You can tell they have built great rapport amongst their customers based off their interactions and conversations. This speaks for itself. This place is soooo good! The customer service is great; everyone working there was super nice and walked me through ordering! I got 8 garlic parm and 8 buffalo. Both were super flavorful, and all of the wings were cooked perfectly. I also got the Cajun fries and onion rings, and I will definitely be ordering both of them again as well! The fries were perfectly seasoned and the onion rings had the perfect crunch. Only warning I would give is it does take a hot second to get your order since everything is made fresh, so make sure you aren't in a hurry when ordering (which I'm so glad they have signs pointing this out). Ordered some for super bowl weekends. It's the best decision I've made in a while. The wings were crispy perfection! perfectly season and sauced. I love the gold wings, I've tried the Asian heat and teriyaki which was a little too sweet for me. The gold is by far the best. The naked was crispy perfection and nicely season! The rolls are drench in honey butter so your better off making this a cheat meal! The service is great they are always super friendly, everyone was wearing masks properly. The price and value you can't beat. Ghot Wingz is probably one of my go-to places. My only complaint is it's pretty hard to see the location. Little place where you don't expect their wings are very good! They are very busy and you want to call ahead to order the stuff, otherwise you need to wait in the car for 30 min or so. We ordered 12 pc wings with 2 different sauces. Both sauces were very nice. But only the thing is they put all 12 pc 2 sauces into one box, so we were not able to tell which one is which sauces, and some wing got sauces mixed up. Lets talk about how extensive their sauce list is, and how they happily give 2 ranch or blue cheese on the side. Yes, I know this shouldn't be a concern at a wings place, but it is. For a chicken shop tucked away in an old retail building in East Nashville, this place is pretty busy. Most people call in orders ahead of time, which I recommend because they're a carry out window store with nowhere to sit and eat. Since I've never been, I ordered at the window. There are several flavors to choose from, but the number of flavors you can choose depends on the number of wings you order. Pretty standard. I ordered 12 wings, 6 lemon pepper and 6 extreme heat. Lemon pepper is my go-to, and I wanted to test out how spicy extreme heat actually was. Wait time was short, and the staff shows you the order before handing it off to you (kind of like when you do pizza carry-out). Once I got home and ate, I was definitely satisfied. Wings were a good size and cooked well. Extreme heat was definitely hot, just on the edge of being too spicy for me. However, I knew what I was getting into, and the sauce actually had a nice tangy kick. Spicy, but good flavor. I have a higher spice tolerance so definitely don't order that sauce if you don't. Ive had them for the first time at a Super Bowl party at my cousins house and it was Catered. Then went back today. It was hitting to perfection and finger licking good. 3.5 I don't know if it's the time of year, but I am really craving wings all of a sudden. I found myself driving down Gallatin, slightly hungry and wanting to try something new (to me). I'd heard of Ghot Wingz for a while but I'd never paid attention to where it was. Seeing the sign jut out in to the road was just what I needed to pull in to the lot (plentiful parking), walk in and order. This is a to-go establishment but the waiting area is fairly comfortable. There are a few chairs, a jumbo fan (for those hot September nights; thanks, climate change), a TV, and a Ms. Pac-Man machine (which doesn't offer free games; that was a slight bummer). Take some time to study the menu before ordering. The folks behind the counter are busy so you don't want to gum up the works. Wanting a direct comparison to my other (newfound) wings gem, I ordered 12 wings (naked, 6 hot garlic parmesan, 6 honey bourbon) and Cajun fries. The price wasn't bad and thanks to shelter, a large fan and a television distraction, my wait time seemed like no time. Before I left, I was shown my order, given napkins and sent on my way. Orderly, efficient system but, to be fair, there were 5-6 people behind the counter. That's much different from a one-man band. I got home and my first problem was that, despite the similar price, I was given less fries than at the Beautifully Winged competition. No me gusta. Secondly, the fries didn't taste good at all. They weren't fresh. More than half were either soggy or burned to a crisp. They had no flavor (despite being 'Cajun'). Even if I weren't comparing them to my other wings joint, I would advise to not order these. They were disappointing from quantity to quality. Now, to the main event. The wings were a good size but... they had no discernible flavor. I couldn't tell the hot garlic parm from the honey bourbon. They were both doused in a sugary sweet red sauce that was fairly one-note. Because the American palate skews sweet, the wings were (more than) edible but there wasn't much there there for me. If you told me I was eating 12 Carolina BBQ wings, I would have believed you. That's a problem. Things should taste like things. The intangibles (nice ladies behind the counter, low wait time, decent-if-not-what-I-thought-I-ordered wings) bump the 3.5 to 4 but there are better wings out there* -- and definitely better fries. *Maybe I ordered the wrong ones? read more
