They damaged my truck tailgate during a hood repair. When I pointed it out, the girl Carma said she would review the tapes to see if they caused the damage. 6 months later, no answer. I guess just waiting the customer out is the name of the game. They don't take responsibility for their actions and they are not timely in their responses. Go to a different location where they will take responsibility for their actions. Update: Gerber made things right with my truck. I dropped off my tailgate and they corrected the issue in a timely manner. No more issues with my tailgate. read more

If you care about your vehicle's appearance, DO NOT take it to Gerber Collision & Glass. I gifted my son a vehicle that was in really good condition. After the vehicle was involved in an accident, the insurance sent us to Gerber Collision & Glass. We saw the reviews were poor but were not given a choice. They had the vehicle for months. Upon picking up the vehicle for my son, I was absolutely appalled at the horrific work (if you can call it that) that was done. The paint does not match. Instead of stripping down the paint on the entire door, they patched a few areas. There are chips on the front bumper that were not previously there. When I raised this concern, I was accused of lying and painting the chips myself. The transmission slipped on my way home and I brought the vehicle back. They said the insurance denied the additional fixes. When escalating to our insurance, and showing pictures of the vehicle just prior to the accident, the insurance was appalled as well and is escalating so they will no longer send this place their business. The insurance told us to pick up the vehicle and is allowing us to take the vehicle to another place to fix the work that was done. When we picked up the vehicle for the second time, we found trash in the back of the vehicle. This place takes absolutely zero pride in their work and should be ashamed. read more

I felt like it was necessary to up these guys' review. Initially I was hesitant to go here because the low star rating on yelp, but they were the only Tesla shop near me. Let me just say, I was planning on selling my car after the repair because I thought it wouldn't be the same, but they did such an amazing job that I decided to keep it. To give some back story I got hit twice on separate occasions from different people so my insurance situation was turning into a complete nightmare. Anyway Carma and her team took over and basically made the whole process quick and smooth and didn't need to involve me basically for anything I didn't need to be involved in. Corey left me stranded!!! I used Gerber Collision because it was recommended by my insurance company. Booking the appointment to drop off the truck was easy and uneventful. I was notified that the truck was ready today and to come pick it up. I was shocked at the status of my car that was "ready." I did a walk around with Corey (the Shop Foreman). The explanation I received about deep scratches on "new" parts, left behind masking tape, unpainted parts, missing bolts and screws, and NEW damage to the car that wasn't there when I dropped it off was "these are OEM parts and it came this way... yeah, it will puff out... this is normal and we cannot do anything about it..." I was literally cut off every time I tried to say anything, I kept asking if I could speak now...and you guessed it...I was cut off mid-sentence. I ended by saying "fine, just have your explanations to my concerns put in writing and I will take the truck and deal with my insurance company." The answer I received was "I can't do that, I have to talk to a manager." We walked back into the office and Corey slammed the paperwork on the front desk and said "I don't know what to do!" and walked away. The nice young lady, at the front desk and I looked at each other puzzled and I told her "I guess I have to call my insurance company". I ended up leaving my truck there and had already returned my rental car. They are not able to get me one again right away... so Uber to work it is. THANKS Gerber Collision for the amazing customer service.... Please note: This issue is still pending; I might update this review later if/when the issues are resolved. Note: two day after leaving this one star review and contacting my insurance company, I was able to get on the phone with the manager. He never personally wronged me nor does he owe me an apology. Went in for a estimate for an insurance/warranty claim on some unlisted damage on my Carvana purchase. Carma was very thorough in her explanation of what needed to be done and how it would be done after looking over my vehicle. Only waited 10-15 min in my vehicle in a comfortable garage bay after checking in for service. In and out within 30 min for my estimate. Sara was efficient and friendly in both my initial call for an appointment (which was about 4 weeks from my first call) and my reminder call the day before. read more

I had a bumper panel replaced on my Tesla Model 3 at this location. When I picked the car up, nobody was available to do a walk around of the vehicle with me. I inspected the bumper myself and everything looked fine. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed the many scratches on an adjacent panel. I was so focused on the bumper that it escaped my notice when I was still at the shop. Turns out there is a clip there, and I guess the tech had to struggle to remove it. To their credit, the shop repainted the panel free of charge with no fuss. So they did make it right. But on the other hand, if you're a repair tech, how do you not notice that you've scratched a body panel all to heck? It makes me nervous about the overall quality of the work you can expect here. read more

