    Complimentary chips and salsas

Food was ok, on par with some other blander Mexican places catering to mostly white senior citizens. The day we came every table around us was what I just described. The restaurant looks great and is very nicely decorated. Seating in our booth was comfortable. Service was very nice but we waited for refills each time we needed them. The combos are very large and you can pay extra for rice and beans which we didn't finish and I do think the food can use some tweaking. Not bad but not my favorite.

    Comfortable booth seating.

Family-owned Mexican cantina with charming decor. I love Mexican food and could happily eat it every day. When visiting a new spot, I usually order a couple of my go-to items like a crispy taco and enchilada with red sauce to get a sense of how it compares to our regular favorites. At Eddie's, the portions were generous and the plating was appealing, but the flavors fell a bit flat. The chips weren't fresh, though I appreciated the two types of salsas, one chunky, and one smooth. Unfortunately, the chicken lacked seasoning, while the shredded beef had a little more flavor. That said, I did have to spit out a large piece of fat from the beef which is always off-putting. The bottom of my crispy taco was also soggy. We shared some rice and beans that were okay but overall everything needed a little spark. Our server was kind, though we did wait a while for refills. The restaurant is lovely, with comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere. Still, with so many vibrant Mexican spots in town, I'm always chasing bolder flavors. Eddie's didn't win us over but I'll keep exploring because you never know what you'll discover. PS: Plenty of free parking right out front in a large lot.

Guacamole was a good size but very pricey and covered in tomatoes so folks with allergies would be disappointed

Ordered through doordash. Unfortunately the food was tasteless and not as pictured on the menu. I can't recommend this place. I will add some photos to show how small the chimichanga was. Thee order didn't come with even a single salsa. I've never in my life gotten Mexican food that didn't come with at least a couple little salsa.

My brother in law lives in Vegas and we wanted some Mexican food off the beaten path and he thought this one would be perfect. He wasn't wrong! I LOVED the green chili sour cream enchiladas they were so good. I'm originally from NM and love when I get some green chilis. My leftovers were eaten at midnight and were just as good as at the restaurant. Hubby got the tacos and he had no complaints and totally cleaned his plate! Service was kinda slow but good and it was a typical Mexican style restaurant. Chips and salsa were spicy!

When it comes to my comfort food, I go to Eddie's aka Macayo Vegas. The service is always great. Service with smile. Very relaxing atmosphere. Great frozen margaritas.

A coworker states this was one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas. They used to be under another family owned name. Decades to give it a try because who doesn't like Mexican Food ? I had the chimichanga with grilled chicken and black beans. My friend had the taco salad The food came out nice and hot. The black beans were good I didn't enjoy the chimichanga as the chicken breast inside was tough and the chimichanga was not crispy at all it was doughy I would give it a second chance and try another dish not made with chicken I also had a Sunset Margarita which had no flavor.

I'm am solely writing this review to only assist in the customer service experience and recommendation to the management team. Customer service- this location expects the server to take orders, be the runner for food and bar orders. All the while the table is not attended too. This work flow is flawed for the customer and I'm certain is why you carry a 3.5 yelp rating. Current Yelp ratings represents the customers experience. The server ought to be focused on her/his tables and being attentive to the customers. Currently she/he is to be in 3 places at one time. With that being said there were many other staff just standing around. The inefficiencies were evident and ultimately it was the end customer who ends up with a less than par experience and ultimately a loss of a future returning customer. Food was flavorful, drinks very good and up charging for an additional bowl of chips is simply an embarrassment to any Mexican food establishment. As you can read all my reviews I respect locations, provide honest experiences and highlight those staff members who shine. This yelp is not for the consumer rather the management to improve on their internal structure, value each employee role not plural roles. Then watch the yelp review ratings will improve.

This is my GO TO spot when i go to Costco's for Gas! The food is always good. I always come for chips & queso with chorizo with a large margarita & a shot of Grand Marnier! Boom! The service is always great and i prefer to sit at the bar! The ambiance is nice and chill at the bar with the tvs showing sports. My type of Saturday!

Another great dinner at Eddie's! We came to celebrate the husband's birthday. We were seated right away. Service was great, was a tad busy but service still came quickly. The food is amazing as always and for birthdays you receive a complimentary ice cream and a singing celebration. The tostada is and will always be my favorite menu item!

Well.....I decided to give Eddies a try after getting tired of "Juan's" continuously increasing prices. While the food at Eddies may be adequate and basic, I found that it lacked any real flavor or excitement. The dishes I tried were overall mediocre and left me feeling underwhelmed. I had hoped for something more satisfying, especially considering the rising prices in the area. However, on the positive side, the portions were decent and service was friendly. Overall, if you're looking for a simple and affordable meal without expecting too much in terms of taste or quality, then Eddies might just be the place for you. Just don't expect your taste buds to be blown away by anything extraordinary here. I'm not sure of any one thing that would make me deliberately return here

Our friends love this place. They love their specific waite staff and have their go to drinks. Their favorite waiter was in a different section and the service was sub par. Sadly they were out of her grapefruit vodka and boy did she need it that night. My nephew got a burger and said it was ok, it is odd to have a hamburger on the menu of a Mexican restaurant but he was happy. The waitress whom I did not catch her name ignored my friends request for no chocolate sauce on his ice cream but was nice enough to remake it. The drinks were only filled once and it took over 45 minutes between ordering and getting our entrees. The appetizers were chips and cheese and a spinach dip which was not cheese based. The resteraunt is clean and spacious. The fireplace in the middle is lovely. I wish the menu was more specific with what is or is not gluten free but I did my best with what details were on the menu.

Ask the Community - Eddie's Mexican Restaurant

    What's the happy hour menu?

Half price appetizers and drink specials

Is this the exact restaurant formerly known as Macayo's?

Well, this exact location used to be a Famous Dave's a few years ago. However, when Macayo's closed their restaurants, the former owners opened Eddies & the menu & recipes are the same as Macayo's was. We just love this place.

    Do the beans contain lard?

No we do not use lard in our beans.

    Are there gluten free options?

I checked the online menu and nothing was mentioned about gluten free items. You will need to call and ask.

    Coupons anywhere for Eddies?

No coupons that I know of yet. Macayo's never had them to my knowledge.

Is the dinner menu available all day?

Yes it is. They do have a luncheon menu, but you can use the dinner menu.

Are you open yet? We're hear until Saturday, would love to try!

    They opened today.

    When are they opening?

    We hope next week.

I ordered the dinner special, which included a shredded beef taco and a comforting bowl of albóndigas soup. I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!

However, it was $20, and I still felt like I needed another burrito afterward. The carne asada nachos looked were made with a mix of ground beef and carne asada instead of just carne asada. The most disappointing item was the $15 bean and cheese burrito. I included a photo in this review because it was mostly tortilla, and the cheese wasn't even melted. As for the churros, we originally ordered regular churros, but they told us they didn't have plain churros available on a Friday night, so we were pushed into getting the strawberry ones instead. Despite being strawberry flavored, they were drenched in cinnamon and sugar. They were awful.
