Great music venue! My wife and I go here to see concerts pretty often. It's a nice outdoor amphitheater. We usually bring a blanket and sit on the grass. You can hear the sound great from basically anywhere. It's easy to go grab food/drinks and return to your spot and bathrooms are close by as well. The service is decent for food and drinks. Ticket prices for concerts here are reasonable and some great artists perform here. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot, but it's still definitely worth checking out! read more

I can't speak to the qualities of COTA as an auto racing venue (I have zero interest in that), but last night I went to the B-52's/Devo/Lene Lovich concert at the amphitheater and although the bands were great, this venue is a horrible place to see a show. Even under ideal conditions, COTA is a huge place and getting from the parking lot to the show is a genuine hassle. There were thunderstorms and lightning flashes in the early part of the evening, which delayed the show for two hours, and Lene Lovich's set ended up being cut -- I know nobody can control the weather, but the staff on the ground wasn't helpful at all with providing updates on the show's status. Would it be canceled? Should we wait? We rode a tram bus from the parking lot to just outside the venue, and waited and waited for the gates to open. Nobody was telling the crowd anything. It was chaos. At one point we were herded down a hill into a parking garage to escape the rain (it was a garage, but nobody there was rockin', though cars filled with people bailing on the show and leaving were constantly coming through). I resorted to the B-52's Instagram account to get updates on the situation. Finally, at some point after 8 p.m. the gates opened, we entered the venue, wiped down our seats, and waited. After the show, we walked to the tram station (it was close to midnight by then) and waited, and waited for a tram to take us back to Lot F. There was some sort of "issue." People had been waiting up to 40 minutes for a tram. Nobody from the staff came over to tell us anything. We finally gave up and hoofed it over half a mile to our car. The COTA staff appear to be extremely disorganized and have very little idea how to keep a crowd of some 5,000 people informed about what's going on. They seem more interested in extracting money from people's wallets (besides the extortionate ticket prices, it's the land of $14 beers, $9 ice cream sandwiches, $45 T-shirts, etc. -- COTA makes airport shops seem like a bargain) than taking care of their customers. They don't seem to care about their patrons' welfare at all. I will not be returning to this venue under any circumstances. read more

I went to a show here for the first time on the 4th of July for Willie Nelson's 4th of July picnic. Acts included Willie Nelson & family, Tami Nielson, Asleep at the Wheel, The Avett Brothers, The Mavericks, and Bob Dylan. The first part of my review is about the show. It was incredible! I've seen Willie a few times but never for the 4th of July picnic so this was definitely a bucket list item. Each band gave a stellar performance. I was blown away! Now for the next part of my review. The part where I talk about the venue itself. Let me tell you I was so worried because I read so many horror stories online. The gates were to open at three but got delayed about thirty minutes because of rain. My pet peeve is that it wasn't updated on the website. Minor issue. We took an Uber there and back. Upon arrival, our driver was confused (even though there were cones and guides) but we made it through without a hitch. We arrived at 2:20 which would have been perfect timing if not for the rain. We managed to find a dry spot to sit and chat with other folks. Once the gates opened we got through smoothly and quickly. Getting there when we did was actually perfect timing because as we went through the gates we could see the entry line stretching for at least 1/4 mile. We were able to get food and drinks straight away because we were one of the first people in. Bathroom, no lines. Fast forward a couple of hours and bathroom lines, food lines, and drink lines were stretched for what seemed an eternity. It was a big show, sold out. Lots and lots of people, lines are going to happen. I would just suggest getting food and drinks immediately to avoid the crazy lines or maybe throw some snack bars in your bag. One of my least favorite venues to watch music! The set up, the parking, the walking, the entrance points just lack. You have to arrive at least 1.5 hours before to get there on time because there are some many hurdles to get through first before you arrive to your spot. I parked in lot H, which is like 2 miles away from the theater. Had I not seen the tram picking folks up, I would've walked to the show. You can tell this location is not built for shows, understandably, it's just a weird set up. Not to mention, exiting is a nightmare. I got out, but messy. They use over hundreds of cones and traffic signs to worn folks what lanes to use. Kind of tacky but does the job I suppose. Why does this place have bad reviews? We had a great experience here! We bought tickets to the Summer of Loud festival to see Parkway Drive and the ticket prices randomly dropped to just $30 for their Summer ticket promotion. We were so excited, especially after we expected to pay $100+ each. We were in the bowl, and looked at the seating options online since we originally expected to be way far back in the lawn if the tickets cost too much. This was the nicest surprise ever. We drove through the Circuit of the Americas which was cool to see. We had no idea where we were at, but the parking attendants quickly and easily directed us to a spot. The walk was not far at all! Less than 10 minutes for sure to a tram that drove us right to the entrance. We were at Rockville the month before and had to walk over 2 miles to our car. We also lived in Pittsburgh before this and had the expectation of waiting in our car for an hour+ in traffic trying to exit the ampitheatre. We even brought a little cooler with waters and snacks for after the concert since this was such a regular occurence. Literally when the concert ended we just drove out and left. We were so impressed with how planned out their entrances and exits were. The easiest amphitheater experience I've ever had. The workers were friendly. We got cocktails and a kettle corn, which were on par with expensive stadium prices, but that's to be expected. The sound and view were great from everywhere. Only complaint is that there is no shade - it's just in the wide open with the sun beating down on you. The show started at 3 pm, but we waited until 6 to go so we weren't in the heat for too many hours. Parkway Drive was the headliner, so it was perfect timing. 5 star experience, can't wait to go back! read more

