An OG, a fried chicken salad, fries and IBC rootbeer. I'm usually timid about dressing my burger but this guy had new flavors, sauce, and pleasantly goopy. Finger-lickin' good, for sure. Its like "outdoor" & "indoor" met up and had baby music venue. They've taken an alley, given it a suitable floor, wooden benches for seating and canopy ceiling, and WHALLAH! I'll preface this by saying we went to Get Tight on July 4th, so maybe not a typical experience, but the restaurant did seem adequately staffed. The service was awful, we had to repeatedly ask for silverware and napkins. We got over charged for a menu item and after pointing out that the price on the special board was lower than what we got charged, the waitress did not correct the price. The burger was good, fries were cold. Might give it another try as the reviews generally seem good, but this experience was not. read more

This place is right next to VCU campus and there is never a long wait for food. I've eaten in the outdoor area and also at the bar inside. There's a little concert stage and they have shows very often. I tried the pit beef and it was super good. read more

Went here on two different occasions. The first was to see my friends band play, "Midnight Taxi". This was in the back where they have a wooden stage and light strung up. I really enjoyed the outside, you could sit or join the crowd to dance/get a closer look at the stage. All the bands that night were great. The bar is easily accessible as there is a separate booth outside selling drink so you don't have to go inside. The second occasion was to have dinner inside. It is fairly dark inside but each table has a candle and it fits the mood as when I went there was a singer almost arms length away. You could still have a conversation with your table and listen. Their fries are a awesome go to and you can order an assortment of sauces for 75 cents. read more

I tend to travel a lot and I spend a lot of time in Baltimore where I was introduced to the pit beef sandwich which I totally fell in love with. To my amazement I find out they have pit beef here in Richmond. I discovered this place called get tight and decided to check it out. I ordered my sandwich with no pink as I don't remember having a pink sensor at any of the places I've tried in Baltimore. I tried this place on a Monday night and although the food was great I was very disappointed with the service. I was told after a certain time you have to order directly from the bar, which isn't an issue with me, but the bartender that was working wasn't very friendly or efficient even after noticing me standing around waiting for assistance from him. I even asked for a menu and it took so long for him to even acknowledge my presence that another customer just gave me hers. Was in town on a Monday night and dropped by around 8:30 with my doggie and they graciously got me a table out front while the Karaoke played on to a warm crowd in the outdoor atrium, spilling occasionally into the sidewalk. While staying in Petersburg VA for the weekend, my wife and I looked for a Ravens Roost to watch the Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday 11/3/2024. We found the Get Tight Lounge was just the place to go in Richmond. We were blown away by the food and the Ravens win. The bartender Mark was more than accommodating during our visit. We stopped in after a show at the Altria Theater. I had the roast beef sandwich and my wife tried the Frito Pie. Both were flavorful and perfectly portioned for a late night meal before our long drive home. The service was solid and the drinks did not lack in punch. Definitely recommend a visit. read more
