We took our 2021 Yukon AT4 into Gerber to handle an insurance claim and address a few random dents in the car. We could not be more pleased with their customer service and workmanship. Nightmare! Absolutely a nightmare, since almost day 1 with Gerber Collision. My vehicle was towed to a Jacksonville location but requested to be moved to St Augustine due to light loading. I communicated with a Jess or JB in regards to my repairs and informed her that I needed the replacement of paint protection film included in the estimate for insurance purposes. She assured me that they would include this. It took over a week from tow delivery until an estimate was completed and submitted to my insurance company. After nearly 3 weeks the work began and was reported by JB to be on track. The total repair time Provided was approximately 6 weeks. Days before pickup, even being confirmed by Jess as being on track, I was informed a part was still needed and backordered with no ETA. I called and received more information after escalating to the managers level. Brendan, the location manager, informed me that a "shutter assembly" was backordered and unavailable. He assured me they tried various means to acquire the part but that it would likely be weeks or possibly months due to parts shortage. After explaining the situation he looked into the updates provided by JB and apologized recognizing the failure in communication. He stated he would be writing her up and handling my repairs going forward. I asked for details and part numbers and contact online and the local BMW dealership which had the part available within 24 hrs. I informed Brendan this and he assured me he would recheck but stated they still were unable to order it. I had to order the part myself and drive an hour to deliver it direct to the shop to continue repairs. After further issue and explaining the situation, Brendan elevated the issue and recognized the failure of their team, by providing contact with the regional manager, Anthony D. Anthony assured me things would be corrected and the paint film and cost of the part would be reimbursed. Even after receipt the repair shop stated they were missing more and more parts and needed more time. Ultimately the vehicle was towed to BMW for calibration and then back for QA. I received the vehicle back after nearly 3 months. The QA missed numerous issues including missing emblems, and paint drips. I picked up the vehicle and informed them of the issues and they said they would mail me the emblem to apply myself. Further, I questioned about the reimbursement checks I was owed for the paint protection film and paid for. My insurance company had already paid Gerber but I had yet to receive the funds. It took over a month and numerous calls back to the regional manager and corporate to finally get paid. They stated they hadn't submitted everything needed by corporate. Gerber Collision is a complete nightmare and chaos. The team at this location and in general lack costumer support, knowledge, and the ability to resolve small issues such as parts acquisition. A customer should not be expected to provide their own parts when readily available. Gerber Collision and its management teams at the shop and regional level continued to lie and fail to meet the expectations of even mediocre customer care. The manager in fact blamed it on JB and "not being able to find good help." Avoid Gerber Collision!!! read more

Traaaaaash. These clowns lied right to my face several times. Tried blaming everyone else on why there was a delay on estimating my repairs. Turns out just plain lies on Gerber's end. Then the store manager had the nerve to call and try to make bs excuses rather than except she got caught lying red handed. Also the palatka branch has now done the exact same thing. At this point the investigation by USAA is ongoing but I'm not sure usaa isn't involved in the scam as well! read more

The repair on my 2018 Silverado with Iridescent Pearl tri-coat was painted exactly to match the factory paint. I used to mix car paint at NAPA when I was in high school. Gerber did an EXCELLENT job of matching the paint and their painting skill was practically factory like. Price was on par with others shops. Truck came back cleaner then when dropped. Save yourself a lot of headache and do NOT take your car to this facility! My insurance company recommended them and it has been hell trying to get my car back ever since! They received my car in September. I was told my car would be finished on October 21, and now we're in December and they still have no idea when my car is going to be finished. In the meantime, they leave it parked outside, which is something I never do as I always have a parked in the garage. They even left it sitting outside during a hurricane. read more

Fast and Friendly. We were in a Rear end accident and had to have our family car's bumper replaced. Everything from the initial estimate appointment to pickup was very efficient. Great communication. I've taken two cars here. They love to draw you in with the initial estimate which is a low ball.... then they hit you with all of the "hidden" damage and increase the cost by 75% or more. When I've spoken with other body shops about this, they roll their eyes and give you that "I've heard it all before" look. If you don't go with them after they revise the estimate up, they charge you $250 or more for the time it took them to give you that final estimate. I will never, ever take a vehicle there again. I picked up my car last night from repairs completed by Gerber. I worked with Jessie (estimator) and Anthony (manager). This is a very professional team and they were incredibly nice to my husband and I. They kept us posted daily on the status of my BMW bumper and side repairs. I was notified it was ready last night and was amazed at how quickly the work was done. When I saw the final product, I couldn't tell where the damage previously was. It looked brand new. The gentleman that worked on it took great care and I am grateful for his talents. Our family vehicle was rear ended while driving home from vacation on September 29, 2019. The insurance company of driver that rear ended us informed us that they were only going to tow the vehicle 25 miles. We live in Pennsylvania. We had no choice but request our vehicle to be towed to the shop as far north as possible, which unfortunately turned out to be Gerber Collision & Glass. On October 8, 2019 we got the first text notifications from Gerber. On October 15, 2019 we were told our estimated completion date was October 28, 2019. That completion date was reinforced 4 additional times. On October 25, 2019 our completion changed to November 1, 2019... and so the games began. All along we were not informed of a GM factory strike that our wreck occurred in the middle of. For weeks they knew they weren't going to get the parts needed for our vehicle... and I imagine many others too. We were lied to. We were dragged along. End of story? No. So then we're told November 8, 2019 and every Friday and Monday that followed. All along we live 14hours away. We have two small children and we both work full time. Every weekend we had to shift work schedules, decide where our children were going to be watched, how we were going to manage a minimum of 28hrs of travel. This isn't exactly the garages concern, but it certainly doesn't help having to worry about turning in our rental and picking up our vehicle EVERY WEEKEND FOR 10 WEEKS now for an accident we are not responsible for. I feel like my vehicle is being held hostage... through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and now we're about to go into 2020. How does a vehicle repair get delayed by 2 months? IDK... only Gerber has that answer. They have only called back as promised a handful of times. My husband constantly has to reach out to them for updates. JUST FINISH THE TRAVERSE!!! read more

We dropped off our truck to get a new front bumper and passenger doors. After 2 and a half weeks they called and said the damages was fixed. When we went to pick it up only the front bumper had been fixed. Finally after a whole month from the original drop off date they called and said it was done. Only when we picked it up they had messed up the tint we had on the windows and we had to take it somewhere else to get it fix. Never again will we do work with Gerber! read more

I was recently in an accident that was not my fault. The Insurance company of the woman that hit me was terrible so I decided to file the claim through my own company. My insurance company ( USAA ) has always been great to deal with. They suggested that I take my vehicle to Gerber Collision. They set me up an estimate appointment on the very same day that I made the claim. The estimator at Gerber ( Jan Rahner-Kiser ) was perhaps the most caring and helpful person that I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. She explained every process to me in detail and made sure to update me every day that my car was in the shop. When I picked up my vehicle after the repairs were complete it was so clean and the work they did was nothing short of amazing. Having been a member with USAA for 40+ years, I knew when they suggested Gerber that they must be a very reputable collision shop but I never could have imagined how their professionalism and experience could turn such a stressful experience into one that was enjoyable. ( I know that sounds absurd. I almost even feel crazy referring to my car accident as an enjoyable experience) Both the shop manager and the receptionist ( Robin ) were laughing and joking with my husband and I like we were all life long friends which we might be after this experience. read more