Went here to see the Post Malone F1 Trillion tour. Loved the layout of this theater. We went in October so the weather was awesome (even though he said it was the hottest night on his tour so far). I loved how open it was compared to Dos Equis in Dallas, that being said if it would have been in July on a TX day I probably would be singing another tune. I didn't see anywhere that would be shaded except for VIP seats, even the regular seats are in the open below the lawn seats. There is not an obstructed view in that place unless a tall person walks by. Like any venue the bathroom situation was rough for women but you either hold it or wait in line. There were so many stands for food & beverages you had plenty of choices. The parking situation is crazy. It's huge. I love that they shuttle you to the amphitheater & remind you which lot you came from many times! When you come out you're waiting & waiting for the shuttle! There is no shuttle back to your vehicle, hence the many reminders of which lot you now have to trek it to! Lot H was the furthest back but the closest to the streets that take you out. Getting out of the lot only took less than 10 min. Highly recommend going here in a cooler season or take lots of sunscreen & less clothing! read more

The venue parking lot does not have a lot of access points and I wasn't thrilled that I had to walk at least a half of mile after the concert was over to get to the ride share area. There were plenty of vendors, limited among of full bar vendors so that created a line. We were in the reserved area 101 so our view was good and it was great seeing the fireworks at the final performance song. read more

Fun first experience at Germanic Insurance Amphitheater! The stage is wide enough that most seats were plenty close to see everything and at the best slope to see over other people, even for a shorty like me. They didn't use them, but they do have a a screen on both sides of the stage. Maybe this concert wasn't sold out enough to justify using them? There was a lot more opportunity for shade than I had anticipated due to it being an outside venue. Various places casted large shadows and wind tunnels that made being in July TX 100+ heat all day easily manageable and not crowded. They had a tent that had misters and large fans and had multiple areas of free, self-serve, cold water. There are a few different options for food including a vegan option! Prices weren't great, but that's all sports venues really. The only downfall was the walk from the Very far parking (lot D for no apparent good reason). WE pasted many empty lots that were closer to the entrance and nothing else was going on their that same day. They had One small bus (could hold about 15 individuals) to transport people back and forth from parking to the entrance. We were lucky enough to catch one, but saw tons of people walking about a mile in the heat on hot pavement. The walk felt nice after the show though! I really enjoyed my experience seeing Tiësto at this amphitheater after the F1 US Grand Prix! The amphitheater has many seats in the front and a grassy standing area in the back. We stood at the back and had a great view of the whole stage. The sound quality was excellent and we really enjoyed the lighting effects. The only reason why I rated it 4/5 stars is that finding amphitheater can be a bit tricky as the venue sits in the middle of the Circuit of Americas. There also didn't seem to be many entrances/exits, which probably causes issues at the beginning and end of shows. read more

This is a great amphitheater. It's a little bit of a drive, but I think it's worth it for the sound quality vs. an indoor facility, and only traffic in the area is getting in or out (unlike the Moody center) but moves fast due to traffic control clean, safe,plenty of parking both free and paid. Free parking in Lot A is only about an 8-12 minute walk depending how fast you walk. Security and tickets line move fast. Plenty of food and drink options available both alcohol and non alcoholic. Corn Hole grassy area picnic table area.bar area rises there is a lot to do and pass time once you get there. Large misting fans were running to cool down on hot day. At this time, they allowed 1 unopened water bottle per person and had refill stations available throughout. read more