Man, I just don't get the negative reviews here! I was in an accident where my entire driver side door was crushed. I made several trips to the shop and I always found the people working the front desk to be very friendly and professional. Although it took a long time to get my car in and repaired, I got it back and before other shops in the area would even look at it for an estimate...sounds like all the shops in Denver were pretty backed up. I got several text messages a week updating me on the status of my repair. There was a minor delay of a couple days as it took a while to get the door in (why I only gave 4 stars). The car looks as good as new. It was cleaned inside and out. Much cleaner than when I gave it to them. I would recommend Gerber to friends and family. read more

Absolutely a horrible experience. I was rear ended by a Liberty Mutual insured driver. Liberty Mutual sent me to this place as one of their "preferred" repair shops. I arrived a few minutes early and pulled my car in the garage and was told the estimator would be out. About 6 minutes after my scheduled appointment time the estimator comes out with only a camera in his hands. Tells me his name and takes a few pictures and 3 minutes later says I'm done. Really I said? Do I get an estimate? I will up load it to the insurance company in 3 or 4 days. And we can get you scheduled in a week or two. Really?...I said what is your guess, oh around $400 to repaint the bumper. I told him based on my experience here already I was not likely to have the work done at Gerber. So fast forward one week later I have not received any estimate, so I call Liberty Mutual and explain. Liberty Mutual said they would call and get the estimate and email it to me. Now 3 days later still no estimate, so I call liberty Mutual again and explain, I get put on hold while they investigate. The rep said she called Gerber who said the estimator was gone and a manager was going to write up the estimate, but the manager was not in at the time. Not sure how someone who never saw my car was going to write up an estimate. Nice that Gerber Collision did not feel the need to take action on this. One look at the poor reviews here on Yelp and on Google tells you everything you need to know. read more

Please do not give the impression here that Kirk took care of things as this is grossly incorrect. Another office with Glass America is who responded to our attorney and got the reimbursement check cut and sent to us. Kirk NEVER followed through with his agreement and certainly did not acknowledge any of my communications requesting him to follow through. Glass America and Gerber Collision are lucky that I did not pursue damages to my fender as this would have been much higher in cost. Gerber may want to re-evaluate whether to do business with Glass America if this is how they will treat Gerber's clients and especially since Gerber's name is being drug through the mud here. Glass America does not seem to be building a very good reputation for Gerber. read more

It also took them 4 days to do something that took me an hour and a few phone calls to accomplish for them. I was sent to Gerber by the insurance company of the person who hit me after my 3 month old car got T-boned. They originally said that it would take a week to fix and it took 3 weeks. Then, once I finally got my car back, the inside was CAKED in dust and dirt as if they never bothered to clean it out after having it in the shop for 3 weeks. They told me that probably happened if I rolled the window down and didn't take responsibility for not cleaning it. Later that day, I realized that nothing on my driver side door worked - window, lock, etc. They didn't bother to reconnect that electrical. They were annoyed when I called back and told them this wasn't fixed - again not taking ownership. So I brought it back and they kept it for another day. I got my car back and noticed that the new paint job had bubbles all over it. They told me that paint jobs always have imperfections and that they couldn't do any better - my car was 3 months old and the paint look phenomenal before I was hit. Yet again - not taking ownership of their poor quality of work. A month later, I noticed that my bumper was sticking out - the clips holding it on popped out somehow. I brought it back to Gerber and they told me that I must have hit something because their work would have "ensured that wouldn't happen", yet there were no scratches, dents, or anything else suggesting it was hit again. The worker told me to be more careful because only my error in hitting something would have caused the bumper to come off. It was a brand new car and a take amazing care of my vehicles, have garage parking, and would know if i hit something or was hit. 3 months after all this, I was rear ended and again the insurance company of the woman who hit me sent me to Gerber. When I called they told me that I should probably go somewhere else because I was too high maintenance last time. If they had done their work correctly in the first place then I wouldn't have been high maintenance. I just wanted my car back to how it was before I got hit and they chastised me for that. HORRIBLE customer service, AWFUL quality, and I will NEVER use them again. I will go out of my way to make sure people do not have to go through what I went through with them. read more

