The deli is decent... the store selection is great... The bakery is a DISASTER!!! I was across the street at Costco... thought I'd get some croissants sweets etc Huge mistake!!! Never again I was there Wednesday 5/13/26 afternoon Purchased: croissant, pound cake, fruit tart, and apple strudel Not sure which of them was worse... none of as good... because they weren't FRESH... seriously all 4 times were old & stale With those odds... you know NOTHING is fresh Do BETTER...!!!

Nice selection and decorations of German/ European related goodies available here. Parking is free right outside the village area. Service is curt but efficient. There are deli meats and other niche fridge items also available for purchase. The pricing is comparable to regular grocery stores too. If you enjoy German candies like I do, this is a good spot to check out.

Went here on Christmas Eve to get all kinds of goodies and I'm happy to say that this place has lots to choose from the bakery is awesome. Lots of pastries and breads to try the deli counter had lots of meat to choose from sausages ham you name it they had it very German style. They also had selections of sausage sausages to get as well.. the store also has lots of authentic German choices to choose from candy chocolate, coffee, wine, alcohol jelly you name it they had a lot of it. Everybody working there was super nice. We would definitely come here again for all of our German treats and food..

This place is great! The music is fun, the food is rich with flavor, and the bartenders are very friendly! Check this place out and make sure you try the Bavarian Pretzel Sandwich!

Two out of three employees I spoke to give off bad energy. The butcher was the person who handled me my iced mocha but said they were out of lids? He was the only employee that I thought was normal. I can also see and hear him with other customers and he is a 5/5 stars by himself on 2nd of August 0930 2025. The shop looks clean and organized and I do want to buy some cookies before I go but debating it because I don't know how I'll feel about the next employee I talk to. Eating a desert first thing in the morning. - Update to my review yesterday and I didn't buy any items at their shop after I had their iced coffee and cake. I don't have any regrets and I'll never return. I think my review is very valid. 3rd of August 2025

My husband likes their fresh deli for the bratwurst and pimento loaf. I enjoy browsing the large variety of imported foods. Friendly employees always willing to answer questions. We've enjoyed their Christmas Market as a date night, and our Grandsons were thrilled with the humongous pretzel sandwiches in the Biergarten restaurant.

This place is truly a hidden gem with great customer service and a friendly staff. Since we've traveled to Germany many times, we love coming here to find German and European products. They often have a wine tasting table, along with a great selection of baked goods, frozen items, and shelf-stable products. The shop itself has a cute and charming atmosphere. Located inside Old World Village, this specialty store has too many great things to fit into one review, but if I had to pick highlights, it would definitely be their deli and bakery counter. They also carry a nice selection of liquor and other European goodies that can be hard to find elsewhere. While prices are a bit higher than average, many of these items are rare finds, usually only available online. Plus, visiting Old World Village itself is a fun experience, you never know what you'll come across until you see it in person! It's definitely worth a trip for a fresh pretzel, a warm loaf of bread, or some authentic Bavarian sausage.

A cool little spot selling a lot of good German snacks, meats, and drinks. There was a pianist playing/singing when I came since it looks like they are celebrating the holidays a bit early. Was all decked out with decoration and was cool to walk around and check out everything.

I discovered this place while helping a friend look for a Tesla Supercharger. Right off the 405 on…read moreWarner Ave there is a Vietnamese market called Mekong Supermarket inside the plaza. The store itself is smaller if you compare it with places like Shun Fat Westminster Superstore or Hòa Bình supermarket. There is only one checkout counter and the staff all seem to be Vietnamese. After walking around, they pretty much have all the basics covered. The focus is Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ingredients and sauces. They have their own seafood and meat counter with number tags where you can ask them to clean or cut fish, plus a small deli to go section. I also noticed their delivery vehicle outside that says wholesale, so it seems like they also supply restaurants in the area. Overall it feels like a neighborhood market that also does some wholesale business. The fresh section looked clean and there was no strong smell. I happened to see ground pork on sale for $2.49 per pound. The regular price was $2.79. Of course I had just paid $3.99 per pound earlier that day at 99 Ranch in Irvine because I wanted convenience. While we were there, a Vietnamese lady next to us was buying a big pile of meat and seafood and chatting with us while waiting for it to be cut. She said she always shops here. She ended up buying the last of the ground pork in the display. We asked if there was any left and the butcher said he had more in the back, so we immediately decided to grab two pounds. I think this place is perfect if you do not want to push a cart around a huge store and just need to pick up a few items quickly. They are open until 8pm. Next time I have more time I will come back and explore a bit more to see what other interesting things they carry. Inside, it has a decent selection of items. I didn't notice that usual strong fishy smell you sometimes get in Vietnamese markets from seafood or raw meat, so it felt fairly clean and well maintained. Seafood and meats looked fresh, but prices are higher compared to other Asian markets. The produce section looked fresh as well, just on the expensive side. There is a small prepared food section in the front for quick takeout. Even with the higher prices, it's still a convenient place to shop. Not too big, easy to get in and out, and you can find most basic things you need.

So for those who love eating a lot of greens and variety, I definitely recommend it. It's also a good store when you just need to pick up small items like milk, eggs, or vegetables. Their fruits and vegetables are cheaper than Trader Joe's. They also often carry halal organ meats like liver and chicken hearts. Some items can be a bit overpriced, but the fruits and vegetables are definitely worth buying - they taste like they're straight from the garden. The downside is that you should be careful while choosing berries - sometimes there can be mold (though this can happen in any store). And that there's a credit card processing fee. However, despite a few drawbacks, I'm giving it 5 stars because their business is really valuable, and I wish them continued success and prosperity. I definitely recommend stopping by - there are always many interesting and tasty things to find at affordable prices. The cashiers are also very kind and friendly, thanks for the service!

The grocery is good for what to expect for any Asian market but the main attraction is the food court. It may not seem like much but all of them are really good and would fill up your hunger instantly. My favorites from the top of my head are the Katsu Don if I remember correctly and the Udon section where you pick your tempura (don't know the exact name). Overall good place to eat lunch or even dinner. Another problem would be finding a seat since there's hardly any tables and your plate is pretty big and bowls are heavy so you have to be somewhat quick to find a seat. The ambiance is fine but that's kind of to be expect in any supermarket, which is usually crowds talking and all. I really don't have much to say. Ever since this place closed down the anime shop, the DVD store, and bookstore, this place pretty much lost what made Mitsuwa special and worth visiting. Especially for someone who's into both anime and tokusatsu like Super Sentai (Japanese Power Rangers). Those places are what got me my first Gundam model kit (Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed) and my go to place for Japanese DVDs as mentioned (Gokaiger, Kyoryuger, and Nanoha). I understand why they close down these stores, especially with streaming services and online shopping are a thing, even though I don't fully agree as they are customers like me that would prefer in-store physical copies. That is why I deduct one star. These are replaces with a gachapon store, a Matcha store, a Boba store I believe and Daiso. The matcha and boba place (forgot the names sorry) are surprisingly good. I really like the matcha ice cream in a bowl and I believe the Doncha. The gachapon I cannot say as I never spend money there and I'm not into these gacha machines and I rarely buy anything in Daiso as its just your typical convenience store that sells some Japanese stuff so I won't say much. In conclusion, it's a very nice spot to eat Japanese meals and especially something to fill you up for the day while also shopping to buy Japanese food to cook at home. Just be aware this is pretty pricey, especially the Royce matcha chocolates and the food court.