Went here for a kygo concert. There is free parking at F and H lots with a ticket. it's a 15 minute walk to the amphitheater. This place is very organized. There was minimal traffic leaving. There are many attendants around. There are bathrooms located to the left once you get in. There are also additional bathrooms behind the stage. This venue is muddy, poorly laid out, and overall, a hot mess. Went to see the B-52's & Devo with Lene Lovich, and was trapped in a mile long completely stationary line in the rain for over an hour. Nothing was communicated to anyone except people at the front of the line, who thankfully passed the information back to us when we were finally told to go shelter in our cars-- a 15 minute trek away. Gate time was 6pm, but ended up being 8pm; this meant Lene Lovich was cut entirely from the program which was a severe disappointment to our party. (Devo & the B-52's also seemed to be suffering technical difficulties, though they still did a decent show, if a bit rushed, and no encores.) We were told to check Germania's social media for updates: not a single actual post was made- just a Facebook story. Fun fact: stories are a terrible way to convey text-based information. If this venue has a social media team, they should be fired for their incredibly poor handling of this potentially dangerous weather-related situation. They're also INCREDIBLY bad at communicating anything official to attendees at the venue itself! Multiple video screens outside the gates show an endless parade of corporate sponsor ads, but are never utilized to give information to anyone waiting in line. How hard can it be to hire a college kid to type up an announcement? The lines to get in were complete chaos. I have been to dozens of volunteer-run comic & media fan conventions with better organization, people-moving and communication. This venue fails on every single one of these marks. Definitely would not come back to this venue for another show. If I could leave zero stars for the venue, I absolutely would. read more

Saw Lana Del Rey here when she came to Austin in 2023. The venue was wonderful and prepared, intimate yet somehow still spacious. The lawn and food trucks make for enjoyable waiting time before the show, though the options were predictably overpriced and of low quality. The stage is always in great view no matter your specified seat, and the sound system is especially loud and perfect even for the loudest of concert crowds. LDR herself liked playing here! My second time here! We watched Avenged Sevenfold! The venue had ample bathrooms. They were clean and easy to find. The best bathrooms I have seen at a venue this large! I had gotten some pizza and a bottled water - each vendor had different prices (all inflated but not out of the norm). The ticket booth was easy to find and the service was great! The ticket booth attendants were very friendly and helpful! Removing a star from my rating because the line to enter was a hot mess. They didn't have organized lanes for you to enter so the lines went all over the place. The parking was easy to get to. We paid extra for the preferred parking lot. read more

Went to a concert in the amphitheater for the first time about five years ago. Yelp decided to remove the review today (five years later) because it was on the COTA page and not this one. So here it is again *eyeroll*. The bands were amazing. Better than amazing. Honestly the amphitheater itself was much smaller than I expected and they definitely oversold the lawn because people were stepping on each other and pouring down the stairs because there wasn't room. Oddly the sound was almost overly loud to the point the music was distorted on some songs, but maybe it was me. Be prepared to smell every kind of smoke there is and it won't matter if you move. I don't remember seeing much security and the parking lot is not well lit. It's not a place you'd want to walk alone. Entering and parking is confusing because if you don't know which lot you're supposed to be in, you could head the wrong direction. Vendors on the lawn were poorly stocked with water given that was August. Took asking three different guys before we found water. A can of Stella was $10 and is more expensive now of course. I will say it was clean, there was plenty of food offerings and it was nice that parking was free given that Ticketmaster charges upward of $15 for service fees. The shuttle guys were awesome. I'm just not a fan of this amphitheater and have been back about four times since I originally wrote this review and it's steadily the same experience but I really wanted to see the groups that were playing. read more

