I went here on a Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of seating available in the bar and dining room. This place doesn't accept reservations, only walk ins. I ordered the Baja pizza to start. This was really good. Spicy sauce, cheese and chicken on top of a toasted flour tortilla. I would definitely order that again. For my meal, I ordered a 3 item combination. A cheese enchilada, a fried chicken taco and chile con carne. This came with rice and beans. The chile con carne was a disappointment because of the amount of salt they used to make it. My fried chicken taco fell apart because the tortilla was too soggy. All the ingredients fell out as the tortilla fell apart as I lifted it off the plate. The chicken seemed dry and flavorless. My cheese enchilada was ok. It had the red sauce, which I prefer. On the positive side, they do offer free chips and salsa and they keep replenishing them as needed. Definitely will not be going back. Ever ! If i could gove 0 stars I would. My son has a food allergy. We let the waiter know. We ordered accordingly. He still got food that contained the cheese he is allergic to. Instead of offering to remake the meal he was offered plain beans and rice. Meanwhile the cheese was under the meat he was supposed to eat. BEWARE They do not take food allergies seriously here. I ordered fajitas. Its a 30 dollar meal. The meat was disgusting. The steak was tough and smelled and tasted like it was deep fried. Repeatedly. It tasted old. The chicken wasn't any better. I didn't even make it to the carnitas before I sent the entire thing back. Food was ok, on par with some other blander Mexican places catering to mostly white senior citizens. The day we came every table around us was what I just described. The restaurant looks great and is very nicely decorated. Seating in our booth was comfortable. Service was very nice but we waited for refills each time we needed them. I've been to Eddie's twice now. I'm a Vegas born native and extremely nostalgic person so when I heard it was owned by the same folks who started Macayo's, I knew I had to try it :-) The TCT's bring back so many memories from my childhood. (Toasted Cheese Tortilla) Let me recommend to you, add ground beef, green chillies, and sour cream, YUM!!! I'll be honest though, that's all I've ordered when I've gone here and that's all I need. My family said they weren't impressed and that everything they ordered was bland and missing oomph. They give free chips and salsa when you first sit down but ours were never replenished even when we asked. I've read other reviews that say they charge for chip and salsa refills... so maybe it's good they never brought more, lol. And when we were leaving my mom asked for a side of salsa to go to eat her leftovers with. The waiter replied that there was an additional charge for any salsa that was to go and if it was okay. Mind you, I had already paid the bill. So my mom said no thanks and asked for a container to take the remnants of the salsa already sitting on the table. They brought a medicine cup sized container and disappeared. We were the last of 2 tables in the room at closing and no employee ever came back after that. We could have ransacked the place. Not a single staff member in sight. My mom needed another medicine cup to put her salsa in and had to knock on the kitchen door to get someone's attention. Overall the dining area is clean. At night it's very dimly lit so I suggest bringing a table lamp with you if you want to see anything, lol, or go in the daylight :-P I'd definitely go back for the TCTs but nothing else. read more

Family-owned Mexican cantina with charming decor. I love Mexican food and could happily eat it every day. When visiting a new spot, I usually order a couple of my go-to items like a crispy taco and enchilada with red sauce to get a sense of how it compares to our regular favorites. At Eddie's, the portions were generous and the plating was appealing, but the flavors fell a bit flat. The chips weren't fresh, though I appreciated the two types of salsas, one chunky, and one smooth. Unfortunately, the chicken lacked seasoning, while the shredded beef had a little more flavor. That said, I did have to spit out a large piece of fat from the beef which is always off-putting. The bottom of my crispy taco was also soggy. We shared some rice and beans that were okay but overall everything needed a little spark. Our server was kind, though we did wait a while for refills. The restaurant is lovely, with comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere. Still, with so many vibrant Mexican spots in town, I'm always chasing bolder flavors. My brother in law lives in Vegas and we wanted some Mexican food off the beaten path and he thought this one would be perfect. He wasn't wrong! I LOVED the green chili sour cream enchiladas they were so good. I'm originally from NM and love when I get some green chilis. My leftovers were eaten at midnight and were just as good as at the restaurant. Hubby got the tacos and he had no complaints and totally cleaned his plate! A coworker states this was one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas. They used to be under another family owned name. Decades to give it a try because who doesn't like Mexican Food ? I had the chimichanga with grilled chicken and black beans. My friend had the taco salad The food came out nice and hot. I'm am solely writing this review to only assist in the customer service experience and recommendation to the management team. Customer service- this location expects the server to take orders, be the runner for food and bar orders. All the while the table is not attended too. This work flow is flawed for the customer and I'm certain is why you carry a 3.5 yelp rating. Current Yelp ratings represents the customers experience. The server ought to be focused on her/his tables and being attentive to the customers. Currently she/he is to be in 3 places at one time. With that being said there were many other staff just standing around. The inefficiencies were evident and ultimately it was the end customer who ends up with a less than par experience and ultimately a loss of a future returning customer. Food was flavorful, drinks very good and up charging for an additional bowl of chips is simply an embarrassment to any Mexican food establishment. As you can read all my reviews I respect locations, provide honest experiences and highlight those staff members who shine. Well.....I decided to give Eddies a try after getting tired of "Juan's" continuously increasing prices. While the