I have followed Steven around to every nail salon he's been at! And when he left the last place and I didn't know where he was, I almost cried when he finally called me to tell me he opened a new location! I went for months without getting my nails done because I only know his level of ownership, customer service and expertise! I won't get my nails done anywhere else! Michelle does my nails every two weeks and they stay amazing!!! Make an appointment because he never takes walk ins unless he has space and will never compromise someone's appointment for a walk in, which I think is amazing as most places are factories that jam in whoever they can take at the expense of someone's time and appointment! If you get a spa pedicure that gets a 10 minute massage, you get the ten minutes, instead of squeezing in another customer! I went to Gigi Nails for the first time today for a manicure and pedicure. My experience was wonderful! Everything was very clean and the staff was so kind and accommodating. I left very happy with my nails. Within an hour, I clumsily chipped one of my nails and they were able to see me again immediately to fix the nail! I couldn't be happier! You couldn't ask for a better experience. Steven, the owner, is wonderful and his staff is first class. The new salon is extremely clean and serene. I have now been there several times (at least every 2 weeks) since he took over and each experience has been perfect. Appointments are highly recommended. I'm SO happy he chose this location for his new endeavor, too. I use Paula - she's meticulous... but each and every one of his staff is top notch. You can't go wrong. There is no turnover... these employees stay. And Jenny gives a wonderful massage to each and every customer. It is gratis however tips are greatly appreciated. Steven has one of the smartest business acumen for a nail salon that I have ever seen. I am so happy I found this salon. I just moved to the area and for a while have been trying to find a good nail salon. It hasn't been easy to find a good place but I finally have at Gigi nail salon. All the staff are incredibly welcoming and very professional. They did an amazing job on my gel filling and gel color manicure. They make sure that you feel comfortable and welcome while having your treatment. The place is incredibly clean and pricing super reasonable. I already made my appointment for my next manicure. I wanted to try somewhere closer for me but I probably won't be back. I had to soak off the gel I had on from another nail salon, this was a glitter gel which I've never had an issue with soaking off before. The woman began filing my nails first, which I don't love so I asked her if she could skip the filing and just soak. She laughed at me and said "oh no we'll be here forever if I skip the filing and just soak because glitter gel is hard to get off". Well guess what lady, you couldn't get it off anyway. She soaked and filed so much I could hear my poor nails crying. As I've said before I've never had an issue with soaking off gel, even glitter gel. The only brands I find that are hard to get off are OPI and Essie which I steer clear from. Idk if their acetone isn't strong enough but it was ridiculous how long it took her. The only thing I liked was that she made the shape of my nails exactly how I asked and gave me a nice arm massage. It's been 9 days and my gel is cracking and doesn't look good. If I had gotten a lighter color it would be more noticeable but it's dark so only I can notice it. This use to happen when I went to the other Gigi nails in Chester heights which is why I stopped going. I'll stick to the salon I've been going to which last 3+ weeks. read more

This nail salon is fabulous! They always try to keep it serene and give you extras like parafin wax and massage so you feel like you're really getting your money's worth. They also use the more expensive polishes at no extra cost so that it lasts longer. Warning though- can only pay for chair massage and any tips with cash, which is annoying, and you pretty much ALWAYS need an appt to get in. read more

I have been to this salon several times and I always leave 100% satisfied. They are clean, organized, and welcoming. I have always scheduled an appointment first, as the shop is small, but I have never had to wait to be seen. They are so quick and efficient and it never ever feels like a rushed job. They have great deals on mani/pedi and that, along with my favorite nail tech, keeps me coming again and again. The perfect mani/ pedi comes to Tuckahoe! The owner and techs are very kind and accommodating. The salon is clean (instruments are autoclaved), and provides OPI and Zoya polishes and paraffin without an upcharge. Beautiful polish. The free back massage at the end of the service is professional level. Only downside is that it's almost impossible to get in without an appointment--but definitely worth planning ahead! read more

This place is amazing! Clean, efficient and all the "extras" that translates into a great experience. They only use brand name polishes, which makes a difference not only in the look and shine of the color but due to my experience in manufacturing overseas, I know that no name brands used at salons contain harmful chemicals and are not regulated by any standard. Three weeks after my gel manicure, my nails still look great - shiny, healthy and strong, other than the obvious grow out. The paraffin wax dip is included for the manicure in the winter! read more

AWESOME! so professional and a great experience! they take their time on their costumers. they use so many things in their basic mani/pedi that others would charge you extra for. make sure you call ahead for an appointment because they don't like "squeezing" people in just to make a quick buck. Outstanding experience !! I was recommended by my cousin to try them out. I was greeted by Steven who explained how everything works when I said I would like a mani/pedi. They paraffin your hands while you are getting your pedicure. The pedicure was heavenly!! They use a jelly substance hat you can choose from green tea or lavender. And everything is SUPER sterile. While getting my manicure I was massaged for about 20 minutes which was also amazing !!! Highly recommend to try them out ! And I forgot to mention this was all 30 bucks !! read more

I have been turned away from this nail salon twice. I was a frequent customer of the salon when it was under the previous owner and they NEVER turned away a customer. I commute to the city and this used to be my go-to place when I would catch an early train home. I walked in at 5:30 tonight when they close at 7 and was told "we can't do tonight we have appointments that are coming soon". It was also snowing so terrible idea to turn away any foot traffic. If you are appointments only make that clear. This is no way to run a business and there is PLENTY of other competition in the area. I would not be surprised if this place does not last and they definitely lost a customer tonight. read more

Stephen is the best at UV Gel - and Jenny gives the best back massages - and all of the girls are very good and professional at pedicures...this salon was a great find for me after trying many others in the area that I was not happy with. YES, they are a little more expensive than I have paid in the past, but the service, friendliness, cleanliness and complimentary back massage is WORTH IT. As long as this keeps up and Jenny keeps giving awesome back massages I will continue to go - do not forget to tip her - she is the BEST!!!!!! To the negative reviews who complained about "appointment only"....first of all why would you NOT want to make an appointment and have a set time...who wants to walk in and have to sit and wait. To the negative review who was MAD because they could not accommodate her because she did not have an appointment...ARE YOU KIDDING ME....would you want them to lie to you and tell you to sit and wait even though they have appointments set up and would not have time to take you - it is great that they are honest with you and tell you right from the start. I always call ahead and make an appointment and YES they are sometimes booked and busy and cannot take me...think about it - that is because they have a good clean professional salon....would you rather go to a salon that is never booked up and has no customers because they are terrible.....COMMON SENCE!!!!!!