Avoid at all costs. I had my car towed in after a collision only because they were the closest shop on my insurance's preferred vendor list. I have no clue how they could be on USAA's preferred vendors, and I have lodged a formal complaint about them through USAA, but don't let your insurance convince you this is your best option. I waited NINETEEN days before they even LOOKED at my car to tell me that it was totaled. In the meantime, I suffered horrible customer service. Their front desk staff is incompetent and friendly, at best, or downright unhelpful and dismissive at worst. I would call, insisting that someone speak to me about my car, and end up being forwarded around to voicemail after voicemail (none of which were ever returned). I finally got someone to talk to me only after calling their corporate offices and making a complaint. They make excuses, they make promises they won't keep, and they have no idea how to maintain customer loyalty. I would never allow Gerber to complete repairs on my vehicle. I imagine if their mechanics are even half as terrible at their job as everyone else I dealt with, including the estimator and general manager, then any repairs couldn't be trusted. read more

I took my car here after getting rearended and not having a choice to go elsewhere. (If I had had a choice, I would have taken it to Precision on Havana.) After picking up my car, I realized that they had not repaired my tailpipe. I had to take it in a second time and wait in the shop while they finished the repairs. Time is valuable. I had previous experience with this location and the whole experience was great. Not this time. The person assigned to my repair Jason has the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. Initially I left many messages with no response until I finally went over his head to find out what the deal was with my vehicle. Once we started I was told that my vehicle would be done on the 16th and when I went to check on it there is in my opinion another week of repairs left which would put me over the estimate by 6 days and I had to find out no one told me. Unacceptable I am updating this review because of the response from management regarding my concerns Many companies can tell you they have great service but the real way to show it is when things aren't as good as they could be. Reading the other reviews, this shop must have done some serious soul searching before I visited. I was referred here by my insurance company. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I scheduled an appointment. My partner and I both have very screwy work schedules so everything had to be done after shop hours. Dropped the car off and heard from them the next day with an update. Long story short, it took about three days to complete the work due to unexpected delays in getting parts (my car is 18 years old). I was kept updated daily, which I'm not used to with other shops. I was still thrilled, after my partner had worked with another body shop and they kept her car for nearly a month for one unexplained delay after another. We went to pick up the car last night (again after hours). The new bumper and headlights looked terrific. But when I tried starting the car, she was deader than dead. I noticed someone had left the headlights switched on, which was the likely culprit. We tried jumping it but it was beyond that point. We ran to the nearest auto parts store for a new battery, but we didn't have the correct tools to install it. We were both tired after working all day, quickly losing sunlight and stores were closing. I was really unhappy. I left it another night and called them first thing next day. They were incredibly apologetic. They installed the new battery right away, free of charge, and delivered the car to my door to make up for my inconvenience, which was the level of customer service I hoped for but didn't actually expect to get. My experience is the exact opposite of the other reviewers. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I wish everyone was this committed to customer satisfaction. read more

Gerber Collision repaired my vehicle after an accident. The process was simple, I was kept informed, and the repairs were done perfectly and timely. They even went above and beyond when I asked them to provide a service that another Gerber Collision had provided for me in the past. There was even a chance that my rental car coverage on my car insurance policy was not going to be enough to cover the time my car was in the shop, but Gerber Collision offered to cover the extra rental expenses if that happened. read more