food at Eddies may be adequate and basic, I found that it lacked any real flavor or excitement. The dishes I tried were overall mediocre and left me feeling underwhelmed. I had hoped for something more satisfying, especially considering the rising prices in the area. However, on the positive side, the portions were decent and service was friendly. Overall, if you're looking for a simple and affordable meal without expecting too much in terms of taste or quality, then Eddies might just be the place for you. It was girl's happy time and my friend recommended Eddie's. So we all tried it and it was really good. We all ended up ordering the same thing on the happy hour menu. 6 mini tacos and you can mix and match chicken snd beef. I had the chicken only and they were delicious. Our waitress, Gail, was great! She was very attentive and kept us happy and she made good drinks too . I will go back again for sure and bring the hubby, because the bar where we sat, had the sports channels on too. Our friends love this place. They love their specific waite staff and have their go to drinks. Their favorite waiter was in a different section and the service was sub par. Sadly they were out of her grapefruit vodka and boy did she need it that night. My nephew got a burger and said it was ok, it is odd to have a hamburger on the menu of a Mexican restaurant but he was happy. The waitress whom I did not catch her name ignored my friends request for no chocolate sauce on his ice cream but was nice enough to remake it. The drinks were only filled once and it took over 45 minutes between ordering and getting our entrees. The appetizers were chips and cheese and a spinach dip which was not cheese based. The resteraunt is clean and spacious. The fireplace in the middle is lovely. Family was craving Mexican but we wanted to try something new so we found Eddie's Mexican through the Yelp app. It was Friday evening when we came and it was busy ! We had a party of 5 and they were able to seat us in a booth in 15 minutes! Impressive! The bring chips and salsa out for the table and have a massive menu to choose from so there is something for everyone! I was craving a chimichanga and this was phenomenal and gigantic ! They also had a kids menu so automatic bonus points for me with my independent toddler who now wants her own plate of food ! Truly some of the best Mexican food ever! We have been at least 10 times in the last month. Staff is super friendly and jokes with us about how often they see us. Hugo is super funny and a great server! We get stoked when we see him coming our way. I've said this in my previous review, if you grew up going to Macayo Vegas and have badass memories like me, this place will take you right back to the "good 'ol days" of smooth/chunky sauce and the almighty TCT! We've tried a bunch of items on the menu but I seem to always go back to my favs, tacos and or enchiladas. My husband has tried the Shrimp Veracruz and the chili con carne but prefers the Pollo Verde. It's really good! I'm so happy to have found Eddie's! My wife decided that 20 minutes (in total) was long enough to wait for a menu and/or a drink so we also left. Eddie's is far below expectations. The food was expired and gross. We got some queso dip that was extremely sour and salty like it was sitting for days . I also got some enchiladas that almost made me throw up. I was highly disappointed and the quality of the food because inside the restaurant it looks very decent. Unfortunately, we got our food to go and when we call back the restaurant to make a complaint, they offered us to replace the food instead of giving us some money back. Worst restaurant in Summerlin. I was there over the weekend and it was bad. It wasn't as busy as they tried to make it sound. We sat at the bar. Waited about 40 min to get appitizers. There were 2 couples sitting at the bar and another 2 couples sitting in the bar area. The bar was empty. I looked under the sink in the bar and it was so gross what I saw. They haven't cleaned or mopped under the sink in a very long time. The grime and remnants of food under it, it's a "No FKS Given" attitude. That's why it's so dark in the bar area. They don't want you to see how dirty it really is. We placed our order and waited over a 1 1/2hrs to get our food. We asked to talk to the manager bc waiting that long is not right. A short heavyset woman came over and had a pissed off look when she walked over. We told her how long we have been there and how my steak was over cooked where it could not be eatn, she made no attempt to make my food right or did she appoligize for that or for the long wait. Instead she made excuses why it took so long and blamed it in having 2 big dinner parties. Her lack luster management skills and the way she handled the bad experience was enough for me to post my horrible experience. She would no let me get a word in and she told me bc you waited so long I'm knocking 15% of each dinner and walked away, no attempt to make my dinner right or remove it from my ticket. She gives Vegas a bad name bc a real manager would 've tried to make my dinner correct or removed it off my bill. At that point I just want out of there after being there 3hrs and I only took 2 small bites off my over cooked steak and 1 small bite of my beef enchilada and it had no flavor, the meat didn't taste right. My mother, husband, and I came here for lunch on a Saturday morning when the restaurant opens. It is located in the LVAC parking lot off of Flamingo and 215. I remember Macayo's as a child growing up in Vegas so I was very curious to see if the restaurant had improved. The server was very polite, but it seemed like he was the only server in the entire restaurant which was filling up. The busser delivered chips with two very similar tasting bland salsas. The chips definitely needed salt as well. My mother ordered a chicken chimichanga and my husband and I ordered carne asada street tacos that came with choice of rice or beans. Unfortunately, all the food lacked flavor. I remember the original Macayos restaurant had very bland food too so to our disappointment it seems nothing has changed. The ambiance was mediocre at best. But most important to my family is the flavor of the food. We love this place, one of the best places for Mexican food in our area. The burrito combo with the ground beef is my favorite & my husband loves their street tacos. Excellent food, service & the price is right. $15.99 for my combo plate ( includes rice & beans) , same for the 3 street tacos, but comes with rice. Great atmosphere, nice relaxing place.