This event was one giant liability, and complete chaos, from the moment we drove within 5 miles of COTA, and I literally felt lucky to get out alive. Ticket prices were exorbitant, parking prices were laughable, traffic was insane, there was ZERO organization or control at the venue. The "shuttle" from the ride share lot was a literal hayride. We couldn't find the entrance to COTA, and were given wrong directions once we finally found an employee to ask. No signs directing foot traffic, no employees giving information. People not staying for the concert were panicking trying to get out because gates were locked, so they were climbing under or over fences. When we finally found the entrance, "security" was not checking bags or items brought in. No metal detectors, and people brought in tons of items listed as banned by the COTA/ Germania website. Anyone could have brought ANYTHING in without notice. Unbelievably, our tickets were never checked at all!!! Wish I hadn't spent $500 on GA tickets when we could have just walked in. Fences & barricades had been knocked over or moved, so crowds just marched over them. I appreciated the number of portapotties available, but I definitely expected actual bathrooms from a permanent venue, especially one with such expensive tickets and such a potentially high profile clientele. There was no cell, text, or map service available, so when I got separated from my (stationary) party, I wandered for nearly an hour before I finally found them again. The concert started on time & Eminem was excellent. Afterwards, again, there were no staff in sight, so crowd control was nonexistent. People were getting crushed & could easily have been trampled. It was so dusty that many were walking with their shirts over their noses & mouths. There were a couple more signs directing people on the way back, but not many, and they were not clear. When we finally arrived at the exit, the "shuttle" arrived to take passengers back to the ride share lot. Before the TRACTOR DRIVER came to a complete stop, people started swarming on, climbing over the sides & pulling people up, like a lifeboat on the Titanic. Again, zero employees in sight. Once the trailer was packed beyond capacity, the tractor began to move, but quickly stopped. The driver, who, incidentally, had an open beer in his cup holder, jumped back out & yelled that he thought he ran over someone. While he was investigating, a golf cart crashed into the trailer. It is unknown if there were injuries. We finally got back to the ride share lot, and heard several people comparing the dust, rocks, & giant fence on the site to a refugee camp or the border crossing. No employees directing anyone. No signs. Just a few cones indicating traffic lanes. Mass chaos everywhere. We had to fight our way through the crowd just to get to our driver's vehicle. I was literally terrified for my life the entire time I was on COTA property due to lack of security, staff, and rules, not to mention the thousands of people over capacity the venue clearly was. Not only was this an embarrassment to Austin, Texas, and the US on a world stage, if one thing had gone wrong, a mass tragedy could easily have occurred. COTA is lucky if no lawsuits come out of that weekend. read more

This is my first time at this venue. It's a decent venue. The music sounds decent. I wish it was a bit more enclosed for the sound. It's not as amped as other amphitheaters I've been to. It's not very big either which makes it better to see the stage. I'm sure that if we had front row tickets it would have been alot better. I will definetly be going back here though. I have been to a few shows here. They are okay. Parking access is poor. assigned seats are pretty good but not set up to have fun and get loose. Maybe to see Enya or classical music or something. Lawn seats are usually oversold and it's a mess. IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM, PREPARE TO BE SCREWED. went to Neil Young, they wouldn't let you out of the parking lot for 1.5 hours and then told you to leave as was cancelled for rain (not a drop of rain). supposedly rescheduled for September but that was only after searching the internet...they won't contact you and let you know. That didn't happen either and they won't give you a refund. 5 months later and still waiting for my money. they have a lot of good people play here, but it's just not worth it. everything being crazy expensive is a given and not even worth complaining about but they way they treat you and their lack of preparation is really inexcusable. Really big shows are a disaster. look up the Rolling Stones show here for a complete cluster for lots of people who paid a lot of money. Like I said, lots of great acts play here but I will never go to another show here. read more

It was 101 yesterday when we went to a concert. A little planning went a long way to make the event pleasant. You are allowed one 20 oz bottle of water. I froze ours to keep them cold longer. I put them in a gallon zip lock bag along with those neck bands that keep you cool when they are wet. The frozen bottles kept the neck bands cold and they were awesome to put on while the sun was still up. As the sun set, there was a nice breeze. The frozen bottles also made a sort of mini cooler that we could use for an extra drink so we didn't have to stand in line as much. Over all, it wasn't a bad experience and the concert was fabulous! read more

I am a huge music junkie! This is one of the music venues I really enjoy. There's GA, seating and lawn available. I usually get the lawn. The tickets are cheaper and the viewing is just as good. The amphitheater sells food and drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Prices are a little high but that'll be at any music venue you attend. Sometimes they do have specials. For the lawn you are able to take a small blanket as long as it doesn't exceed a specific length. Lawn chairs are no longer accepted. Hand bags have to be clear or a certain size. They are getting a bit picky with what is now accepted in but it actually helps in my opinion. The venue has screens both left and right of the stage for a view. They also have screens in the very back on a separate lawn for those that don't wanna be in the crowd but just relax and see from afar (no stage view) strictly screen. They have a VIP area which you can purchase when getting your tickets. The area has its own seating and bar. Available only to those with VIP tickets. It can be a walk from the parking lots to the main entrance but I won't complain cause the parking is free! Who offers that anymore?! Plus they have the people on bikes who can offer you a ride (for a fee of course). I have been there several times and I will continue to purchase tickets to this venue. read more

