What a...COOL concept! A themed Halloween Pop-Up Bar! Just genius!!! Hats off to the creators of this themed bar! A well executed idea! I love coming here! The moment I stepped foot into the GHOST BAR, I was mesmerized with the theme. It was like walking into a HAUNTED HOUSE. Not kidding. There were EERIE...SCARY...GHOULISH props set up everywhere. Employees dressed up as scary characters; Creepy dolls and decapitated heads displayed on walls; scary looking bodies in corners of the bar; a stand up coffin for those dare to go in ; fake blood splattered on the bar and table tops; interactive picture frames and jack-o-lanterns; freaky old Halloween movies shown on flat screen t.v.'s; skeleton centerpieces and so much more... Halloween themed drinks and candies on the tables are part of the theme, too. I tried the...FACELESS LADY cocktail that came with a spider ring...cute accessory! The drink was ok. Not sure I would order this again. It supposed to have a lychee flavor, but I was not able to taste it. On another night, I tried the...GREEN LADY that also came with a spider ring. Now, this drink was...GHOULISHLY de-LISH! The melona in this drink was a "home run!" Yum, yum, yum. So, if you are in the mood for some HALLOWEEN FUN? Go and take your friends there. You'll thank me for that!

Came here after work on their opening day. Really nice ambience to get you into the Halloween spirit. They have a bunch of tables and booths on the side. The prices are pretty reasonable and they have a selection of Halloween mixed drinks as well as beer and wines. Only a couple non-alcoholic beverages but let's be real, you're going to a bar for a reason. They have a few pupu looking snacks to munch on while drinking. I had the faceless lady drink in melona which was really good. Gotta love me some sochu! I can see this place being really busy as it gets closer to Halloween especially in the evening when the sun goes down.

Okay, the decor is fun, the service is quick, and the drinks are alright. It's cute to see folks dress up in costume just to have a good time. One star short of perfect because the restroom is really really unpleasant smelling :(

I'm here for the Boos! It's a seasonal popup, only open for the month of October. Lots of spooky and creepy decorations, witch were fun. ‍ They had lots of creatively named drinks to go along with the Halloween theme. The drinks all had a fun prop - clown nose, skeleton arm, glow stick, vampire teeth, etc... that also made great photo props. ‍ The food was a bit on the sad side and it's just snacks. But you're not here to eat dinner... you're here to have themed drinks with friends. ‍‍ The space is nice and big this year, witch is great for groups.

Who needs all the other props when you got crazy ass looking dolls up on the wall! Eff dolls! Lol So some friends and I decided to drop in on this Halloween themed pop-up bar that recently sprung up in Ala Moana Center about two weeks ago. We gave it a go since we enjoyed playing around in the Christmas pop-up bar last year. This one is located next to Jamba Juice on the Ewa end of the mall. I mean, it's pretty hard to miss at night. The drink menu had a lot of novelty drinks that aren't to my liking but thankfully, they did have two or three beers on tap for me so that was a plus :D They have free candies in bowls on the tables and also sold some light snacks too. We got the spinach artichoke dip that held us over until we could demolish a proper dinner later. Hehe. Anyway, big ups to the people running the place! It was a cool place to see!

Halloween has been one of my fave occasions, so I was excited to check out the new Halloween pop-up bar in Ala Moana. The Ghost Bar is another creation of the same team that brings the Haunted Plantation every year. The decor is very festive: There's an entire wall with freaky dolls, fake blood-splattered tables, skulls and skeletons, and even an empty coffin. They have a selection of themed drinks, most of which contain hard liquor. Beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, small snacks and Ice Monster shaved ice bowls are also available. We ordered a Syringe Shot with Vodka and strawberry syrup. You can also choose Patron or Jameson with lemon-lime or lychee syrups. The shot came in a syringe with a chaser. So cute but we didn't know how to drink it! When we figured it out, it was actually pretty tasty and fun to drink. So fun that we ordered another one! It was 3pm on a Monday. Let's just say that we walked out of there happy and loving everything about this place. Ghost Bar....Mauka side of Ala Moana next to Jamba Juice. Open Daily 2pm-Midnight. Go at night...it's definitely worth checking out!

Of course we had to try this place out before they closed, and it was a fun experience, but you can definitely tell it's just a pop up bar. The decorations were cute, but some of it was a little cheap looking, but overall fun decorations. The drinks and food were decently priced, but I would say get food somewhere else if you can wait until after. We got the Trick or Treat shareable drink, which is made for 2-4 people. There were just two of us, and that was a good amount, and the drink was actually pretty strong. We also got the Spinach Artichoke dip which wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special either. Overall it was a fun experience, and we just wanted to try it before they close. The drinks were all very festive, so if you're in the Halloween spirit then it's a great place to grab a drink at.

