Through the years my wife has had several cakes from French's and they have all been delicious. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating. For her 60th she asked them to create a rosette covered cake in pastels. She showed them the color pallet from her decorations and they created the most perfect birthday cake! It was marble cake with strawberry ... and just wonderful.

This bakery is great I got my nephews 5th birthday cake here on 3/21/26 it was really good it was a marble cake with fresh strawberries Bavarian cream filling and butter cream frosting the strawberries were really fresh this is the only place I will get my cakes the design I asked for was done perfectly I like the Mexican Wedding cookies those are fresh too . The employees were really nice location is very clean and is in a good area if your looking for a bakery I highly recommend them.

Love this place ! The desserts are wonderful ! In French, "Les desserts sont merveilleux !" We purchased carrot cake & it was divine. We also purchased German chocolate cake, and French bread. My favorite by far is the carrot cake. Usually I have some constructive feedback, but when it's done perfectly like this, perfect recipe. Furthermore, each day, for the past three days I ate some, and it was just as delicious as day one. Additionally, the French Bread was crispy, on the outside and deliciously soft inside. Customer service was extremely nice, samples were offered, they knew the ingredients of each cake, very professional. The best part of being here is seeing all the Halloween, fall themed, autumn cakes. For example, pls. Watch the video clips. Then you could see how beautiful they look, and what I love about going curious that I know the inside is going to be just as delicious as the outside!

My husband ordered my birthday cake from French's Bakery and Danny went above and beyond to make it special for my 50th birthday. We asked for a coconut cake with a delicate cream filling and decorated with peacock feathers. It was delicious and red carpet worthy. Myself, our guests and even the restaurant wait staff were raving about it. It was huge and beautiful. , highly recommend.

I bought a Groupon and was excited to go try this bakery. However, upon entering the employee told me that Groupon had run the promotion without their consent. Since I drove all that way, I ended up getting a ham and cheese croissant. It was your average ham and cheese. They have a large selection of pastries, cakes, and cookies that look interesting. Danishes and danish wheels are their specialty per the sales gal. They have variety in spades. I had a sample of the cinnamon bread they had out and it was on the dryer side. Parking was easy. Service is average. Outdoor seating available. Please visit to create your own experience.

Disappointing! Flavorless. Wasted 75.00 on cookies to cheer my family up. Nicely decorated though though.

Cute little bakery with excellent offerings. The staff is super sweet and always incredibly friendly. I really dig the wagon wheels and the danishes which come in several sizes. Mmmm mmm

Cute little bakery. First time going to this bakery, tasted ok. There was hair in my pastries. I took a picture of one but I kept finding small ones throughout.

This has quickly grown to be one of my favorite bakeries ... I bake myself so I don't give out this compliment lightly. The cakes are absolutely delicious. And I love that they give you a variety of cake flavors and fillings to choose from. There is also a wide variety of already made cakes, cupcakes and other treats to choose from. If you are a fan of beautifully decorated cakes that don't use fondant, this is your place!!. I absolutely love the flower work on the cakes. Simply impeccable every time. The staff is always so courteous and patient and helpful. This is the only place that I get my mom's birthday cake from. The lemon cake, The cream cheese frosting is to die for. Let's not forget about $1 cupcake Tuesdays. It's my favorite day of the week and you cannot beat that bargain. If you want a custom cake be sure to submit the order at least one week in advance. I'm really a cupcake and cake fan, but those cheese danishes and those butter/ sugar cookies deserve an honorable mention. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything from this bakery. And the most important part, they are very affordable!

When we ordered the cinnamon roll, there was no option to heat it up, so we thought they would have done it already. When it was served, it was rock solid. So, we asked them to heat it up. However, after a few minutes, it still wasn't that gooey and the inner core was still pretty tough. Perhaps they could have warmed it up so that it was evenly softened. Overall, the cinnamon roll was alright. It was a brioche roll so you would think it might be lighter and fluffy, but ours was pretty dry. However, the cream on top was insanely good. It carried the roll. The hazelnut twist was kind of what you would expect. A twisted pastry but with a hefty amount of hazelnut-chocolate spread thru the layers. We sat in a little nook, where there was a magnetic black board, where there were word tiles you could rearrange in any way. It was a nice place to just look around at all the sentences the community wrote. Chess tables were also available as extra seating. Overall, the service was good, but could be better when warming up pastries, so that the customer can enjoy them properly!