The food and service are pretty bad, but no worse than most other venues of this nature. The ambiance... I find this place cold and sterile. I've seen a couple of good shows when I've been up real close, but the vastness of it makes it nearly impossible for most bands to connect with all but the first coupla sections. But apart from that, the parking layout makes getting in and out of the venue a very long walk and they cancel shows with little or no communication. Tonight, I drove nearly an hour from Leander, TX all the way to Del Valle, TX only to find that my show had been cancelled. I checked the venue website maybe an hour or two before I left and there was no mention of cancellation even though I know it was known to them before this time. They saw fit to take the even page down, but as this was already a rescheduled show from an earlier date, I figured maybe they just never did a new event page. I had no email or text indicating the show would not happen and Germania's website had no announcement of a cancellation, so... off I went to waste a half a tank of gas and the better part of my evening. I never say "never", but it's gonna take one helluva band (and one that i've not seen before) to get me to even consider going back to this place. And I live for concerts (usually hit 8-12 per year), but not the way this place does 'em. read more

Came here to watch Khruangbin and they did not disappoint. This is a flat, open amphitheater. It's quite pretty when you're walking in - open skies, interesting art fixtures that emit fire at the entrance, and food trucks inside. I really liked the food trucks cause there were so many options and we get to support local with reasonable prices. My partner and I got food from a Venezuelan food truck - the tostones were so good to snack on before and during the show. The people at a Khruangbin show are always so friendly and fun to party with. Given that this venue is so spread out, it wasn't bad to stand, sit, or walk around during the set. I can imagine how tough it could be to sit here in the hot ass sun though, there's no shade. read more

Based on my experience at this amphitheater twice in the last month, I can definitely say I really enjoy it. I like that even if you get lawn seats, you are still pretty close to the stage and it is easy to see. There is a lot of lawn space, And you can easily bring blankets and just kind of set up your own area. There are tons of different food options, including pizza, tacos, small snacks, etc. There are also a variety of drinks, and beer options. Yes, they are expensive, but what do you expect at a concert venue. You are allowed to bring a small water bottle in as long as it's sealed, and they have free water near the bathrooms for refilling. I took my daughter and friend to the Lana Del Rey concert. The venue was easy to get to. The sound was great. Several drink vendors set up. Paid for preferred parking Lot D which was close. We had general admission tickets on the lawn. We got there early to get settled for the show. You can not bring beach chairs. Only a blanket or towel not to exceed the size of a beach towel. We were enjoying the opening band and the company of most of the people sitting around us. One of whom hurt her knee earlier that day and had a hard time bending it. There was one lady however that totally cussed out and threatened another lady for accidentally touching her boyfriend's foot. As it got closer for Lana Del Rey to perform the crowd grew and grew. No doubt they oversold general admission tickets. The lawn became pretty packed and behind the lawn area and the ramps too. I was thinking would if there was an emergency? I never once saw any security other than close to the stage. I checked the venue website for a phone number but there is not one. As soon as Lana Del Rey took the stage the massive crowd of people rushed forward to get closer. All the people who came early enough to find a spot to sit and enjoy the concert had to get up and stand. I had to quickly gather our things as the crowd moved it. It was the crappiest concert experience ever. We could not see the stage, only glimpses of it and the big screens. People were crowded in like sardines. I stood holding all our stuff trying hard to enjoy the concert and keep an eye on my daughter and her friend. My daughter has some medical conditions. I was concerned that there was no security to control the crowd. No effort on the part of the venue to make any announcement about staying seated and no effort on Lana Del Rey's part to encourage staying seated. Nobody had any common sense or decency. I wondered what happened to the girl with the injured leg when the crowd rushed in. I know they can't stop everyone from breaking the rules or being so stupid but security may deter some of that stupid behavior. Maybe there would be less people smoking pot. I don't care if a person makes that choice but it was a bit much after a while. Anyway, it really was the crappiest concert experience ever. Would not go there again. read more

