I took my iPhone X in for a screen replacement. Took him about 15 minutes. He handed it back to me saying it was all fixed. HE SAID NOTHING ELSE. I got it back and noticed it was filthy from the repair so I sprayed it with a phone cleaner and rag. No worries because it's an iPhone X and as we all know, it's waterproof. Well apparently it's not anymore after the repair and THEY DIDN'T bother to tell me. Within an hour, Face ID, FaceTime, and Siri all stop working! When I went back he said it was all my fault and I should just magically KNOW that he broke the waterproofness of the phone. I asked if this has happened before and he said "five or six times!" I told him that in that case, he should TELL PEOPLE THAT THE PHONE ISN'T WATERPROOF ANYMORE!! He said that would be bad for business and threw me out. Said I should just somehow know that it's not waterproof without him telling me. Everyone I talked to said that there's no way they would have known either. So now I'm stuck with a $1,150 phone that doesn't work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! In reply to Sergei's comment: of course I didn't dunk it in water. I sprayed it off. And the reason I didn't "remember" dunking it is because that NEVER HAPPENED ! I've cleaned it hundreds of times before and there's never been an issue! I used a spray bottle of phone cleaner. Apparently the seal was so bad when you gave it back to me that it just wicked the water right in. You kept telling me I had dunked it and that didn't happen! IF YOU BROKE THE WATERPROOFING, YOU SHOULD TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS!! You just kept saying I should know and that it's common knowledge. I've spoken to dozens of people and not ONE of them thought that getting it "fixed" would break the waterproofing. Not one. But the biggest complaint is that when I asked you if this had happened before, you said "five or six times". That means you KNOW this isn't an isolated incident and you still DON'T TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS IMPORTANT INFORMATION THEY NEED TO KNOW. And you were NOT willing to work with me! You throw me out of your business and told me never to come back! So don't go trying to sound all reasonable, when you were NOT willing to work with me. That is a lie! Your argument that you didn't hide any information is false too. You said I should've asked. How is anyone supposed to just KNOW to ask. I don't HAVE that information. You did, and you didn't tell me...or apparently five or six other customers you've done this to. read more

Tryed talking to them about it and all I got from them that apparently shit like that happens and there is nothing they can do about it. The best customer service and they know what they are doing. My Droid (yes a Droid) got wet in the ocean. Not submerged but splashed. I could get it powered on (not supposed to do that) but the screen would not respond. Turns out, salt water is the worst water and acts as a conductor - you are not supposed to turn you phone on, especially after salt water hit it. I brought it in and they saved my phone AND all of my data. They had to order a new screen - said it would take 3 days. On the third day they called and said my phone was ready for pick up. I took my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 in to see if Gadget Ninjas could fix it. I expected for it to be gone at least a week and probably be unfixable for less than $80 or $90. When I explained the problem however (plugged in it would briefly show the battery charging then the power would cut out in an endless loop), the tech thought about it for a minute, then cleaned the charger and charger port - removing cat hair and what may have been part of a Cheeto. My tablet works perfectly again, for a very nominal fee and about five minutes' clever detective work. They call themselves Ninjas; I call them geniuses. I would recommend them to anyone, and am thinking of taking my old iMac in now to see if they can keep it going a bit longer. I have absolute faith that if anyone can, they can. read more
