Good wings. Good seasoning. Wings are a bit small but well cooked. I give it a B+. The blaring TV for employees was a bit much. Get it to go.

Workers are very nice people. Wings on Tuesday are $.69, we got 24 and fries, paid $27 with tip. I like the buffalo sauce but it's not a traditional buffalo sauce, and they were a little too saucy for my preference. Lemon pepper are amazing, would like to try a medium lemon pepper some time. Bleu cheese could be improved. So far, these are the best wings in Nashville.

Food is so amazing and the people who work here are so nice! The kool aid is some of the best I've ever had! Everything was on point!

Wings are my favorite food, so I'm a stickler about them for sure! Strikeout wings are hands down the best I've ever had!! The Cajun lemon pepper was out of this world!!! The crisp, the freshness, everything was beyond excellent! The koolaid-Rita was delicious, and perfect for a hot day! I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, and they are such good people! Definitely a place I'll go to EVERY TIME I'm in Nashville!!

My husband and I came here excited to try some authentic Tennessee BBQ and everything was honestly so good. I got the brisket with baked beans and mac & cheese, while my husband got the chicken with green beans and baked beans. First off... the brisket was SO tender and juicy. It paired perfectly with the BBQ sauce and those baked beans? OH MY GOD. The baked beans were seriously the star of the meal for me.. sweet, smoky, flavorful, and completely addicting. I could've eaten a whole bowl by myself The mac & cheese was also creamy and delicious, just solid comfort food all around. My husband loved his chicken too. Super juicy, flavorful, and not dry at all which is always a win with BBQ chicken. I also tried the Tennessee Sour and let me just say... they do not play around with drinks out here It was really good, but one more and I probably would've been done for the night lol. The hospitality here was amazing. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot we'd come back to anytime we're in Nashville again. Thank you for such a great first BBQ experience in Tennessee! :)

We got the chicken tender combo (mild spice), leg and thigh combo (southern spice), chicken salad (southern spice), and chicken sandwich (damn hot spice). The mild spice was the perfect amount for me and the damn hot definitely made my mouth burn lol. I have no bad things do say about this spot. It definitely lives up to the hype! Also loved the atmosphere with this location which was right on Broadway. The service was amazing and their playlist was fire.

It's my last night in Nashville so I want to go to a bang zoom restaurant. A few of my co workers have said to me: Mr Bill, we see every night you're going out to some amazing spots. Mind if we tag along? Sure, the rules are to keep your fork outta my plate when we sit down. Deal? The restaurant is very large, we're shown to our table. Set in the middle of the dining room and facing the bar. The bar can seat at least 25 people, the restaurant is set up for fun. To get our party started, I ordered a well crafted cocktail: Tea'd Up Old Fashioned Made with Bourbon, Black Tea and House Barrel Aged Bitters. Funky?? Oh yeah I'm with a bunch of Military Veterans and they're telling me their crazy stories. I'm sippin' my Old Fashioned and taking it all in, we need to bond over drinks and crazy things we all drank overseas. As an adult, I can appreciate my Nashville TN Old Fashioned with Black Tea. While we're talking, our waitress drops off a plate of homemade biscuits. The biscuits are fire! Buttery, flakey and moist, The Southern Steak & Oyster can make a damn good biscuit. Next, my Gumbo comes to me. The first taste I can tell this is a chef'd up dish. Better than anything I had in New Orleans. This gumbo is filled with Andouille, Crawfish, Shrimp and Fried Okra. Very flavorful indeed. My last entree in Nashville will be Fish 'N Grits. Fresh fish topped with Spicy Tasso Ham over Sweet Potato Grits and Bacon Braised Cabbage. This is a flavorful dish, the grits are very creamy and the cook on the fish was spot on. We had a great night at The Southern Steak & Oyster, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

On one visit with only a few of us there our bartender disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Upon his return he was focused on everything but the 5 of us in the place until we finally had to ask to get service. The other visit everyone helped me but the actual server. Maybe this is a staffing problem, I don't know but being stuck for 20 minutes to order another drink with my meal is not acceptable. Although they had that check in my hand in under a minute and in under another minute to process. Again, super nicer people, but kind of oblivious. 2) Now let's talk about the kitchen. And I'm adding some input from the other diners because we all sat there waiting. - flavors are great, but the salt and spice level is overboard. I had the mushroom appetizer and nearly choked/coughed to death. I like heat but this was raw spice that overpowered the dish. And the salt about made my feet swell into balloons. Such a shame because the idea is great just poor execution - deviled eggs. Pass - BBQ Shrimp, sort of like the mushrooms right profile but overpowering - gumbo. Two other people had the gumbo and when I asked they said that too is just over spiced I want to like this place, but probably my last visit unless I just come for oysters. Sorry

It was very creamy and filling! The only thing that would have been nice was some vegetarian options. Even the salads had meat, which I get, it's Tennessee after all! I order red the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad and my wife had the Sesame Crunch Salad. Our server seemed like she was doing us a favor by refilling our water glasses, and not once did she check in to see if we needed anything. My salad's hot chicken was tasty, but way overloaded with blue cheese chunks and dressing. My wife's salad was very good, with lots of flavor, and nicely seared tuna. I asked for our check, and she never said a word to us, just brought the check. Overall, I don't think we will come back.
