the brief: smallish cafe/dessert spot in the Laurel shopping center. Feels kind of like an Asian twist on Cold Stone between the K-pop playing and some of the flavor variations. Yummy desserts and friendly service. I think they advertise themselves as a coffee shop and although they sell some sweet coffee drinks, I wouldn't really classify them as a cafe or coffee shop, but more of an ice cream shop. There's lots of flavor variations available with add ons from cereal, candy, toppings, etc. We opted for the rolled birthday cake ice cream. Between ordering and getting the treat, it was probably around 7-8 minutes (rolled ice cream takes a while to make if you're unfamiliar with the concept). It was tasty in a very kids ice-cream, condensed milk type of way, which my kid loved. Cute little spot to get a treat.

So I came back hoping that it'll nip my taste for it in the bud. That it'll be tasty, but not tasty enough where I want it again and again. Nope. Now I'm obsessed. Had the banana cream pie (added pretzels on top) and perfection isn't the correct word. There isn't a word. This is a step above. It tasted like biting into a slice of banana cream pie. No exaggeration, and there might've been more ice cream this time around. The only way this experience could be better is by making a smaller portion. Maybe a mini taco that's smaller in diameter for 1/2 the price. Smaller portion = less guilt Also had a sip of the Fruity Pebble shake...yes. So yes, I will be coming back again and again and again. See you next time!

So this seems to be trending; is it good? It is update of the beloved Choco taco. There are almost 2 dozen flavors, with rolled ice cream from a cold slab surrounded by pressed to order waffle "taco". They also have milkshakes and drinks with Boba, lychee jelly, and other additions. I liked that you could have everything ranging from s'mores, cookies and cream, Matcha, mango, Horchata, and coconut. They also added cookies, pretzels, and other flavorful toppings to the rolled ice cream and milkshakes. Since I cannot eat wheat/waffle cones, I got the Fruity Pebbles milkshake. The taste was awesome, but the milkshake was a bit too icy. It could've been smoother and creamier to match my liking. Sweetness was perfect though. A companion got the Matcha Oreo milkshake. Beware that the Matcha has, I heard, a tablespoon of Matcha. The feedback I got was that it was too bitter. The server said that he would not adjust down the amount of Matcha so we replaced the order with rolled ice cream that had pretzels and caramel. It looked delicious. The cookies and cream rolled ice cream looks great and it was a popular choice at my table. It was neither a small nor large serving. It looks like a perfect amount, as was my milkshake. I would go back and order some of the delicious choices I heard others making. I liked the bright, understated decor and the availability of outside seating. However, it does not seat many people inside. If we were with a bunch of friends, we would probably take photos as there are some photo-worthy spots.

Wearing gloves to fix co-worker's hair and then touched ice cream cones/toppings with those same gloves; very dirty

Be careful here, several sanitation & food safety issues. Watch what the staff are touching while they have their gloves on. In a short period of time, we saw someone with gloves on: touching her ear, scratching her nose & face, touching her hair and fixing her co-workers hair - all without changing those gloves and going back to preparing food. They also were wearing their gloves to touch their phone, FaceTiming while rolling the ice cream, & placing their gloved hands all over the dirty counter. It was taking longer for them to complete orders because their friends came to visit and they were talking to each other & the friends were standing in the way making it difficult for customers to get napkins and spoons. All of us customers were shocked, disappointed, and jaws were dropping as we observed all of these unsanitary practices. Trash can was also very full, which didn't make sense because the staff were quick to use their phone or sit down if there were free moments. Will not be back again, but used to love this place when they first opened and have been several times. It has really changed as a business and needs management supervision if there's only going to be young high school staff on shift.

Okay PG with the epic sweet newness!!! I have never had rolled ice cream before -- ice cream tacos though? Yes. The choco taco I grew up with is timeless, and I'm so sad it's phased out now. But this place? Whew... as soon as the door opened it smelled amazing. You could smell the sweet combination of waffles and ice cream. You can get over 20 types of ice cream tacos, and they come with different colored (not flavored) waffle taco shells and toppings. I was studying that menu for a long time, and finally settled on ube. I didn't get a black taco shell like the menu showed, but the ube was a beautiful shade of purple, and when I tell you it was bomb... WOW. I don't know the proper way to eat it though -- I tried picking it up and eating it like an actual taco, but I saw many other people spooning out the taco shells. Is there a wrong way to eat it? Anyways, they have yogurt smoothies, milkshakes, slushies, lemonade, tea, and iced coffee. Hot coffee and waffles will both be hitting the menu soon. When my friend and I went, it was pretty busy, so this is a great sign. I can't wait to try more of their menu! The tacos are $8, smoothies are $7, teas, coffees, and lemonades are $6.

