Huge selection of everything. Huge selection of shows. Huge selection of food. Get the bratwurst!!! Tons of other things to do as well. Seriously so many, way too many to list! For some reason there were more than the usual glass, blowers, and glass crafting people. Some of the pieces are definitely museum quality. There are a number of bowling lanes to fit many people for a game, and there were no issues for us when we visited. Let's talk about last night…read more We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday with a party of 10. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the employee at the front counter, who was friendly and seemed to be in a good mood. We paid $107 for an hour of bowling and headed to our lanes. About five minutes later, management approached us and said that one of our teenagers had called an employee the N-word. We were told we had to leave immediately and that we would not receive a refund. We were completely shocked. We had no idea what they were talking about, so we tried to understand what had happened. During the discussion, we were told the police had been called. At that point, I gathered my family and waited near the entrance for the officers. We asked for some explanation, security footage, or any details about the alleged incident, but we were told the employee was too upset to come out and explain what had happened. I want to give credit to the officers from the Wappingers police department, they handled the situation professionally and took the time to listen to both sides. After speaking with us and then with the employee, it became clear that she had overheard one of the teenagers using the N-word while talking among themselves, not directing it at her. That is a very different situation from what we were originally accused of. The officer then asked management to contact the owner about refunding our money, and thankfully we did receive a full refund. We left and spent the rest of the evening somewhere else. My biggest issue isn't that someone was offended, it's how the situation was handled. Before getting the facts, management accused our family of directing a racial slur at an employee, called the police, and attempted to remove us without a refund. That was embarrassing and upsetting for everyone involved. I left feeling that the situation was handled far too quickly without a proper investigation or giving our family an opportunity to explain what had actually happened. I hope management reviews its procedures so future customers are treated more fairly before such serious accusations are made.

We go to multiple MLB and minor league stadiums a year. This is Minor League Stadium #14 as we're getting ready to hit August. I have to be completely honest. This is probably my least favorite Stadium. Began when we first got in and the boys went to hang out by the field to try to get a toss up. Usher told us if we didn't have tickets for the section, we can't hang out there. Really?? MLB, Triple A, Double A, Single A, Independent Leagues; never had this issue. I understand if it was getting crowded but the whole game there might have been 8 people in that section. Right out of the gate, things are going south. We then go to the team store as we always get a logo baseball for every game we go to. We have a whole wall with all the baseballs of the games we've been to in UV cases. They're out of baseballs!!! I then go to the taco cart to get "nachos in a helmet". They're out of helmets!!!! So they put them in a cardboard box. I also got a chili dog which was below average at best. Our ritual is, top of the 6th inning is for ice cream. We go to get Dippin Dots... yep... out of mini-helmets AND out of every flavor except banana split or cookies and cream in a plastic to go bag. Absolutely unacceptable for an MLB minor league affiliated team. The field was patched like a Frankenstein job at every base. I had very good seats but then again, I picked them online. Parking was $7 and tickets were $17 a ticket which I think is a little steep for a High A game with nothing to offer their fans except whatever they have left over and trying to get rid of. I saw a good game because I'm a Mets fan and the Cyclones won but I'm glad I only invested a little over an hour drive each way because the experience was subpar.

Low - the tacos. An abomination. I'm mad that I paid for them AND that I ate them. The beef was unseasoned, the shells were stale, the lettuce and cheese fell out everywhere - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If it's between eating these tacos and starvation....think long and hard about it. Also, the baseball helmet nachos were SAD. If you're vegetarian, you're gonna be hard up here. Our friend literally had cheese sprinkled on chips, with a packaged cup of Heinz salsa. She asked about the pump container of jalapeño cheese and got a blank stare in return. You have to really know or ask for things. We got soft pretzels, didn't see cheese or anything on the menu or at the counter - but saw other folks walking around with cheese for their pretzels?! Were we at the wrong stand? I want cheese! Not food related, but my three year old really wanted to run on the field so we asked if he could after the game was over and got shot down. Just adding a quick 2025 update…read more The staff is still 11/10. The normal bartender is ultra friendly and helpful, everyone loves her. Regular customers are all pretty respectful of one another. You still get random families with wild kids (sometimes wild adults lol) but you just live with it. They have string pins now. Compared to a few other string pins I've bowled on, these are pretty well tuned. They care about bowling here, which is nice. I appreciate that they allow you to reset the pins yourself on the lane, saves everyone time. Still my favorite house to bowl at in the area.

This is the first year for a feast of San Gennaro in Poughkeepsie…read more There was a small parade down Main St. (towards the river). ending up at 14 Civic Center Plaza. Scheduled noon to 9 pm. The festival is held indoors; this could be a good thing if the weather is inclement. There is no entry fee. There is street parking. There are many local businesses with their specialties for sale. Breads, oils, pizza, coffee, freshly made mozzarella. Several ongoing demo's and then ones announced periodically during the day. Kid pizza making, grape pressing, et al. There are stage performers, music, and a lot of kid friendly activities. Souvenirs. There are a few food vendors with the expected Italian fare: sausages, pizza, meatballs, etc. Two cash bars at either end. Bring cash, not all the vendors take cards. The restrooms are two flights upstairs.
