Jenn did such an amazing job on my hair omg I still can't believe how blonde we got it after one session. When I walked in I had the worst grey roots , copper orange under that and just a hot mess. I got my hair butchered and fried at another salon 7 months ago trying to go lighter and she fried my hair off so I was very skeptical coming into another salon . I'm like a million years overdue writing this for Katie and this place! I've been seeing Katie for years after finding this salon on Yelp. I searched through almost 10 places around the Silverado Ranch/Green Valley area and called to book an appointment. I asked for Katie because I had read about her on Yelp and quickly booked an appointment. She's great though so plan to book 3-4 weeks out especially with the pandemic just to be safe. There are plenty of times she's been able to get me in sooner, but it all depends on your schedule and how flexible you are! Katie has taken me on a roller coaster journey of hair from light/medium brown and very long to short and extremely blonde! We even put some purple in my blonde for Life is Beautiful last year. She's a goddess with hair but is also extremely honest with what is realistically possible for your hair and if it will look great. You NEED that in a hair stylist. I highly recommend going to see Katie and even the ladies around her all seem great. Her prices are very fair and I usually am paying between $120-$150 depending on how much she did and then a 20%-30% tip because she deserves it! Every time I'm in there, someone is dyeing their hair purple, pink, blue, green, etc. so if you're looking to do that, this place is also a great choice and so is Katie! First, her defensive attitude should have been a clue that this will not go well. Sure enough, Extremely disappointed both with the outcome and way over priced $250 plus tip. She was just suppose to do the top but then colored ininner layers Black stating that is the natural color. Uh No! Natural color is brown!! Now the blond on top of black looks ridiculous! She needs to get over herself bec this is amateur work!! Beware people... This is my response to you, Taylor. We relied on your professional judgement and skills which was obviously a huge mistake. Hair looked just ok when you finished though it was dark out and couldn't really see it. As you can see in the pic, it was taken the next day. Do you really think it looks great?!! I also don't appreciate you saying that we were too cheap to pay for more work!! $250 plus tip!! What you want for such unprofessional work? 4 months later. Well..Charmaine my hair looks like hell. I went in for color and came out with sheared hair. I have thin hair and as soon as Charmaine could she couldn't get those shears in her hand fast enough. I heard the noise and I'm like what are you doing? she goes "Oh I'm thinning out your hair." WOW! Story time, I have been bleaching all my hair white since I was 16 (I am old now lol) well during Covid I thought I was a professional and decided to bleach my roots at home... first mistake... I was able to correct it with more bleach and than some more bleach and of course some toner.. Well, come March 2021 my hair had finally given up and started to break and break and break (I mean ovi) so I just put a band-aid on it and dyed it brown my natural hair color. Long story short lol from March until today I have been trying to save my hair with all the treatments you can think of and please KNOW cutting my hair was NEVER an option for me not since I was born, not even a trim...Until yesterday when I said I AM DONE. So I pulled up Yelp, called Liquid hair salon asked for a walk in and took a jump(I had to be impulsive or else I would never do it). From the moment I called this salon its amazing the receptionist was so sweet and helpful but THAN out comes the CUTEST little hair dresser ROSA, she sat down with me and LISTENED to my entire history of hair like really sat down and talked with me! I am pretty sure I scared her because I didn't want to cut my hair short, NEVER in my life did I have or want short hair I was convinced I had a long fat face hahah. (I am more scared of a bad hair cut than a bad color job.) but I was so done with the extreme breakage and being scared to even brush or wash my hair knowing hair was just falling out so much each time, it just got exhausting. Rosa was so UPLIFTING telling me short hair is going to be cute on me and my face shape is great haha just really really really positive giving me the confidence to know later that I am not regretting this choice. LET ME TELL YOU SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I went from having hair length past my boobs to now right below my chin and I LOVE IT, it feels so much better and it LOOKS so much better and healthy again. She cut it perfect you guys, like celeb status hair cut! I really can go on and on about her, even when she was cutting my hair I was never worried, she made me feel comfortable the entire process! I used to go to another hair colorist in town, but when I went back for another ombre.. either he forgot to add the olaplex or the process, itself.. completely killed my healthy strands of hair. I had to cut it not once, but three times to get the dead, fried ends that looked like long spider legs going in every direction! It looked horrible, completely frizzy and dried up. Even my hairstylist that cut my hair told me it's completely fried that's why it looks like that. I didn't feel good to pay top dollar for a shitty job that wasn't well done the second time around. He did, however get the color I wanted, but for me to go through that bs and ruin my healthy hair was quite a disappointment to experience. Even two of my coworkers went to him and had the same experience and we all no longer go there. I found Amy Kiser from my eyelash extension girl and I liked her hair color. Mind you, she changes her hair color every 3 weeks. She told me great things about her, so I made an appointment to give her a try. She has her own sense of style, idea, creation of color. She has this master plan already strategically made before I arrive in what we're doing to my hair. Be open to her suggestions and you can have some fabulous dimensions of color. Our first session was a miracle. She achieved a high contrast blonde! Even though my roots were black! Obscene, I know. I couldn't believe my eyes either!!! Make sure you ask her to put your head out of the wash bowl when you're resting after putting some toner on. It was complete torture for the back of my neck, since it was hitting my pressure points so painfully. I felt like it was sucking all my energy source and completely drained the life out of me. I desperately tried to rest my head left and right, but it didn't do anything for me. My last session I told Amy.. it hurts like hell resting my head in this water bowl. She told me I can take my head out and she adjusted the water bowl. What a difference that made. Crucial to ask, because you're going to be there for a few hours!!! Beware ;) What I love about Amy is simply this.. she genuinely cares about my hair condition. Olaplex is generously applied and my hair never felt so healthy and shiny! Soft as a feather.. EVERYTIME. My hair has grown without any struggle and it's strong! For a process of coloring to the extreme of ash blonde. It came out beautiful and a job well done. I've had endless of compliments and inquiries on her work. I couldn't be more happier with the results of color and condition of my hair. It took three sessions to get the color I wanted to achieve without damaging my hair in the process. So be patient if the color you want is beyond lighter than your natural hair color! For the price she charges for all that she does.. I kick myself for going to someone that charged me double and then some! One of the best prices for hair coloring in town and her technique is flawless. She tells me why she put this in my hair and why she made this section darker, lighter, and so forth. Everything has a reason for her application. My third and last session I had with Amy. She gave my blonde some dimensions of high and low contrast. Making this illusion of dark to light then back to dark in sequence. I ended up loving it more than just being a ordinary blonde! And I didn't even tell her what I wanted. I let her do what she does best. Sometimes that's the way to go! Easygoing, personable, loves to chat it up. She's spunky like full of spirit and ready to conquer this game of hair color wars. The salon, itself is located in the heart of Henderson. It's on S. Eastern Ave., between W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy. and Sunridge Heights Pkwy. Once you see Anthem Dental and Martial Arts sign, turn into that business complex. There's also a Village Pub in the same area! Clean, well-lit with sunshine, airy, open, spacious! Like anything in Vegas, I got referred to Lena by going clubbing :p Met a girl with the most amazing haircut/color and chatted her up about her hair. And she said Lena was the best. After a ridiculous St. Patty's weekend, I went in needing a good cut and a good cup of coffee. They had both in store for me!
