... not that they buy wholesome fresh base items, that aren't expensive to begin with, and cook those. If this is fresh cooking, then this is an alternate universe, where everything is backwards.

I'm disappointed. There was more Italian food than Greek food. I ordered the Greek gyro, and the tzatsiki was great, the meat was absolutely gross. Drenched in grease and salt-- it resembled more of sausage than kebab meat. They didn't even have spanakopita, which is as traditional as you can get! The feta cheese on the Greek salad was from Walmart-- the crumbled type. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for Greek food. Not at all.

Girls loved it!

Finally made it to this Italian restaurant after being attracted to their cute tables for 2 which…read moreare setup outside. We both had pasta dishes which were delicious - Paccheri En Pesto, and Tagliatelle Ragu with extra meatballs. Our fried calamari appetizer however, was a disappointment. Seems that the oil was too hot cause it was dark brown and not as tender. Plus it had many bits and pieces of fried batter. Sara was our server and took good care of us. But Ashley (a helper), went above and beyond! When she brought me extra bread, I pointed out the mess under an unoccupied table. She told me that she would take care of it and did so immediately. What an outstanding employee! Both Sara and Ashley wore smiles all the time and because of Ashley going above and beyond, I will not remove a star for the calamari. We will be back to sit outside (too cold this time).

On 5/20/26 we went to the this restaurant after my grandson's graduation because he requested…read morepasta...also it had good reviews. Early afternoon, so it wasn't busy...but if we were there on a lunch break we would've DEFINITELY been late going back to work. Well this must've been a bad day...from the host to the last server. The guy took out order, he brought 2 Cesar salads and the lettuce was warp, homemade croutons were horrible. Then we had to keep asking for bread and oil, I see why...tasted horrible. We waited over an hour for our food that was VERY bland. Calamari was horrible, my niece ordered chicken alfredo and they forgot the chicken. The spaghetti/meatballs was not good either. No one from staff tried to accommodate us or make things right.

A Turkish gem in Gastonia that turned a first date into something memorable…read more I'll start with the room. Constantine's pulls off that rare balance -- relaxed but elevated. Warm lighting, Turkish textiles, the kind of space that lets you exhale the second you sit down. We stayed nearly until closing and never once felt rushed. Now the food. I came hungry and curious, and the kitchen delivered. Imam Bayildi (appetizer) -- This is the dish that tells you whether a Turkish kitchen knows what it's doing, and theirs does. Eggplant braised until silky, sweet with onion and tomato, finished in good olive oil. No bitterness, no greasiness -- just that slow-cooked depth where you can taste the patience. I could've made this a main and walked out happy. Karniyarik (my main) -- The heartier cousin of the Imam Bayildi: eggplant stuffed with seasoned ground meat, tomato, and peppers. Rich, savory, comforting. The meat was well-spiced without drowning out the vegetable, and the whole thing held together beautifully. This is honest, soulful cooking. Vegetables in Casserole (her plate) -- Fresh, clean, well-seasoned. You could taste that the vegetables were cooked with intention, not just thrown together. A vegetarian dish that actually respects the vegetables. The bread service -- Two rounds of hot flatbread with their signature dipping sauce, and yes, we asked for the second round. Pillowy, fresh, clearly made in-house. The sauce had real character. This alone tells you they care about the details. Turkish black tea -- The proper way to end a Turkish meal. Strong, aromatic, served the traditional way. A perfect close. Service was attentive without hovering -- they let us have our evening. Health score is spotless, portions are generous, and everything tasted fresh and made-to-order. If you're in Gaston County and want authentic Turkish food done with care -- kebabs, mezes, eggplant dishes that taste like somebody's grandmother is back in that kitchen -- this is the spot. Whether it's a family dinner or a date night, Constantine's brings the flavor and the atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back. -- Sylvester A.
