You'll be eating wonderful food made in Buffalo
    Jim G.

Spaghetti, meatballs, Italian sausage in famously delicious sauces that are so good that today the restaurant was full and had to turn people away! Having just re-opened in a spruced-up setting, it was gratifying to see Buffalo's welcoming response to this landmark restaurant. New management took over but didn't sacrifice quality or scrimp on portions. The same wonderful sauces we've loved for decades are back! You'll enjoy a traditional relaxing Italian meal that is not rushed. They're not trying to flip tables. You can enjoy fine beverages including beer and wine from their full bar along with your company. Bread and butter is provided while you wait. Save room for gelato for dessert. You'll really love this gelato. BTW - they proudly service locally produced foods, including ravioli, Italian sausage, and gelato. The restaurant is on Niagara Street at Lafayette, which is currently closed to through traffic. Bus riders can reach the restaurant on #5, #40 (from Niagara Falls), and #26 Delavan (a short walk from Delavan and Niagara St).

We are sooo thrilled that Santasiero's is back!! Such a Buffalo institution with such history! The new Owners respected the tradition and have the original recipes including the incredible 'gravy'. They enhanced the ambiance with taste and class by refreshing the space and architecture and made some nice new touches with natural light in the back room and added a side patio. Also love the historic family pics on the walls. The food was great! The best part is that not much changed with it......as we wanted what it always was! But actually the chicken for the chicken parm was better and the wine menu is enhanced. We will be back many times and look forward to bringing our family in also for Sunday Sauce! Thank you so much for bringing back a Buffalo icon!!

They're back after a lengthy closure due to a death in the family. Let's show our support by visiting them, especially if you missed them as much as I did! Same quality food at reasonable prices and same cozy atmosphere! Attentive service but not rushed. This is where locals go to dine and take their most important guests. Not a tourist trap. It's good to have this legendary restaurant back on the scene! They are a long time favorite of mine. Reservations accepted for tables of 8 or larger. Takeout is available again too! Everything is just as good as it always was.

Just showing you the atmosphere of the restaurant

Highly recommend for old school Italian. Huge portions, classic Italian restaurant feel, good mine selection too.

There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.

The second I picked it up, I could smell all the delicious meats and toppings. The pizza was loaded with savory meats, melted cheese, and that signature olive salad with briny olives, peppers, garlic, and herbs. The combination was incredible: salty, tangy, savory, and packed with flavor without being overwhelming. The dough was perfectly chewy with just the right amount of crispness around the edges, and it held up beautifully under all those toppings. I'd love to see this special get a permanent spot on the menu. It was just over $30, but definitely worth it. And now I have pizza for lunch for the next few days, so I'm calling that a win!

So it was a pleasant surprise when a friend and I decided that we'd stop by. This was their first time here and admittedly I was happy because they haven't had many pleasant food experiences in Buffalo. I believe they haven't been going to the best places but that's another conversation for another day. Okay so let's dig into the experience. We were running late and arrived at approximately 9:40 pm. I was nervous that we'd either a) be turned away or b) not get the best service since it was so close to the time that they closed. Let me be the first to say that that was not the case at all. We were seated in the most perfect little nook tucked away near the door. Dimly lit but cozy for good vibes and good food. Our server Megan came over and she was truly delightful. She provided really great recommendations. It was the perfect mix of personal reccs, insight on bestsellers, and answers to our mainy questions. We ultimately settled on two pizzas, fried rice, and a buyer (not pictured). The food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were incredible and the service was undeniable. Special shoutout to Megan again for offering a one of a kind experience. Misc: There's a parking lot next door to the building never knew. Prices are a tad steep but the vibes are good. Kitchen closes at 10. Check hours before going. Fried rice is a tad spicy but delicious. Drinks are perfect! I can't wait to go back :]
