This review is for Gev's khinkali. Wow. First off this location is absolutely stunning, inviting, functional, well thought out. The customer service was amazing, I felt supported and welcomed. Now, there is some limited English spoken, but please don't let that be a sign of bad customer service, rather it is just a small language barrier. There's an app by Google called translate and while it's not always 100% accurate it's pretty helpful and easy to use. Armenian and Russian is spoken here and trust me, they are making a genuine effort to speak English. Gev's KHINKALI is simply incredible. I can't wait to share some with my Armenian neighbors. Khinkali is a beloved Georgian (the country not the state) giant dumpling. It's kind of a variation of xiao long bao, the Chinese soup dumpling. Khinkali has its own delicate flavors and I love it boiled for 8-10 minutes, served with a little butter and black pepper. Let it cool for 3 minutes and then go for it. I like to bite a little bit off making sure the soupy inside gets in my mouth and some meat. Hard to only eat one. Gev's Kitchen is ready for you!! Gev's has a freezer waiting for you stocked with tons of frozen khinkali in different flavors ready to be purchased and taken home boiled or fried. $26 before tax for the beef and there are ten giant pieces in the bag. So after tax it's about $3.50 per each dumpling. In my opinion it is so worth it. Even though you can make this at home, it's a rather simple recipe, but to get the dough perfected to this degree is something else. The meat seasoning and quality itself is also perfection. Glad I took a chance and tried Gev's despite the few negative reviews. I will 100% be coming back specifically for the frozen beef khinkali. Parking lot is limited however they have two spots conveniently designated for Gev's. Ps: as someone who is sensitive and who takes customer service to heart, I must say they are very much in tune with making sure everyone is happy. This is top notch service, presentation, experience. You'll never find a place this clean, detailed, professional with such incredible Khinkali. They are smart for offering this incredibly special khinkali in such a convenient manner. Lastly, a kind request to the owners, please, I beg you please try to do your best to not raise the prices. I wish to be a regular and frequent customer but we are on a tight budget as many people are right now. I think this place has the best pelmeni and khinkali in the world! I always stock up on about five frozen packages of each to make at home. The packaging is excellent--easy to open, clean, and visually appealing. My favorite way to prepare them is by first boiling, then lightly frying them in butter. Always double-check what they give you!!! The woman at the counter was rude and unfriendly -- her expression alone was enough to kill the appetite. We ordered boiled khinkali, but she deliberately packed fried ones instead. Only when we got home did we discover the mistake. The fried khinkali are dry, tasteless, and honestly not worth trying. When we called the restaurant, the same woman refused to refund our money or send the correct order. Instead, she insisted we bring back the fried ones in person if we wanted an exchange. I ordered food from here a few days ago and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed, I ordered 1 pound of beef bbq which was about 30$ for about 5 pieces that tasted good. Other than that the bbq pork ribs were dry overcooked, the rice wasn't cooked well, it was hard not edible and looked a Few days old to Be honest. My kids wanted an order of French Fries it was literally trash, hard, burnt, over cooked wasn't edible. I'm giving this place a 2 star because I don't want to hurt the business, I really had high hopes for this place but come on that's not how the food should look or taste for the amount they are charging!
