Everything people have wrote is absolutely true. Best massage I've ever had. Amazing manners and always checking with me during the service.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!! THIS WAS THE WORST MASSAGE I'VE EVER HAD AND IT EXTREMELY INJURED MY SPINE!…read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE AS WELL. I will start by saying I get massages VERY often and prefer firm pressure. Usually places don't even do it firm enough. I decided to give this place a try because of the price and availability. They have a phone number you can text and they respond very quick which is nice but that's probably the only good quality about this place. I came in for the 90 minute back pressure massage and requested Ivy. The bathroom was very interesting...there was a shower and bucket but it doesn't seem like it's for customers. It didn't feel very clean. Anyways when I got ready for my massage, there was no indication when the masseuse was actually going to come in so I rushed to get ready. When she came in, I was waiting for her to ask me what hurt and what areas I wanted to work on...instead she asked me what was wrong because I was looking at her... As for the massage, there was no method and she would work on random areas longer than others and one side more than the other. Not because that side or area needed more work. My lower back was the part that was hurting really bad and that's what I wanted to focus on but she did not even touch my lower back. She kept burping during our session and I felt her body press up against the wall while she used one arm to lean into me while she used the other to massage me. When it came to the hot stones, she didn't tell me when they were being applied, she randomly slapped them on in the middle of the session, they were super hot, and kept sliding off and falling on the side on my body about 9 different times. She wouldn't even notice for quite some time and would eventually throw them back on my back where they would just slide off again. Where it went really wrong was the pressure and what she did to my spine. I kept telling her lighter pressure and she acknowledged it but didn't go any lighter. I was sweating, making noises, and moving my body from being in so much pain but she didn't change anything. She kept ELBOWING and using her knuckles to press into my spine, especially where your neck and spine meet, between your shoulders. Anyone knows that massaging and especially elbowing bone is a HUGE safety issue and should never be done. I was trying to sit through it and tried not be rude, but eventually I was in so much pain I told her to end the session 30 minutes early as I couldn't take it anymore and was worried. I was in so much pain and couldn't really move. This wasn't a sore pain you feel after a deep massage, this was "is something bruised" "do I need to go to see my doctor" pain. What made things worse was when I went to check out, the front desk lady didn't seem to realize I came out 30 minutes early! She looked at my tip and questioned why it was so little (I paid the full 90 massage price AND tipped). I told her that it was way too hard and I was in pain. She proceeded to tell me in mandarin why I was wrong and how it was just firm pressure. This is really upsetting because no one should ever elbow someone's spine and neck bone, no matter how light or firm pressure is! It was extremely loud outside as well. There was a man talking on the phone, people talking very loud to each other...not a very relaxing setting. I came into this wanting to be relaxed, hoping to be in less pain, and instead I was even more stressed out and literally could not even lay against a pillow for 3 days at home. My spine felt like it had been burned and bruised. I regret not waiting for an opening at my usual place.

She has an intuitive touch that always finds and releases the knots and tension I build up from long hours at the computer and intense workouts. Her massages have made a huge difference in my recovery and overall well-being. The spa itself is a hidden gem. It's located in an unassuming strip mall, but don't let that fool you because the space is clean, the staff are very professional, kind, and welcoming. It looks like the spa may be under new ownership, and they're doing a great job creating a relaxing, high-quality experience. One thing to know: the staff primarily speak Mandarin, so if you call, don't hang up if there's a delay. They use live Google voice translation, which works well but takes a moment. Be patient; it's worth it. The prices are also incredibly reasonable for the level of care and skill you receive. I highly recommend May and Sea House Spa to anyone looking for true therapeutic bodywork at great value.

It was a pleasant enough experience up until it was time to tip. Despite purchasing this couples massage on Groupon, I always tip based on the original, pre-discounted cost. For a 60 minute couples massage, the price was advertised as $150 in house. I was planning on tipping the 15% on the $150 and the masseuse honestly made it really uncomfortable for me. She kept saying my entered tip amount is just 1 person and I said that's 15% of the cost of the massage. I even showed her my math on the calculator. She then said she expected at least $20 per person for the massage and that's coming up to almost 30% tip. I ended up tipping 20% and walking out and will likely not be returning. Perhaps increase the cost of the service rather than making customers feel awkward and obligated to tip higher.

I can tell he doesn't understand English much. But that's okay. I kept asking to get a little lower and away from my shoulders. But he didn't understand. But that's okay. He was very kind very nice. He had asked if I was feeling okay. But honestly, I first requested for the 15 minute chair massage. And he said okay. Once he was working on my back at the very beginning he was doing a little work, then he said you should go 30 minutes. I said eh it's okay. Just a little light work is fine. Then he kept saying I'm a little tight and it would be best to do a 30 minute to get all the knots out in my back. So I was like okay well fine. So we went with the 30 minute chair massage. It felt nice at first. But I will let yall know that they go very hard on the elbow. Like with their elbows they go hard. You can feel it. They're all about pressure points here in the back. It hurt. It did. But I touched it out because I knew I needed it. At the end I when I got up from the massage I just felt my whole body release all the tension. I felt free. Felt better. But also, was sweating a lot because it felt like he had done a lot of work to my back. It hurt but it was good for my back. Like I said I toughed it out. I would def come back though. He just needs to go a little softer.

When I told them I didn't have cash and wanted to pay by card or Zelle, the staff member immediately asked how much tip we would give before the massage even started. He even suggested that we should tip $30 per person, which was very uncomfortable and inappropriate. I explained that I prefer to tip after the service depending on the quality, which is normal. However, the staff kept repeating "No tip?" with a very rude attitude and facial expression. I even used Google Translate to explain clearly, but they still acted disrespectfully. Then when we paid by card, they added a $2 service fee, and even if you pay by Zelle they still charge the same fee. Customers should not be forced to pay extra fees like that. What shocked me the most was that while I was talking with my friend, a male staff member started mimicking my language and laughing at us in a mocking way. That behavior is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The massage itself was also very poor quality. We paid for a 1-hour massage, but they started counting the time immediately after payment, not when the massage actually started. During my massage, the therapist kept standing up and walking around the room, which wasted a lot of time. The environment was also terrible. The staff were talking loudly the entire time, making it impossible to relax. When my friend asked a simple question about the massage service, the staff member responded very rudely. My friend she wonder the body massage have no hand massage and he directly yell "oh come on, no"??? The place itself also smelled bad, which already made the environment uncomfortable before the massage even started. I come to this place cause my friend she reccomended here they did a very good job. Don't come here, if you don't want to waste money and time.