My experience with this mechanic is similar to other negative reviews already posted. My husband and I just got our vehicle back and it was covered in dust and dirt, and absolutely filthy. My husband accidentally left his brand new Oakley sunglasses in the car, and they were not in vehicle when we got it back. He also has a back support that he uses when driving which was ripped apart and now completely unusable. The vehicle now drives poorly. We are having to take it to another shop to correct the poor work done by this shop. Steer clear! read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I second the opinion someone else gave about horrible desk service. I would extend that to say the estimator man wasn't exactly friendly either. I work in the insurance industry, and if one of my customers told me about an experience like I had at this place, I would forward that up the management chain quickly, because my company takes partnered insurance repairs shop complaints seriously. First, when I dropped my car off at the shop for repairs, the estimator said I couldn't leave the vehicle there for the repairs. I had just had a discussion with my insurance company about how the vehicle wasn't safe to drive and I didn't want a ticket. I won't go into details, but the police told me he could give me a ticket for having my mirror broken, something about "impairing my vision". The estimator just laughed and said "that's the first time I've heard that, and I've been doing this a long time". And went on to say, "Cars used to only come with one mirror!". So I had to fight them a little bit to get me to leave my car there and pick up my rental car. When the repairs were done, they called me TEN (10) minutes before they closed on Friday and told me my car was ready to be picked up and that if I didn't come get it that night, I'd be stuck with paying the rental bill all weekend. I told them that I was at work until 6:30 and could do nothing about it, and also said I didn't think I was given an ample chance to go get my car, even if I WASN'T at work. I fought them on this, and then one lady apologized and said that wasn't enough time to expect someone to get to the shop, so I could come by the next morning. The next morning, a Saturday, I had a meeting I attend from 10-11:30am every Sat but told the shop I would be coming right after that. They called me three (3) times, asking where I was, leaving nasty voicemails each time. One time they called when I was in the meeting, so I couldn't answer. They called me soon after my meeting, when I was on my way to their shop. I told them I was on my way, they asked how long I thought I was away and where exactly I was. I said I wasn't sure, maybe 10 minutes. Then the lady got REAL rude and cut me off saying, "Listen, I can't even wait 10 minutes. If you're not here in the next 5 minutes I am locking the door and you will have to pay for your rental car all weekend on your own and pick up your car on Monday!" She also went on to say, "There were a lot of people mad that you left your car here just because of the broken mirror" - referencing my first issue with the insurance company's assertion to me that they would cover the rental and I'd be fine to leave it at the shop. ONE OF THEIR APPROVED PREFERRED NETWORK SHOPS TOO! Of course, no one at my insurance company is there on the weekends, so all I could do was leave a message and wait for Monday. In the meantime, I'll just stress out worrying that I will have to be paying $100+ for 3-4 days of rental as my car sits in the shop all because of this mess and a poor excuse for customer service. I see why people gave this place 1 star. I previously a different shop for repairs and they were great, just not on my insurance company's "approved" list. I figured if they were on someone's list, they had to be good. I was very wrong. I'll be certain NOT to ever go back to Gerber Collision, and I'll be making sure my insurance company knows about it as well. DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE! RUDE AND UNHELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE; POOR COMMUNICATION I'm not one to normally write negative reviews, but I'm making the exception on this one. First off, I've elected to attempt to use Gerber three times, believing the previous experience was an anomaly and gave them the benefit of the doubt due to their location. The first time I had my vehicle repaired due to hail damage and, other than it taking a long time due to the volume of vehicles damaged in the storm, they did a nice job on the repairs. What struck me at the time was how incredibly rude the lady who sits the front desk is (I believe her name may have been Louise). My second attempt to use them, I called to make an appointment and was placed through to their call service. When I arrived to my appointment, I was told that I was not in the system. I reassured the lady at the front that I had called and made an appointment, and her response was simply that they've been having problems with their call service populating their system and offered absolutely no option other than to leave and make another appointment. When I expressed my frustration of having taken off work to come down and if she could have someone simply come out to take a snapshot of my bumper to save me from coming back, she became visibly agitated and rude as if somehow this inconvenienced her and her response again was that I did not have an appointment. I finally asked her to get me the manager on duty and at this, she signed and walked back to get someone to come out to look at my car. On my most recent trip I made an appointment for a Saturday to bring my motorcycle in to see about getting my Fender repainted. When I was in for my car I asked the estimator and was told they normally do not repair motorcycles, but since the fender could be removed, it shouldn't be a big deal. When I made my appointment, they asked for the make and model and when I arrived at the shop, I was told we don't handle motorcycles and that they didn't even have paint estimators in the shop on Saturdays. Not sure why the Call center would not have informed me when I called to make the appointment. I honestly could have overlooks almost everything were it not for the extremely rude customer service. I can tell you that I'm not someone who is hyper sensitive or expect someone to be overly bubbly. Given the 5 minutes it took to have my vehicle surveyed, it would seem she would accept that I was the result of a miscommunication between the Call Center and simply offer to have someone take a look or at least demonstrate that she was attempting to do so before she rudely told me to go through the same process all over again. read more

