I came here on a Friday evening craving a little dessert. I kept seeing them advertised on TikTok, so I decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did! There's minimal parking in their lot, which I believe they share with a little corner store off Main Street in Laurel. Luckily, I was able to find a spot nearby on one of the side streets. When I entered, I was greeted right away and given a menu. Since I explained that it was my first time, they gave me an overview of what they offered, which I appreciated. I decided to try the vegan chocolate ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies. It was SO delicious! Honestly, I couldn't even tell it was vegan as far as taste. There is a small amount of outdoor seating, and since people were already outside enjoying their treats, I decided to enjoy mine in my car. And I didn't make a mess! Gooo ME! YES!! First off, the place is very cute. It's small but there are table options inside and outside. The lady was also very sweet - I always appreciate it when the staff is accommodating and would actually talk to you. I sampled their salted caramel and I was in heaven. I also sampled the strawberry (delish) and the butter pecan (not very butter pecan-y). I knew I wanted the banana split but I had my heart set on the salted caramel flavor, and to my surprise, the banana split can be customized with any flavors of my choosing. I got a banana split with salted caramel and strawberry, and without any of the sauces. What a cute little cafe! I shared a raspberry sorbet with a friend and it was quite delicious. It was bursting with that sweet, tart flavor, and if I was hungry, I probably would have gotten a full cup just for myself. They have smoothies, lattes, milkshakes, and some other things that I want to try. The ice cream flavors aren't particularly unique, but it is an adorable, chill cafe setting with a fancy couch in the entryway. By the way, their prices are amazing. $2 scoop Tuesdays?! read more

Walking along Main Street in Laurel the other day, the signage grabbed our attention as we headed back from another establishment. We remebered noticing a whole line of people going into this place and we wondered what it was. As we came back the second time we saw that it was an ice cream parlor and they advertised the flavor of Dubai Strawberry. Of course Dubai anything is the rave nowadays and my friend wanted to stop in to see what it tasted like. We went in and looked around the shop which was cutely decorated and offered a lot of options from coffee to Banana Splits to waffles and sandwiches. My friend only wanted to sample the Strawberry Dubai so we waited in line and then when it was our turn, the young lady informed us it was more of a dessert that they created and not an ice cream flavor. I noticed that they did have Plpails of Hershey's ice cream and not ice cream they actually made themselves being offered, which was a little bit of a letdown. But hey, if you're in an ice cream mood, then this may be the place for you to go. It's not a custom place, meaning they don't make their own flavors but they do have some candies you can add in. I noticed multiple jars of candies on top of the ice cream display which had pictures of the actual candy inside because I'm guessing once the candy settles is not so appealing to look at. I did notice the gummy bears and there were other add-ins as well. If you're in the mood for ice cream and you're walking along Main Street, then sure definitely stop in. It didn't really tickle my fancy though. It's hard to rate this place since I didn't try any of their ice cream because it wasn't anything original but I will give them one star for curb appeal and one star for how cute the shop was and another star for their different offerings ‍ read more

We live pretty close to Gigi's and enjoy stopping in sometimes for ice cream or coffee. It's always nice to stop in and see the friendly staff and have a quick chat. The cafe itself is a bit small. They have a couple of tables inside to eat at and the sort of foyer section has a seating area to wait/hang out. There are some picnic tables out front though. We haven't tried their sandwiches yet so I can't comment on that but the ice cream (which is Hershey's) and coffee are good. Unfortunately they don't have decaf espresso, only drip coffee. I would love to have the option to get a decaf cappuccino or latte but that's really my only gripe. read more

Saturday was my second time going to the ice cream shop. I attended the Main St. Festival and decided to stop at Gigi's. I ordered the turkey and cheese panini. It was very flavorful. It was nice and warm. Also, the bread was soft. I couldn't eat the whole sandwich so ate one half yesterday and the other half today for lunch. The service was great. We were both in the mood for some ice cream! I wanted a cone with sprinkles cause I'm childish!! He wanted butter pecan! So we found ourselves looking for ice cream and we found Gigi's!! I made the mistake of getting a dairy free vegan choice! It wasn't soo great! Just the mouth feel of it and it was very sweet! I'll just pass on it next time! Laurel absolutely needed a dessert place like Gigi's! Gigi's has been on my radar for quite some time and I was finally able to go this weekend with my cousins and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The customer service was amazing and so was the drinks we got, I wholeheartedly recommend the Strawberry Lemonade! The outdoor seating paired with the cafe being in the heart of Main Street makes it so much cuter. Aside from the Lemonade, the owner even offered us a Pumpkin Spiced Iced Chai Latte for free to try and it was the best fall drink I've had, even better than Starbucks and Dunkin. Ordered ahead for pick up and had the kids with me. Once the woman working knew I was waiting in the car with kids she carried the order out to us so I wouldn't have to go in. Discovered this small gem of an icecream shop on Main St while dropping my furchild to her groomers. Customer service was spot on. Enough ice cream varieties that I would come back with my young adult son for him to peruse to his heart's desires(he has a sweet tooth). I did purchase their large chocolate chip cookies and their brownie for my son to taste. I got one scoop of ice cream and wow, what a large scoop. They are definitely not stingy with their scoop. I'm used to the basic scoop at Baskin Robbins so this was a treat. Prices are reasonable. Ample parking. I love supporting small businesses. We will be back.