Its a fun little spot in the mall. I think the performers make the atmosphere. we played cards with the killer clown for a bit and taught him a new game. The drinks were tasty too. My friend had the syringe drink and I had the skeleton. They had some cool decorations and fun selfie spots. Id probably add a little more to the window dressing like torn semi transparent curtains, cobwebs or something. I think have tall clear windows where you can see the parking lot and sidewalk detracted from the atmosphere. Maybe more spooky light. But all and all it was decent to have a few drinks and play some fun games. I honestly was expecting a little more of a haunted house bar vibe but it was fun to check out and play cards with the performers.

When it comes to celebrating the spookiest season of the year, no other team in Hawaii does Halloween quite like Noa Laporga and Angelina Khan. As the creators of the scariest haunted house on Oahu, Haunted Plantation, they came together with Riki Kobayashi and Masaki Sasada and opened up the first ever Halloween pop-up bar in Hawaii. My husband and I headed over to Ghost Bar Honolulu for their Grand Opening at Ala Moana. From now until October 31,2018, this Halloween-themed pop-up bar will be open daily from 2pm-midnight. It is located on the 2nd floor, Ewa Wing next to Jamba Juice and Zara. You'll be able to spot the bright lights of Ghost Bar from the parking lot! With spooky decorations all around the bar, you'll feel the Halloween spirit rush in as soon as you enter. There's even a clown doing magic card tricks - such a fun and interactive experience! The fun begins when you order your Halloween-inspired cocktails! From drinks like the Faceless Lady, Killer Clown, Witches' Brew, Grim Reaper, Vampire Bite, to the Haunted Plantation, and many more. Each drink is special with its own Halloween twist - all are definitely insta-worthy and tasteful! They even have beers on tap (Stella Artois was our pick), wines, non-alcoholic beverage, and treats! Also, you don't have to say Trick-or-Treat because there is already a bowl of candy at each table! The tables are treat ready. My drink of choice was the Killer Clown ($10) with horchata rum cream liqueur, coconut rum, milk, whipped cream, and ube powder. It tasted just like a milkshake and was delicious! Also, it comes with a clown nose which you're able to keep, put on, and participate in the Halloween theme if you came unprepared. My husband had the Haunted Plantation ($8) with vodka, sweet tea, and pineapple juice which comes with a glow stick. We both really enjoyed this drink - fruity and very refreshing! It hits like a champ - not too strong but gave Reid a nice buzz. This was our first time going to a Halloween-themed bar and it was definitely a unique experience. We had a great time seeing all of the decorations and tasting the Halloween-inspired cocktails. If you're looking for something fun to do with friends for the month of October, check out the Ghost Bar Honolulu!

Ghost bar is a collaboration between Ichiriki and Haunted Plantation. The menu is simple- Halloween themed drinks (with very little alcohol) and snacks (from Costco). Spirits- Faceless lady ($7) Shochu, lemon-lime soda, lychee syrup, and a splash of rice milk Killer Clown ($10) Horchata run cream liqueur, coconut rum, milk, whipped cream and ube powder Witches' Brew ($12) Sour apple schnapps, tequila, lemon-lime soda and lemon juice Haunted Plantation ($8) Vodka, sweet tea and pineapple juice Grim Reaper ($12) Dark rum, blackberry brandy, cherry whiskey and ginger ale Pumpkin Pie ($9) Horchata rum cream liqueur, vodka, pumpkin puree, milk, whipped cream, pie crust crumble, and candy pumpkin Green Lady ($7) Shochu, lemon-lime soda, melona syrup, and a splash of rice milk Vampire Bite ($8) Lime gin, blue curacao, cranberry juice and grenadine Skeleton ($12) Whiskey, ginger ale, honey syrup, and lemon juice Trick-or-Treat Bowl ($25) light rum, lime gin, vodka, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, lilikoi syrup, and grenadine Syringe Shot ($8) Grey Goose, Patron, or Jameson with strawberry, lemon-lime or lychee syrup Draft Beers- Asahi, Kirin, Stella $6 (with or without food coloring) Wine- Chardonnay, Merlot $7 Treats- Pretzels, Mixed Nuts, Edamame, Spinach Artichoke Dip with Crackers ($5 each) I ordered a Killer Clown ($10) Horchata run cream liqueur, coconut rum, milk, whipped cream and ube powder. It was delicious! My BF ordered a Syringe Shot ($8) Grey Goose and lychee syrup. It comes with lemon-lime soda for the chaser. She said the lychee syrup was terrible. She ordered a beer to forget and came back with a Trick or treat bowl. Trick-or-Treat Bowl ($25) light rum, lime gin, vodka, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, lilikoi syrup, and grenadine. Jungle juice right? The pineapple juice was overwhelming. (YOU GET TO KEEP THE BOWL) I'M A CHEAP DATE. I'm usually buzzed after one glass of wine, especially on an empty stomach. So the fact that I drank a whole Killer Clown and half the Trick-or-Treat Bowl and did not have a buzz. . . Our friends ordered Faceless ladies ($7) and enjoyed them. I took a sip and it was tasty. A friend came late and ordered the Witches' Brew ($12) Sour apple schnapps, tequila, lemon-lime soda and lemon juice. It comes with a light at the bottom and the square (which resembles ice) takes up most of the glass. We ordered pretzels, dip, and edamame and joked that they should also offered Costco pizza and hot-dogs. There's also a shave ice vendor- Ice Monster for the kids but lets keep it real, there's not a lot of space in this place so leave the kids at home. We were told that after 8 pm, actors from the Haunted Plantation come in and interact with the crowd. We came at 4:30 and waited a few minutes until a table cleared out. When we left at 6, the place was slammed. Luckily, there is long bar area to stand and enjoy drinks (tables and booths are limited). The drinks COME FAST (be sure to display your order number since the table and the number is black) and you will wake up feeling in the Halloween spirit with NO HANGOVER THE NEXT DAY.