Warning: Never buy VIP experience or premium seats at Germania Amphitheater!!! When we arrived for the pre show VIP experience (in 100+ degree heat), they lined us up in the blazing sun, then they took us down into the main venue pit, where a small tent was set up for the band, but no shade for the guests. They then asked us 100 or so 'VIP' guests, to sit on the blistering hot concrete ground. With all the hospitality facilities available at COTA, this was the best setup offered for VIP guests?!? At the very least some fold out chairs should have been offered. Even the band seemed uncomfortable with the scenario as they commented on it a couple times. Then we proceed to our front row 'premium' seats that were simply fold out chairs in the pit, divided from the pit with a metal fence. With zero elevation, this meant that we at the same level as the standing pit ticket holders, which meant that we couldn't use our seats at all. What an awful experience for a very expensive price. Note that this review is for RESERVED SEATING only. I have no experience sitting in the lawn section. Came here to see Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars. Wasn't really sure what to expect since I'd never been here before. When one of my friends told me that this Amphitheater is located in the same complex that houses the F1 track, I got kind of excited because, Formula ONE! My main concern about coming here was parking. I was tempted to get VIP parking because it seemed like all the other parking lots would require you to walk a good distance to the entrance. To my surprise, however, there were plenty of shuttles that would take you from the parking lots to the main entrance. As I was walking from my car toward the shuttle stop, I saw people getting on the shuttle and that it was getting full. By the time I got there, the shuttle was full and I had to wait for another one. I thought it was going to be a little while until the next shuttle came but this wasn't the case; not even two minutes later, another shuttle showed up. And as people were boarding the shuttle, I could see another shuttle approaching. If you're thinking about getting VIP parking, save your money and just park in the regular parking lots and take the shuttle. There was a line going to get inside the venue. They WILL PAT YOU DOWN! Which is about the only thing I'm not okay with. I'm okay with the metal detector, I'm okay with you waving your wand at me. I'm not okay with you touching me, my butt, etc. This is not the airport and if you want to grab my butt, at least buy me a drink first! Walking toward the amphitheater, there's a food truck area inside the venue although during this particular event, there wasn't that many. There's also a designated area to sit down and enjoy your meals. Pay attention to beer pricing. If I recall correctly, the beer pricing at the concession stands was higher than if you were to get one from one of those beer stands. I think domestic beer pricing was $12 vs. $8 or something like that. I didn't take pictures of the prices, but I do remember talking to my friend about the pricing. Now let's talk about the amphitheater. It's all open space which means: (1) If it rains, you will get wet. (2) People will be smoking. And not just cigarettes, if you know what I mean. (3) When the sun is shining hot, you will sweat! Dress comfortably. Now, with that said. If general admission (standing room) is an option, I highly suggest you go and do that. I had a reserved seat, and even though it was in the 4th row, I still had a hard time seeing the stage because people in front of me were always standing up. And they were bigger/taller people as well. And since there were also people to my left and right, I was pretty much stuck having to see somebody else's backside. NOT COOL. The sound system was pretty good for someone sitting in the 4th row. Not sure how the sound system would fare toward the back in the lawn section. But to compare this to The Woodland's Cynthia Mitchell Pavilion, the Austin360's sound system is, in my opinion, far superior Once the concert was over, I opted to walk back to my car although the shuttles were still out in full forces. However, since there were thousands of people leaving at the same time (vs.people coming in at different times at the beginning), I opted to walk back to my car. It took about 10 minutes from the venue back to my car, and another 5-10 minutes until I was back on the road. Again, I was plenty surprised at how easy it was to leave. If there's another band that I want to see and they decide not to make a stop in Houston but here at Austin360 amphitheater instead, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. STANDING ROOM ONLY! read more

Live music is not dead where venues like this one keeps events booked with big name artists. This facility can hold a 14,000 people with different price points and seating options. There is standing room an the front of the stage, club seating next up in middle and normal seating up two levels. Back you have the H-E-B Lawn so you can lay down on a towel and relax versus sitting in a chair. Early birds get the prime spots and you can claim a table next to the railing with perfect views. If you prefer the 360BLACK treatment then you can watch the show from the Crown Royal tent. There are lots of different types of food trucks and drink choices. You can even make an order from your phone using the FanFood app. Lots of places to hangout either next to food trucks or on a soccer field watching the performer on a big screen but still hear the sound from the stage. The sound is actually excellent for an outdoor venue. I have been to many across the country and this one is the best. The stage is huge and having the COTA Tower behind make it even more impressive. Getting here for newcomers can be confusing but I noticed the signage has improved. Lot A is the main one where either there is a charge or free. You can upgrade to B, C, or D. The walk from Lot A is a bit far but there is a shuttle and bike peddlers. Sometimes Lot F is open. All drop offs including ride sharing has been moved to Lot H. This place is rain or shine and I been here for both. Only lightning will either delay or cancel shows. There are built in restrooms on either side of stage and next to concessions (Turn 15). There is also plenty of port-o-potties located behind the stage. Overall it is a great amphitheater and always have a great time here. read more

