Update: I had my second service today with Megan; a full highlight/color correction. She's absolutely amazing! I love the results. I'm a blonde and any blonde knows that there are various shades of blonde and getting the right shade is so important. She agreed that my hair needed to go from the warm/gold shade to a more cool/pale shade and was able to achieve that easily. It's very clear that she's very experienced at highlighting and coloring and in my opinion a true artist. She really has talent and passion and it shows in her work. In addition to being an excellent stylist, Megan is an incredibly easy person to have conversation with and time flew by as we chatted away. If you're looking for a new stylist, I say take the leap and give Megan a shot and you won't be disappointed! I'm so so happy I found her... she's a gem! read more

After being a client at the Bicentennial location for a few years, I had a Tuesday appointment -- scheduled weeks in advance -- canceled via phone call the Friday before. The reason given by a receptionist: that I had been "disrespectful to staff," with zero specific examples offered. I asked for the manager to call me. She never did. For context, I had previously experienced a poor haircut, highlights that caused breakage, and another time was kept waiting 30+ minutes for an appointment -- an issue the manager herself acknowledged and issued a credit toward future services. Apparently raising legitimate service concerns is considered disrespectful here. This salon has a pattern of banning clients who complain rather than addressing problems. Management hides behind receptionists instead of having direct conversations. Do yourself a favor and read the other negative reviews before booking -- the pattern is consistent. I was never rude. I expected accountability. If that's disrespectful, that tells you everything you need to know about how this salon handles feedback. I would encourage Aveda corporate to take note of how their brand is being represented here. read more

The cut was great she cleaned up my bob and we discussed the plan for the color service the following week. She is precise and does a great job of listening and understanding what the end result I was trying to achieve was! If I could give this salon zero stars I would! It used to be so much better but has greatly gone downhill! First, I was told to leave my $800 weft only to have it stolen by someone working there! No one even called me about it! Not even the manager, Jessica. Second, my favorite stylist left and they wouldn't tell me know where she went. Thankfully I have now tracked Nicole Fox down at her new salon! Lastly, when I got my hair done the last time at GVR by someone else, the cut was so bad and cost $600 for a few nightlights, and my own extensions I brought in to be applied! $600?!? When I found Nicole she took me immediately to fix the mess! This Aveda GVR salon is beyond bad!!! What happened for this salon to go so downhill and charge what you do for such bad work? The first time, FEB 2023 the girl at the front was really nice but had no idea about their products (I was looking for liter-sized bottles, which they didn't have, but now apparently carry). Bought nearly $200 in products, they said their system was down and they couldn't log the points w/ the rewards program, but that they would do so in the next day or two. Went in a second time, got a pretty hair cut from Georgie and would definitely return. Again, the girls at the front desk were really nice. However, two months later, I'm looking at my rewards account and the points didn't show up. I called to the Inspirada location b/c their website said phones are still answered on Mondays. I am forwarded to the GV location and told that they can't help me, I'm calling the GV location, and I need to call Aveda directly to have them log the points. Unfortunately, this salon is continuing the long-present trend of spotty customer service. read more
