Used these guys several times (which I regret but the last time was terrible. They ruined several pieces of furniture by taping with brown tape directly onto the painted wood. The crates my glass top and when I took the crate off there was a chip on the edge. Several other pieces had broken chips in the furniture. Poor work all around. See photos read more

I used Gigi movers many years ago and thought they were great. Well this time I used them and they were beyond horrible. 90% of my furniture was damaged. They wrapped the furniture in paper not blankets. When I contacted the owner he apologized and sent me $500. Stating that is the max refund. It's in the contract. The delivery men were very low class and one of them was very nasty to the other man. I allowed them to use my bathroom and they left urine on the floor I am left with a solid teak dining room table damaged beyond repair read more

This is company used to be very good...used them 20 yrs ago and had no issues...but now I used them again and they DESTROYED my furniture, 50% of all my stuff was damaged and I can't get anything for it. Unbelievable how they threw stuff and did not cover furniture, which I paid for extra! And in the process damaged sofa bed/couch which was so badly damaged I had to put it on the curb ( broke my heart) ...and I know people are saying it's just materialistic, but some things were sentimental. Awful don't ever use them...I am sending them a lawyers letter to suit them for damages. read more

The WORST car shipping experience I have EVER had. They damaged my car, SMOKED in it, then accused me of lying about it and refused to remedy it. I asked them to please make it right and they Iaughed about it and said "go ahead and just leave a bad review". Completely unethical company that doesn't care about your car or you as a human being. If you want a damaged car that reeks like cigarettes so strong it makes you gag, and this company calling you a liar, refusing to do anything about it, and literally taunting you, then use this company and that's exactly what you'll get. Not to mention my car arrived so disgustingly filthy it was barely recognizable. It was in shockingly horrible, atrocious condition. They were brokered to me through Amerifreight by the way, so I will never use that company again. And whenever I ship my car again I will always and forever ask the broker to make sure they blacklist Gigi Line from my car and my business. read more

Had a great experience with Walter and Gigi movers from start to finish. They were on time and on budget. Had a three room move from East Rockaway to Commack and they were done in three hours and the price I was quoted six weeks earlier was the price I paid, no gas adjustments or changes. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

I wish I could rate them with negative stars as I cannot begin to explain how BAD this company is, but here goes: 1. They did not complete the small move because one of the movers had a personal matter at 2pm in the afternoon. 2. While they stored our things overnight in their moving truck they were somehow damaged. 3. When they showed up the next day with our damaged furniture they chose to leave without delivering everything with the intention of selling it for their own profit (as told to me by the owner, Tony). Besides all of this incompetence Tony "Gigi" is an absolute hot-head who takes NO responsibility for the mistakes and un-professionalism of his moving teams. I used this company based on reviews from others. I was quoted one price for three men and was sent 4 for a larger cost without discussion from the owner. I had moved the same amount of furniture 5 years prior with no issues. This time it took Gigi 2 days to complete the move and I was charged for hours that they didn't work bc of their minimums. THe reason it took so long is that the movers talked a lot, took lots of breaks and took I don't know how long of a lunch break as they did it during travel time. When I called the owner to discuss, he gave me a terrible attitude and said if you don't like the way we do business you should use somebody else and hung up on me. All the negative reviews are spot on. They broke all my lampshades in my recent move, which was 1 block away, and they told me they had to cut the legs of my couch to get it in the door. I was quoted a price for a 5 hour move. I was billed for 6 hours. While they finished in 5 hours and 45 minutes, this included at least a 45 minute lunch. When I questioned the crew chief he said a 45 minute lunch is assumed in the quote. BS. Then he went on about all of the things he wasn't charging me for. More BS. All of the items had been discussed and were supposed to be factored into the original quote. The movers themselves were professional and hardworking. But getting slapped with that extra couple of hundred $$$ in the end left a bad taste in my mouth. Wouldn't use them again. read more

