Finally! I found a place that will make any flavor ice cream you want!! Then they ship it to you or in my case the owner of the company hand delivers it on Thanksgiving day!!! Something got mixed up and when he realized it and knew I needed for Thanksgiving dinner he literally got in his car and drove to my house which was 2 hours away!! This place really surprised me in the best possible way. I've lived in the area for almost 5 years and I'm actually kicking myself for not know about Tipping Cow sooner! I've gone to Toscanini's, Gracie's, and Christina's for years now and Tipping Cow has quickly become my new favorite. Their flavors are unique, fun, and super delicious. I had a scoop of blueberry ginger and a scoop of strawberry in a sugar cone this evening. It was fresh, delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor. It was served by a sweet lady very quickly and at a reasonable price. This is my new go-to ice cream shop! The Tipping Cow is a delightful little hole-in-the-wall that serves all of your traditional flavors as well as unique seasonal flavors. I tried the peach cobbler and the key lime pie, both seasonal flavors for the summer. The flavors were on-point, and they went really well together. They were also very generous with their portion sizes - I got a small in a cup, but a small consisted of two BIG scoops that was more like half a pint. I've been searching for great ice cream in my area and finally tried Tipping Cow. I had the vanilla and blueberry ginger. It seems like the local ice cream places try too hard and either make the ice cream like a mouthful of tasteless fat with absurd flavors (Gracie's) or exaggerate on the sugar. Tipping Cow is good on the creaminess but way too heavy handed on the sugar. Diabetics beware! Even the vanilla was too sweet. The blueberry ginger was a mouthful of candied ginger and no discernible blueberry. It's more accurate to just call it ginger with blue streaks. If they just dial back on the sugar, they've got a winner! We were 4 people and 3 out of 4 agreed it was far too sweet. The 4th would eat anything so he doesn't count :-) read more

It's difficult for me to say which is better at Tipping Cow: the unique flavors or the welcoming staff. I tried flavors like blueberry ginger, sweet corn, and strawberry and basil. The blueberry ginger was my personal favorite. To the owner, please keep making unique flavor offerings. The young employee offered to let me try each and every flavor. No questions asked. She also complimented on the pretty dress a young customer was wearing. All in all, one could not ask for a more pleasant person behind the counter. I've been here twice both times the same young woman was scooping and both times she was super unfriendly. The folks at the register were both cool tho. But interfacing with the surly scooper is a bummer. The first time I got peach and it was good. The second time I tried cannoli with hot fudge. The gave me the melted and refrozen bits stuck to the bottom of a nearly empty try and topped it off with room temp chocolate sauce out of a squirt bottle. The sauce barely tasted of chocolate and the ice cram was freezer burnt. The lady is so unfriendly that I didn't say anything and just decided I won't be back. There are too many other locally owned ice cream places near by to put up with rude staff and sub-par products. read more

This place is spot on with their ice cream and very kind. I spent a lot of hot days taking my dog for a walk and stopping in for a quick cone (yes, they allow dogs!). Cookie dough was my favorite, it has huge cookie chunks in it which i personally really like and i think it separates their cookie dough from other places. The base has good flavor. I dont think it is in the same wheel house as Toscanini's but it still is really good! Also, the guy who took my order was very friendly and had good customer service. We love it and plan on continuing to visit. One minor negative is they charge $1 for whipped cream from a can...I assumed it was going to be homemade like the ice cream, Staff is very friendly and make you feel welcomed! This is such a sweet little place. The staff is friendly, flavors are both interesting and not over-the-top, and the prices are good. Compared to some of the other trendy, expensive ice cream places in the area, it's a really down to earth little shop. I had the strawberry ice cream, which has a bit of lemon in it, so it's very fruity and a little sorbet-like. One thing is that all of the ice cream is very sweet--seems like there's a bit too much sugar in it. That bums me out because there are other flavors that I would want to try, like earl gray and lemon, strawberry basil, and sweet corn.
