What a great auto shop in Braintree. Nobody ever likes having to get their car repaired, but I've now been to Geyer's twice for my Honda Civic in the last few months (unrelated repairs) and it's been a real pleasure. They are very, very reasonable with their pricing. Their work quality is excellent and they have turned my vehicle around in pretty short order. Everyone that works here are very friendly and helpful. Bossman is almost too friendy.. He's honest and reasonable with the pricing. Even the mechanics are friendly! You know how auto mechanic shops can get pretty intimidating when you arrive there, but not here! It's great here, you can approach anyone there and they seem very willing to help. I've dropped my car off here plenty of times to get work done to it. Their prices are affordable and their work is awesome. They get it all done within a reasonable amount of time and with short notice! Drop your car off in the morning, it's done before the day is over. Some shops, you'll leave your car there and they wont even start till the next day... These guys are the real deal, just make sure you drop your car off early morning or call them ahead to make sure they have time to work on your car that day as they get pretty busy. I haven't need service in a while since I have a newer car and it doesn't require repairs. But if i was to need car repair service, I would definitely choose Geyer's garage for sure. I researched Geyer's before bringing my car there, and their reviews on other websites were favorable. I had just moved to Braintree and needed work on my car, so I brought it in. Geyer's labor rate is an astronomical ninety dollars an hour, which is high even by Boston standards. After a particularly expensive repair, I was handed a receipt which was not even itemized. I have no way to verify whether this work was actually performed, as I'm still hearing the noises which lead me to take the car in in the first place. My boyfriend took his car there to have a wiper bold tightened, and they charged him ten dollars. Most other mechanics I know would have done that for free. I wasn't carrying cash and when I went to pay the 10 dollars, the owner didn't want to debit such a small amount, and gave me a hard time. I will likely be finding a new mechanic. read more

My grandson needed a new axle on this Cherokee,he removed the old one-no cost even though he went elsewhere for the replacement as his mother had made arrangements to have it done by another mechanic in his home town.My wife got an estimate for $2,000 worth of work from NTB,on her Honda we brought it to Geyers he said we needed $350.00 worth of work only.,and replaced the brake line in 1 day. No, no, nope. Don't fall for the "aw shucks" approach from Mr. Geyer - he still is an auto mechanic and unfortunately is just like the rest. Very high charges, does not itemize his invoices and installs used parts. Avoid and go elsewhere. read more

I've been brining my car to Geyers for almost 14 years. My wife and I have been taking our cars to Geyer's for about 5 years now. She needed a new clutch and they were hundreds less than the transmission shop. Since then they have maintained all five of our family's cars. They are honest, do a good job and charge a fair price. Auto repair is not cheap but Geyer's charges a fair price and most importantly fixes the problem. They do not just change parts and charge you for their lack of understanding your car's problem. First off, my family has been using the garage for years, and always speaks well of them. I even used them a couple of times myself. However, when my car shat the bed, again, I took it to them. The guy said that he would have a look at it, and call me later. I waited like a soldier's wife, yet he never called. I called him back a couple of days later to inquire about the status of my not so fine automobile, and again he told me that he would call me later. He didn't. My insecurities were starting to creep up on me. I am used to women telling me that they would call, but never a grease monkey in overalls named Gus. After this experience I may need therapy. I had to have my car towed to another location that actually wants my business, and will call me back so I don't feel like the used end of a one night stand. Thank you Sam's Auto! read more

Started going to Geyer's about 10 years ago on the recommendation of a friend. I have taken a couple different vehicles there on several occaisions and am always more than happy with the work and price. Like the reviews above say George is a great guy with integrity, not always what you find in a mechanic. $90 an hour is not astronomical especially when you have a garage that, in my opinion, gets the work done in a very timely manner.
