I've grown up visiting Park City many times every winter, and had never been to Ghidottis, so I decided to check it out last night due to limited reservation options in PC. When my group arrived, the hosts were a bit unfriendly and did not seat us for about 10 minutes even though we got there on time. We ended up being seated at a nice spot next to a fire place, and our table was spaced out from others which made us feel safe, with covid guidelines in mind. Our server was super nice & a great change in attitude compared to the hosts. He quickly brought us our drinks (I ordered the cucumber fizz with tito's) and apps (we ordered caesar salad and calamari to share). He also brought out warm bread with a white garlic dip to share. The cucumber fizz drink was heavy on a juice concentrate and was very sweet & sour. Once I added some water it was ok, but I'm not sure I would order it again. The caesar salad was very simple and a little underwhelming, as the lettuce was a bit wilted. The calamari was a crowd pleaser, and both dips it came with were very good. We appreciated the warm bread basket as well. For our mains, we got the 2x bolognese (one regular, one with gluten free pasta) and the spaghetti with meatballs. The portions were smaller for an italian restaurant, but the dishes hit the spot. I wouldn't say it was the most authentic pasta dish I've ever had, but it satisfied our pasta craving. My sister also really appreciated that they had GF pasta options. Overall, our server really turned this experience around. He was so nice after an unpleasant host experience, and we appreciated him placing us in a more secluded area. This restaurant is very spacious and made us feel comfortable with the covid guidelines in place, the food just wasn't anything incredible to write home about. read more

Love this place! Took my daughter and grandkids and everything was perfect! Service was exceptional, the busser Alfredo was so friendly and kept our water filled and taking away any empty plates we had, such a nice guy. My siblings and their spouses went to celebrate my youngest brother's wedding. The ambiance and decor of the room reminded you of old Italy. We received a lot of attention from staff. It was midweek at 5:00PM. Menu was extensive and the waiter provided very good extensive descriptions of the menu items. Everyone enjoyed and shared their food. Appetizer salads were shareable sized. The beet salad was verrrrry large and had both yellow and red beets. We all would love to explore more of the menu items on our next visit. Our only regret was that we had not requested one of the large round tables that would have contributed to more conversation and light hearted ribbing. read more

Lived in PC for years and never made it here. Finally came to visit last night with the husband and his boss and coworkers for a celebratory dinner. Nestled in the Newpark shopping center when I walked inside it was like being transported to Caesar's palace or the inside of the Venetian. Totally different world inside and took me by surprise. Server Tom was excellent and honest the entire time..props and bonus points. We ordered salad to start and I really enjoyed the House salad. It was crisp and fresh with some cucumbers and shaved croutons and parmesan cheese. The vinaigrette was light and refreshing and the shaved croutons made the whole salad crispy instead of just big chunks of croutons. My husband ordered the caesar and it came with 2 anchovies on top and it seemed like it had just the right amount of dressing on it and wasn't soggy. I ordered the conchlioni and it was so interesting. Reading the description I thought the cream corn was on the side. But when it came out, the stuffed shells were served in a sweet cream corn sauce. It was such a different combination of the salty cheese and the sweet corn sauce. It was rich and creamy and I devoured every bite! Hubby ordered the bolognese at Tom's recommendation and he loved every bite as well. The noodles were thick ribbons mixed in with the meat sauce and it was just the right amount of sauce with the amount of noodles. Three of the other guests ordered the scallops and said it was about as good as they ever tasted. The final person ordered the Osso bucco and Tom told us it's the most popular item on the menu. He wasn't able to finish it though as there was a great amount on the plate but he enjoyed it and was able to take some home to savor later. For dessert one couple ordered the pistachio bomb and it was super rich and chocolatey and the pistachio center added a nice flavor to all of the chocolate. We ordered the gelato sampler and loved how it came out with four mini cones instead of in a bowl. The salted caramel was a bit too salty for me but I devoured all of the other flavors (chocolate, pistachio, hazlenut). I also ordered a tropical green tea and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was fantastic and our waters were never empty but I thought it took a bit long for the service of each section of the meal (we were there for 2 hours). However, we were not in a rush and it was great to not feel rushed. The bathrooms are pristine too!! read more