I love everything else about…read moreCream Pan, but honestly, the line to select your pastry and the checkout is so UN-USER-FRIENDLY. The self service, pre-made lunch bentos, sandos and sushi area is fine, but once you need assistance from a worker, it starts getting ridic. How so? You speak to whomever is attempting to assist you OVER and UNDER a twenty-four year old counter area that holds the pastries and/or through a tiny hole in the cabinets. You can hardly make eye contact with the person, because all the pastry is in between where you are standing and where they are standing. Some people are tall, some short, but regardless, there is NO WAY to have a conversation with them. They are trying to see what exactly you are possibly pointing to in the case, but as noted, you're talking thru a case of pastry. This is also true at the Fountain Valley location, where they only have a very small counter to check out with many people standing in line trying to have someone collect their order from the back. Maybe also ask WHY there is never any KINAKO donuts? I was there at 11 am and I got THE LAST ONE! If these are so popular, why don't you make enough to sell throughout the day? Every other time I've been here, you were already SOLD OUT! SMH HAS ANYONE HERE SEEN THE SELF SERVICE process at 85 degrees? All their pastry is individually wrapped and you calmly walk through the SELF SERVICE pastry area with a tray and tongs to help yourself. If you'd like to pass the person in front of you, it's easy and doable because there is plenty of room and it doesn't make anyone feel like you are taking "cuts". Once you get to the end, the cashier totals up your tray and puts it in a bag or box for you. Done & Done. Let me reiterate that your pastry and food are all above par and I know you've been in business since 2002 and let me commend you for 24 years of service, but it's time to CHANGE IT UP to a more user friendly process. It's not appealing to anyone in this busy day and age that there is a line out the door, ONLY BECAUSE THE PROCESS INSIDE NEEDS HELP! It's also more sanitary that the pastry and breads are wrapped ahead of time as I saw a fly inside the case today. Ugh.

The space itself is gorgeous; very industrial, modern, and effortlessly cool, but still warm and inviting. From the moment we arrived until we left, the cafe stayed packed, which honestly says everything. We decided to sit outside in their back garden area and it was such a cute, quaint little escape. Perfect atmosphere for a slow breakfast date. The food was incredible. Eller is clearly serious about sourdough and they absolutely nail the execution. We shared the sourdough cinnamon roll and it was easily one of the best pastries we've had in a long time. I ordered the bacon quiche with a side salad, and my husband had the breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage, both were outstanding and felt thoughtfully made with really high-quality ingredients. For drinks, he had the hot Americano and I went with the cold protein latte. Both were solid choices and paired perfectly with breakfast. Between the amazing food, beautiful aesthetic, and cozy outdoor space, Eller completely delivered. Already looking forward to going back.

I've…read morenever had a bad experience here before, the food has always been great, and the staff has always made us feel welcomed and taken care of. This last visit was unfortunately very different. We came in with a fairly large party, and we completely understood that accommodating a group our size is a lot of work. When we got in line, the employee asked how many people were in our party, which made sense. However, we were then told that we could not all pay separately. This was confusing because payment is taken before you even sit down, so it's not like we were trying to split a bill afterward. Rather than make a fuss, we combined everyone's orders onto one card, totaling around $400. The food and drinks came out fairly quickly, which we appreciated. The reason I felt compelled to write this review, though, was because of how rude one particular employee was during the experience. She was wearing patriotic cat ears and appeared to be one of the baristas. One of my friends ordered a latte with alternative milk, but it seems the order may have been entered incorrectly. I've worked in the coffee industry myself, so I understand mistakes happen all the time, and remaking a drink is usually not a huge issue. Instead of handling it kindly, the employee responded with, "That's how it was put in, the request time has passed, that's our policy," in an incredibly dismissive and rude tone. We were honestly stunned. My friend, visibly uncomfortable, just quietly said "Okay," and the employee walked away. Nothing was offered to make the situation right. This happened after we had already spent hundreds of dollars and tipped before even being served. I'm not someone who enjoys complaining or writing negative reviews, but the interaction completely changed the experience for our entire group. What's most disappointing is that the refusal itself wasn't even the main issue, it was the attitude and apparent enjoyment in being dismissive over a very small and understandable mistake. I'm writing this mostly out of disappointment because I truly loved this place. I also think it's important for larger parties to know ahead of time that there appears to be a policy limiting payment methods, even though I've personally visited before with smaller groups where separate payments were allowed. I genuinely hope this was just an off day, because Eller Bakery has been a place I've loved supporting for a long time.

The people working there don't know what they are doing at all, the line was relatively short, about 4 people in front of me, but somehow it took longer than it did before. I placed my order with sugar only, no cinnamon, like I have since I was a child. The person at the window calls my name and hands me a bag, I check the churros they have cinnamon, I explained that I ordered with sugar only. She rolls her eyes and hands me another bag with plain/naked churros, no sugar. I again explain to her that I ordered churros with sugar but without cinnamon. She "dumps" the churros out of the bag into the sugar, breaking one of them, I asked her to replace the broken one, I again get attitude and flips me off when she thinks I'm not looking.