The venue is nice. Highly suggest purchasing the C parking upgrade. With that said, they do have a tendency to over sell their concerts and whatever you do "DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR EVENT UPGRADE from VIP NATION!". We did for Incubus and it was a complete rip-off! Didn't get any of the merchandise promised, MixHalo didn't work, no signed limited poster, and the VIP host was the worst. More focused on parting with others than being a host. It your JOB to provide some type of hospitality not completely ignore those who paid good money for something so you can personally enjoy a concert. It's called a job for a reason. The only reason I am giving this venue a 2 is because the seats were good and performance was good. Overall experience is less than that. Greatly disappointed read more

It's wild how this amphitheater doesn't have covered seating like it's Texas competitors (Dos Equis in Dallas and Cynthia Woods in Houston). If you come here during the summertime, get ready to bake under the sun while standing on scorching concrete. There are very few free water stations -- nowhere near enough for 14,000 people. But hey, they'll sell you a small bottle of water for $5!! This place is giving Woodstock '99. read more

Don't bother coming here if you have a disability and cannot regulate your body temperature. Paid extra to sit in the Dell Tower Club, as they advertised private, air conditioned bathrooms, and the bathrooms are only available for those who can climb 6 stairs and walk to a bathroom. read more

We went to a concert tonight, tenacious d, and this very over weight couple were seated next to us. We were all standing and the guy was so large he stood infront of not pnly his seat but mine and i got pushed back. My husband asked him if he could move over because i had no room. His statement to hos female companion was these people are so f****** rude asking me to move. He did switch with the female but then ahe told me im a f****** b**** that there is no room. However, they then sat and she purposely put her legs in front of my chair so i could not pull the seat down and wrapped her arm around my seat, and kept elbowing my leg and ass. I stood the whole concert. When the show was closing she got up and started to push me. This was a horrible experience. They were so large they made it impossible for people to sit next to them. Thank you for having me pay for a seat that i couldn't use, waste of money. thank you for allowing some one who should have paid for two tickets get a massive discount, and the rest of us suffered. This is not a good venue, except for the sound. I've been here twice for concerts, and another time to pick up some friends from an event. Each time, traffic was awful, and the parking people were not letting cars into certain lots for some reason, thus causing a delay. Venue does not allow food in which I don't appreciate. If I'm coming into an evening show that's gonna last 3 hours, I'm gonna want food. Slim pickings at the food trucks instead. read more

I looove this venue, its become one of my favorites. In the past year I think I've seen four or five shows here, lawn tickets every time (Groupon is the greatest.) I've seen reviews of people complaining about the prices throughout the venue but I think they're pretty average compared to anywhere else I've been. (And since I get all my tickets on Groupon, I honestly feel like I can afford to spend a few extra dollars on water bottles and whatnot.) I've never paid for parking and I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus which I find ASTOUNDING. Any other venue I pretty much have to mentally prepare to shell out $15-20 to park but there is free general parking and free shuttles constantly running back and forth and the drop off point is right by the venue gates. There is something pretty specific to this location that can be seen as good or bad, though. Since it is outdoors and they host a variety of entertainment (I've been to multiple concerts and a comedy fest, myself) the regulations on what you can bring in with you can change if you don't do your research on that specific show. In the past I've seen people bring in lawn chairs for the yard but the last show I saw, they were prohibited. In this situation most people would have to make the hike back to their cars to stow any prohibited items (or toss it out depending on your own effort) but they've actually got a tent where you can check your stuff and just pick it up when you're headed out, saves show-goers a ton of effort, I feel. TL;DR, Check Groupon for tickets, $25 to see Gwen Stefani and Eve? Hell yes. $22 for Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg? Uh duhh. GENERAL PARKING IS FREE AND FREE SHUTTLES TAKE YOU RIGHT TO THE VENUE GATE, its great. Not sure if you can bring something in with you? Idk try it, worst outcome is you'll just check it at the gate and pick it up when you're headed out. read more