Came here on a Saturday night, made a reservation at 8PM and we got to seated within five minutes and we were greeted by the server with a nice friendly smile....We ordered fried calamari, Caesar salad, minestrone soup, my son had the shrimp linguine pasta and I had the pork osso buco... two Coca-Cola's....Fried calamari was good, Caesar salad was weak with very little dressing, minestrone soup had meat in it, and the linguine pasta was OK and the Osso Buco was OK....Mediocre food at best but the service was nice and fast and efficient.... Amazing food & ambiance. My family & I decided to try this place right as there was the call to close all restaurants in this county for the coronavirus outbreak. The staff was welcoming and polite & the menu was a really beautiful spread of Italian classics. Some of the best calamari I have had out of Europe. The owner or manager spoke to us about the closings and we really feel for them. After all of this is over, definitely check this place out. Update: I was able to visit this restaurant again, and I'm so glad I did! First off, the service was amazing! If you visit, Carter is your guy. Great waiter! Unfortunately they didn't offer the duck on their menu anymore (it was seriously so good). Though I was not a fan of the way they prepared the fish I ordered this time (I believe it was fresh yellowtail), I enjoyed my time and was appreciative of the efforts the staff made to provide excellent service. Now let's talk about the dishes that WERE TASTY: The Crispy Lamb Ribs! Um, I need these in my life always. The manager (Joe) told me that they have the same sauce that the duck had, so there's no surprise that I like them. But the meat itself was also cooked just right! The calamari is always delicious. The crab tagliatelle was also very good! We ordered dessert and got the house made gelato, YES! I don't really like chocolate so I got the other flavors and they gave me their mango sorbet instead of the chocolate option. It was so good. My thoughts on their food remains the same; DELICIOUS (with the exception of the fish I ordered. It was just too overdone and not seasoned well). Nice ambiance cute Italian theme. All three of us had the shrimp scampi which was delicious, the sauce was really the star feature. Easy to get to as it is part of a mall complex so make parking. I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. When I ordered the bruschetta it came out tasting like cream cheese. No tomatoes, no garnish nothing. Somebody recommended the veal, mediocre at best. I can't remember the exact name of my pasta but it had mushrooms in it and it tasted like complete crap. Then to boot when we sat down, it was about a 15 to 18 minute wait before somebody even poured our water in a glass. I never leave terrible reviews with one star. But this one earned it. On a very slow night in shoulder season we came out to dine at Ghidottos. We had a lovely waitress who couldn't have been nicer. I ordered a $30-ish filet medium rare. They brought it to the table raw. It took them over 15 minutes to bring up the temperature. By the time they came to get the steak and the brought it back my husband was done with his lasagna. I didn't want to eat alone. I asked it to be boxed. The manager didn't even bother to come talk to us or apologize, instead they offered us dessert through the waitress and we declined. This restaurant is very beautiful and new, but we just ate here tonight and were very disappointed. The shrimp fettuccine was dry (lack of sauce), and the shrimp were over cooked. It was my boyfriend's birthday and made a reservation for 9 pm. I had heard this was one of Park City's best and wanted to get my guy a wonderful experience. In short, I received a phone from the hostess three times: 1st -asking if I could make it by 9 pm due to kitchen closing. My response: "Yes, that is why I made the reservation for 9 pm on Open Table." 2nd time - Hostess called back and said: "My manager says; we cannot take you if you are not here before 9:10 pm." I respond: "We will be there." She responds: "Can you call me at 9:00 p.m." WTH!! 3 - Called me at 8:47 pm, AS MY BOYFRIEND IS IN THE CAR NEXT TO ME, and says how her manager is canceling our reservations. She also could not recommend a place since EVERYTHING closes at 9:00 p.m. COMPLETELY unacceptable ! Happy birthday, Babe. IF the manager said that - should of personally spoke to me. Ghidotti's will NEVER get my business or my recommendation if they run their operations like this. If the kitchen closes strictly at 9 pm then do NOT have Open Table, Google reservations, etc. have slots available at 9 pm. Common Sense!! read more

I'm from New Jersey: the capital of amazing foods. I've been in Utah for 3 months and have yet to find passable food until I ordered Ghidottis. When I walked in, I was so impressed by the ambiance, the cleanliness, finally a place with table cloths, and a very attentive and welcoming host. The bartender was also very nice. I finally got a salad that was freshly made and simple yet delicious. The margarita pizza was the best I've had in Utah - by far. Now I plan to go and eat there because it was so welcoming and good. I also have a severe allergy, which they took very seriously and I appreciate. I feel a little less homesick because of this place. Thanks! read more

We went here for a friend' 40th b-day dinner, and the food was great! I had salmon with the fettuccini. The salmon was seasoned perfectly, and I consider myself a salmon snob. The service was great. We had a waitress that was very nice and accommodating. Many times we had went through our waters. She was quick to refill them and also asked what we needed every time. Our food came out so fast that we were surprised. I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and they were delicious. My mother ordered the sea bass and she also enjoyed that. My sister ordered the same item as me and she said it was delicious. At the end of the meal we ordered Gelato sampler with cinnamon, chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla gelato. The chocolate gelato was more dark cacao which was great but unexpected. The vanilla was very basic, but very creamy. The pistachio was decent but nothing special. The cinnamon gelato was delicious. Incredible atmosphere, small wine supply, and mediocre food. On day 3 of our guys ski trip, we were able to get a reservation for our group of 7. G is located about 10 minutes outside of town in a strip center. As you walk inside, it is difficult to tell you are inside a strip mall. Beautiful statutes and Italian decor. 50s/60s-era Italian music piped throughout the well-sized seating area. We sat near an enormous fireplace in the back. Our server was very friendly and recommended a blended wine that we ordered. A few minutes later, she returned and told us they were out of that particular wine. We then ordered a different wine, and a few minutes later we were told the same thing...out of that wine also. Our server double-checked the wine supply and we ended-up going with a great imported Chianti. Very tasty. I wanted to order seafood, and asked the server if she preferred the salmon or scallops. She recommended the scallops, and I thought i would give it a try. We had some bread that was served with a lemony-type butter sauce, and I swear this is the same sauce that was used on the scallops. The scallops were large, cooked just right, and tasty, but the sauce really didn't do it for me. I did enjoy the polenta with the scallops. Others in my party thought their food was ok as well, and G was not one of their top restaurants on our trip. Our server recommended a great bar (The Cabin) that we attended the following night, but her great service couldn't make up for the rest of the night. read more