Lucky to get here before the month ends but I will be honest and say that it was just OK for me. Located Mall Level between Nordstroms and Jamba Jucie.... back side/near the ramp up from Piikoi. They have interesting decor, some freaky (like the dolls) and some that are standard for Halloween. Seating is limited to maybe about 12 tables with a standup bar area. Upon walking in, you will notice that there is large menu posted of about 10-14 different drinks. Since much of it has a Halloween name, you have to chit chat with the host to find out what is exactly in there. I ordered the "SKELETON".... which ready SKELETON 12, only to realize later that its a Skeleton for $12 LOL. This was a mix of Whiskey, Ginger Ale, Honey Syrup and Lemon Juice. The Whiskey was strong but the ginger and honey did soften the taste. Maybe it would have been alittle more fun if I was dressed up for a Halloween Party but its a unique experience and live is about experiences. Go out and experience this fun little place.

I got invited to check the grand opening of the new pop up Ghost Bar at Ala Moana next to Jamba Juice. It's from the same team that created the UNLOCKED Escape Room, Zombie Apocalypse at Ward and the Haunted Plantation in Waipahu. It's a perfect after meal fun time for this upcoming Halloween season. Who wouldn't want to be served by a killer clown or a psycho butcher! The killer clown even does card tricks! Open tables and bar has free Halloween candy in the traditional peanuts and pretzels. I'm being generous with my stars because I actually had a lot of fun and my drink was delicious!

I love pop up bars, we decided to stop by here after doing the Chinatown Halloween block party. We decided to grab a drink and we were in our costumes so why not! Line was long to get in, but it was a Saturday and everyone was celebrating Halloween so it was expected. We didn't have a place to sit but we didn't mind standing, luckily we didn't have to wait in line to order a drink, one of the staff came over and took our order as we we're standing. We decided to split the Trick or Treat bowl, meant for four people, and a pumpkin pie drink. I'm not sure if it was because we were busy but our drinks were strong enough for us! The decorations inside were fun such as the moving paintings, clown wall, wall of dolls and such. Our drinks came to a total of $34 which wasn't too bad considering we drank for five people. I would say come and enjoy the Halloween spirit and grab a drink, come a bit early so you have a seat. Located next to Jamba juice ground level.

