    Two eggs breakfast
    Rashi T.

Surprisingly, I didn't even know this place existed until I specifically searched for breakfast spots in the area, and I'm glad I found it.We had a short wait to be seated, but once we got in, everything moved quickly. The restaurant was bustling with people, and there was a steady line of guests waiting outside, which is usually a good sign. I ordered a cappuccino, while my friend had an Americano. Both coffees were excellent, but the Americano was strong, fragrant and full of flavor. For breakfast, we shared the Veggie Hash, a Two-Egg Breakfast, and a waffle. Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous. In fact, neither of us was able to finish our meal. Service was fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly despite how busy the restaurant was. Overall, this was a great breakfast spot, and one I'd happily return to the next time I'm in the area.

    ABC scramble

GiGi's cafe is delicious! It is definitely a must try. The staff was so nice and greeted us like we've been coming since birth. I can't wait to come here next time I'm up in Portland!

I was in Portland for 4 days and I went to Gigi's EVERY DAY THERE because it really was that good and worth the hype!! Super gluten free friendly and so delicious!!!! This will be my first stop when I return to Portland. Their omelets were so good, but my favorite was the chicken and waffles :-)

We had arrived without reservations for brunch. The line went out the door, but moved quickly. We ate outside since there wasn't enough space inside. We had gotten chicken + waffles and the breakfast burrito with a side of house potatoes. Our potatoes had pieces of hair in them, which completely grossed us out, especially since we found them hidden in the food after we had eaten. They took a while to check us out, so we had to go inside to ask for the bill. Once we addressed that, they removed the potatoes from the bill and checked us out. Grossed me out so bad I won't be back.

Chicken sausage scramble with mini waffle

I came across Gigi's Cafe after a long morning at OHSU. It had been busy oddly enough on Wednesday morning as a large group was celebrating an engagement. I love their complimentary mini waffles. I ordered their chicken sausage scramble that came with grits, sauteed greens, and mini waffle. I have never been the biggest fan of grits but Gigi's grits were pretty good. As far portions, it's not too much which is great because I left not feeling overly full. Next time I'm back I look forward to their cornbread jalapeno waffle.

This place exceeded my expectations of gluten free restaurants, a plus with the homie feeling. The chicken has the best crust with great flavor. The waffle was excellent, super fluffy and airy. The service was exceptional, our waitress was so sweet and polite. They also give you free samples of their waffles! Is a must go in my opinion.

We came during a very busy Friday morning, and when you enter the restaurant, it is important that you write your name on the sign-up sheet to ensure that you can be taken care of. We had about two families ahead of us. However, it was not a long wait. Ashley was our waitress and she took great care of us along with the entire restaurant since she was a solo waitress to a full shop. Ashley also had great recommendations. I highly recommend their espresso and coffee. Partner with Groundworks coffee and we actually ended up purchasing a bag because it is a Gigi café special! The fried chicken is so crispy and the waffles are quite large! We were very happy for the price we paid for not only this meal that filled us up, but also for the fact that it is all gluten-free and you cannot tell!!! The food also came quite quick. The atmosphere is very cute as well, I love all of the artwork that is available for purchases. My biggest complaint would be the parking lot, it is quite small and can be very annoying trying to navigate. I cannot wait for my next visit.

Cute interior, friendly staff, busy location, free wifi. Ordered a simple egg breakfast with poached eggs. A lot of vinegar on those eggs that came through. Poach done properly though and I didn't end up with a pool of vinegar water on my plate. So that's a plus. Came with sautéed greens which were heavily salted and peppered (crushed red) and interestingly was a mix of kale and iceberg. Different. The grits were the star of the show, creamy, flavorful, perfect texture. They know what they're doing here. Burnt coffee, but pretty standard in terms of flavor for diner coffee.

Buffalo chicken Benedict + Liege Waffle House

TL;DR - Great spot for a quick breakfast. Known for their waffles, highly recommend. Got recommended this restaurant by a friend & it didn't disappoint. Arrived 11am Saturday morning - restaurant was packed but luckily we were seated immediately. Smallish parking lot but should have plenty of space. --Interior Slightly cramped when restaurant is full but still plenty of room to move around. Cute homely decor with teapots & interesting paintings. --Service Very friendly. Can tell it's family run. Even have guest WiFi. Prices are elevated but that's because they are TIPLESS. --Food Very very good. Buffalo chicken Benedict (5/5) Served with ground chicken which works out because the yolk from Benedict's usually make everything soggy. Also comes with a great pickled salad. Liege waffles (5/5) Served without syrup but still plenty of sweet. They serve you 2 samples when you're seated so you can get an idea of what it's like. --Overall One of the better breakfast experiences I've had in a while & would def check out again stopping by in the Portland area.

    waffle sampler, incredible!
    Andrew H.

A waffle sampler? what a concept! I really enjoy waffles but...I rarely order them because...I see them more as an accessory. If they are prepped more like a main then...I usually can't decide which one I want. Gigi's solves that problem with innovative waffle concepts and the fact that you can, more or less, order a "flight" of them. Think of them like "waffle sliders" and you'll get the concept. I'm grateful for a friend that lives in this part of town for showing me this gem. I was never even aware of Gigi's when I lived in Portland so many years ago!

Corn Beef Hash over Medium Eggs

Five stars for the waffles!!! I also had the Corn Beef Hash, and it was a bit too dry for me... Service was excellent and I absolutely love the no tipping policy. I live in sherwood and I will make the drive there again and again!

    Summer Salad
    John D.

Awesome. Ordered the summer salad and the goat cheese made this out of this world. The wife had the mushroom asparagus scramble. Delicious. My 21 year old daughter got Linda lemon waffle. 3 happy plates. No tipping. Seems to work- former fine dining waiter here.

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. We didn't get her name but saw on the receipt her name might have been Davi, she was such a bundle of light and life, so attentive and kind! She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. Next time I'm back in Portland I'm absolutely spoiling some friends here with what I can only describe as a transcendent experience.

We paired everything with a strong cup of coffee with extra refills, of course. I highly recommend it!