From the start Tony had me confused. But then I really thought he was confused. I'm an experienced professional working with Alzheimer's peeps & Yes. I thought maybe that's what this was all about. But further questions to his staff as well as conversations with him revealed that I'd been had!!!! Tony always never remembered our last conversation. Nor did he admit to being the owner who came to give me an estimate. He asked if it was his partner that I dealt with. Umm no. It was Tony!!! And the final amount was substantially different from his estimate. Even his movers taking our 40 boxes plus other stuff said it probably isn't more than 1200-1500lbs. Well. Wouldn't ya know. Tony calls me after pick up to say it'll now cost $2102 instead of $1200-1500. Btw. He called me nite before pick up to say it'll be delivered in Florida on the 12th of October. We agreed not until the 16th. That's another issue. Probably why he hiked my price!!! Do not use this guy. Btw. I'm posting now before I've received delivery so let's see how he delivers! Absolutely the worst moving experience that I ever had! The most unprofessional, bad attitude, only two workers showed up of the three that I Contracted for, they broke walls, Broke storage boxes, put my bed together incorrectly to the point of that I could've fallen through it, were rude and unapologetic. I wrote a whole long detailed exclamation of all the things that they did but I guess my post was too long. Suffice it to say please save yourself the money and the aggravation. Moving is stressful enough you do not want to have people in your house that make it even worse! A couple of examples include: two guys showing up instead of three (no explanation no apology), the rudest people I have ever interacted with, showed up with no boxes and no wrapping materials (despite promising to carefully wrap furniture) Piling artwork up on top of canvases. Please spend a little more to get the quality of that will make your Life easier. Moving is stressful enough! read more

These are really competent movers. Out of state move with a lot of arranging on both ends. Had to move quickly and Gigi helped through the whole process. The men were quick, thorough, polite and really knew what they were doing. Called 3 other big time movers who gave me outrageous quotes and no time frame. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I would give them a negative rating if possible. The owner who makes all the arrangements is not to be trusted. His favorite line is that he "does not recall telling you that". From dates to pricing he must have the world's "worst memory". I now understand why this company does not deal with email as a method of corresponding with their customers. GIGI moved my apartment to Florida April 2016. when i arrived in Florida, i noticed my front walkway had broken tiles (moving truck's ramp was just dropped on tiles cracking them), my 70 inch TV and it's stand were damaged, my computer's case was bent and several of my plastic 66 quart storage containers were cracked. I made several calls to GiGi. They refused to compensate. I spend $4000 on my move plus $400 in tips to driver and his workers. read more

I used Gigi movers for my large move. I have a 4 bedroom house with a den, living room, dining room, and basement. They came with 2 trucks and 6 great movers. I can tell after the first hr of watching them that they all had a lot of experience. They all knew what the next guy was doing with out talking about it. My estimate was with in 1 hr so I can say I was extremely happy about that. I was a nervous wreck and the guys worked with me all day and were super polite. Even throwing jokes in to make me laugh. My furniture was placed exactly where I wanted it at my new location. I couldn't ask for more reliable and better movers. On 3/20/13 We used GIGI for the 3rd time in the past 10 years. As usual they were on time, courteous, quick and neat. We had 190 boxes and lots of furniture and stuff and everything went extremely smooth. When it was all done we were able to sit back in our new home and knew that all our furniture and boxes were on the proper landing and in the correct room. This was a simple job, not much to figure out. They needed to pick something up In Connecticut and bring it to my storage facility in Baldwin. They flat out told me it was $110 an hour. The total hours it took them was 5 hours...they charged me for 6 1/2!!! The main guy kept yelling at me saying WHAT DONT YOU UNDERSTAND, ITS A 4 HOUR MINIMUM!!! um, ok but the job took 5 hours, so im over the minimum, why are you charging me for 6 1/2??? Again, he began screaming at me that he doesnt have to explain himself because he's tired. Very unprofessional, he spoke like a street thug and I actually felt sorry for him. Bottom line, they are scammers as many other have stated. I wish I had done my research before hiring them!! read more