Same like before, you check their weekly offerings, email your selections at the latest, the day before, and schedule when you'd like to pick up your order, usually on a Wednesday. C4 offers a rotating selection of meals to go that are delicious, delightful and sized just right. These are not humongous servings but just right for most. Recently, we had jasmine scented steamed opakaka w/Choy sun and mushrooms. It smelled flavorful when we received it and tasted as such when we ate it later. C4's hearts of palm coconut gazpacho: now the closest I've come this type of soup is a cold potato soup, but this soup was so much more tasty and refreshing. Perfect that it was not a cold evening to try it, it was delicious and decadent, but not heavy. A delicious starter. We were able to try the roasted 3 potato salad as an accompaniment, this was not your typical local potato salad but rather a more tangy lighter salad w/o the heavy local Mayo toss (just right for no Mayo, Fran C). I can see this one going with sandwiches too. Yum! Of course, the sweet finale has to be their flavored gummies, we are partial to their pog and strawberry gummies. Lechon, I must say was also a fine example of how seriously the chefs take their selection of ingredients - as I looked closer, it had the classic 5 layers (shown in my photo). Pretty good experience overall. I had made a reservation for opening for two on a Tuesday. We were promptly seated then we ordered from our phones after scanning their QR code on a sign on our table. We ordered four things: two appetizers and two mains. For our two appetizers, we got the lumpia look fun and the ilocos empanada bahn xeo. The two mains were utog burger and pancit pad see ew. The lumpia look fun tasted good, but I don't think I would get it again. I'm used to getting look fun in Chinatown and eating homemade lumpia. I didn't think the combination was profound for the price point. As for pancit pad see ew, I think I would have wanted to taste more of the "pancit" than the pad see ew. For me, it tasted too strongly of soy sauce, and I think I'm used to flavors closer to pancit or beef chow fun, so I couldn't quite enjoy or finish it. Would like it to be less salty and have more wok hey served hotter. Of the four, I enjoyed the utog burger and the ilocos empanada the most. I liked that the utog burger wasn't too salty and the bun held up. I absolutely love the garlic shoestring fries that went with it. The ilocos empanada was delicious, within my expectations of what ilocos empanada is (after trying some of the ones made in Waipahu) but in good balance with the lettuce. Definitely would like to have the utog burger or ilocos empanada again and try the other mains!

Tried a few items: Utog Burger - surprised how good this was. Reminds me of a better version of the Big Mac! If you look burgers, you won't be disappointed. Lumpia Look fun - soft on the outside and crispy on the inside. Wifey liked this one the best. Also very good. Banh - taste like a Vietnamese/Filipino fusion. The cheese shell gave it another twist. Pancit/see ew- a bit too salty. Shrimp portions were good tho . But the Thai version is better IMO. I'd skip this one next time. This dish was meh. Service was good. You order thru the app. Can also do take out. Easy process. Similar ambiance to your average china town spot. Overall solid 4/5.

We were told that the first batch would be served about 11 a.m. so we quickly put our order in. The first thing that caught my attention, was the savory aroma of their 5-spice ground pork being cooked. You can add this as a topping to the noodle dish. The second thing that caught my attention, was the labor of love going in to each order of fresh pulled noodles. You can watch him stretch the dough ball and slap it on the counter before he boils each batch with careful preparation. The third thing that caught my attention, was their adorable mother, helping to slice the cucumbers and top each dish with crushed iso peanuts. Do not forget to order the side of pickled bittermelon....so good!! From beginning to end, this was an incredible experience of all my senses! To see and hear them at work and then to taste the delicious sesame sauce on the fresh pulled noodles....WOW! The soft noodles, the crisp bittermelon, and the savory sauce....super delish! Seriously, go early to place your order. The wait is totally worth it :) Will come back next time to try other menu items.

When we went, the menu focused on udon: +Hot Yamakake Udon with Quail Egg (a special) +Cold Yamakake Udon (a special) +Hot Udon +Cold Udon The special udon dishes are servied with tororo (grated mountain yam), housemade tsukudani (seaweed braised in a sweet Japanese sauce), crispy nori, green onions, and an option to add wasabi. We went for both the hot and cold udon specials - I think it was a consensus that we would have liked to have more noodles in the dish. This is definitely a sweeter dish, with the tororo and the tsukudani. The place already had a long line, and the best way to enjoy would be to dine-in. Note that if you do order a carry-out, the quail egg would not be included. +ordering online is available +changing menu of noodle dishes +popup at Fishcake

We ordered the Scallop Carpaccio, the Nairagi Crudo (striped marlin), the Spaghetti Arrabbiata, the Gnocchi Mapolonese, and the Char Siu Pork. While every dish dazzled us, the Nairagi Crudo, containing sliced marlin, Calabrian chili crisp, charred eggplant, and mint, was our favorite. Elise, our server, was extremely attentive and helpful. It turned out to be a memorable evening. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommended! Before tipping, we spent $176 for a two-person meal (no alcohol, no dessert, 2 mocktails, 2 appetizers, 2 pastas, and 1 protein).

The scallops were good because brown butter makes everything good. But the salad was anti climactic. Our main dishes were good but never wowed- and it felt like the menu never gave you a true idea what you were ordering so its kind of a blind order. I did like my take on the Vietnamese noodles though. The drinks were strong but meh. I remember it being enjoyable but its not memorable or recommendable. The desert Carrot Cake was a huge disappointment. Maybe its just not for me? We left a good half of it behind... The service was very good. Maybe not the most attentive but when it came around it was great and friendly, and very professional. I would go again if someone wanted to go, but I don't think ill return on my own accord