So - I'm really surprised by all of the low ratings. Gerber has never been anything but professional with me. This is the 3rd time I have had them work on my car & it always looks better than when I bring it in. Everyone was really nice - from the time I got the estimate done to the time I picked up my car. They made sure I knew what they were going to do and the approximate cost to repair. So I won't hesitate to bring my car back - if I need to - for any work that needs to be done in the future. Wow. I was too busy with my life that I forgot to find reviews from the Internet about the service. I thought the name and the size of the company would guarantee its' work and service. Now, I got my car back after being so frustrated to talk to the account manager/estimator. Communication was already bad. After I got my car, I wasn't happy. I found many issues with my car. I was upset how dirty my auto interior was. Very dusty. Saw dust particles everywhere like on the air vents, corners and upholstery with white-dust footprints. The first guy I met said," I did clean it". The second guy I met said, "It looks clean to me." Excuse me. I cleaned my car. I prepared my car before I left it with you. This to me isn't a quality clean-up after your work. He answered me that they don't do detailing. They do collision. Wait! I'm trying to address "clean-up after your work." Keep it the same if not better. Then, I have to take my car in again for corrections on the paint work and a little hair piece on the roof under the clear coat. Where was the Cleaning and Quality Control after the work was complete? That was part of your process you advertise on the brochure or leaflet. I can list all the issues I have concerning the service and quality received... We including my 6 years old girl can smell the paint through the air vent or when A/C is on. You would think they were meticulous about their workmanship and craftsmanship. And, the complaints go on and on. read more

Took my Nissan Juke there for a repair to fix some dents and scratches on the roof. The first time they said it was done there was a dent that wasn't fixed and every body panel they painted had spots where it looked like it was painted with dust on it. They offered to fix it and the second time I went to pick it up most of the spots were gone but there were still several clearly visible and they hadn't fixed the dent. They worked on it a third time and did finally fix the dent but the paint still doesn't look factory new like they had stated it would look. read more

Unhappy. After being referred by a friend to use Gerber Collision, I made an appointment to get an estimate on repair to my rear bumper after being hit. I made the appointment a week in advance, but after arriving, my car wasn't given a look-over because neither my insurance company or the person who hit me's insurance work with this shop. "Ok", I said, "can we do an estimate leaving insurance out of it?". They would not give me an estimate. Period. My insurance company has confirmed I can get an out of network estimate from any shop, but I will not be pressing the issue with Gerber. I understand if policies are policies, but it could have been handled with much more support and concern. The ladies in front were short, rude, and were very happy to let me walk out the door. This could have been resolved when I called a week ago and gave all this information. This shop wasted an hour of my time. I guess they have enough business. Worst place to get my car repaired. My dad brought my car in for an appraisal with our insurance guy then set up a repair date for me as well. I go in on my repair date and they tell me I wasn't on the schedule and I shouldn't have gotten a schedule that quickly since they were so busy and booked from the hail storm. I even told the front desk I called a few days ago confirming my repair date and they said I was scheduled for that day. Once the car was fixed they called me to go pick it up and when I got there I had to wait another hour because they weren't done. When I checked my car, I saw a two pieces by my front windows were cracked and I asked them about it and they told me they must have missed it but will replace it once the part comes in and told me to take the car home. They assured me that they would call me in 3 days once the piece comes in but they never did and I had to call them back. When I called them back they weren't sure what part I was talking about and transferred me to the guy that took care of my case but he never picks up the phone or return my calls. I would not recommend this place for anyone. No respect for customers. read more

If i could give this place negative stars I would. I called to see when I could get in for an estimate and was told they are booking for the following business day. I was around the area that day so I went in to get scheduled. I went in and my first impression was kind of weird because the front desk lady (I think her name was Melissa or Michelle or something) reeked of alcohol. I over looked it and told her I would like an out of pocket estimate. She was extremely snooty and rude said the next availability wasn't until June. I said ok and told her I'd call around to see if someone could get me in sooner. I sat down in the lobby and was looking for other body shops in the area. She mumbled "bitch" under her breath and continued to stare into space as she was when i got there. Another man came in and she scheduled him for two days out!! As i was making my calls she just sat there and let the phone ring off the hook... are customers not a priority here?!