A unique ice cream experience with so many different flavors you have to try them all! They sell not only ice cream tacos but also smoothies, signature teas, lemonade, yogurt smoothies and milkshakes that you can get with a variety of flavors. Everything was easy and clean. We were greeted with a smile and the menu was thoroughly explained so we could make the right choice. The waffle cones also have a nice flavor that add a good touch to the ice cream. They are all the same flavor even though they are different colors. The bathroom was also as spotless as a clean bathroom could be We will definitely be back to try a different flavor or two!

I love this place! The photos are actually from my first visit, but this is my second time coming--and it won't be the last. The flavors are creamy and super yummy. It might not look like a lot of ice cream when it's rolled up, but don't be fooled--it's definitely filling. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the results speak for themselves. Customer service has been great both times, and the wait time wasn't bad at all. I also really appreciate how clean everything is--especially the bathrooms (yes, I notice these things!). The vibe is bright and cheerful, the decor is cute, and I love being able to see exactly how my treat is made right in front of me. The menu is easy to navigate, which is always a plus. Of course, I'll be back again!

#9 Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream Taco

"They said you were dead," Hiccup addresses his mother, Valka, missing from her family and the island community of Berk for more than twenty years. "Everyone thinks you were eaten by..." Hiccup pauses in wonder as legions of dragons of all shapes, colors, and species swoop majestically in circles around verdant cliffs interrupted by mist-conjuring cascades and mossy crags of rock. "Do you like it?" Valka asks. "I don't have the words," Hiccup responds. My wife and I might have responded similarly when we caught the awe-inspiring sight of La Creme Roulee's digitally-projected list of 23 different types of rolled ice cream tacos, ranging from #4 Strawberry Shortcake and #11 Rainbow Road (Fruity Pebbles Cereal) to #6 Coffee & Cream (Coffee and Oreo cookies, which I ordered) and #9 Vietnamese Coffee (Espresso, which my wife ordered). Upon indulging in our first bites, we immediately pledged to return to La Creme Roulee's Laurel Town Center location in Laurel, Maryland. My wife was eager to try the #22 Mango and I was just as eager as How to Train Your Dragon's night fury, Toothless, to return to my one and only ice-cream-taco bestie: the incomparable and decadent combination of coffee ice cream and Oreo cookies.

They just opened today. Before storming this new spot, keep in mind they are brand new and may be working out some kinks. They also will not start having waffles and coffee until maybe next week. The drink I got was a strawberry lemonade and it was really good. I liked how my birthday cake ice cream was the perfect level of sweetness too. I lowkey should have gotten one more but in another flavor to try more out because I really liked the birthday cake. Will be back soon for a waffle because I know they're going to be delicious! Cute spot (with seating indoors and outdoors) and staff seem nice.

I have to say I was a little skeptical about this concept. But the ice cream taco is no gimmick! I loved the texture the nitrogen roll gave the ice cream- thick creamy and a little bit chewy. I devoured mine. I got the captain crunch flavor which was sooo yummy and nostalgic. The flavor choices were very unique which is a huge plus for me. Everything is made right in front of you and it's all finished in a couple minutes. Seating could've been slightly more plentiful but hey it's an ice cream shop.

I really wanted to like this. My favorite party was the waffle. It was crunchy and yummy. "Ice cream " and I use the quote bc ice cream is creamy and this was icy. It was really fucking sweet. The plastic spoon and the like hot dog bun holder doesn't facilitate an easy experience. The spoon bends bc the ice cream is hard and the paper bowl does nothing to help to try and scoop it up. Won't return

New ice cream shop by my house? I'm there!! And it did not disappoint! The inside was very cute, fun, and pretty spacious. Although I got there pretty late (it opens til 10pm) all the staff seemed to have high energy. They were friendly and patient. I got the Matcha Monster and loved it. It's rolled ice cream in a waffle cone and it's amazing! Trying to resist going here this summer is going to be a challenge.

I was nicely greeted when I walked in and was excited to get some donuts. I was informed it would be about 10-15 minutes for the donut machine to warm up. I was concerned about the time and walked out trying to find somewhere else nearby that wasn't too commercial. I couldn't and returned to get the donuts. I'm glad I did because it didn't take too long and they were good. My only gripe is that these are mini donuts and the price is a bit steep for the size. $15 for 12 mini donuts.
