Visited on Saturday evening. They lost our order and didn't realize it for an hour. Then took our order again we waited for over two hours to eat. The food was less than average when it finally arrived. It came out in two different times at least 5 minutes apart. Then we were told the waitress Molly could not discount or comp our order but the owner was on his way. He did not show, we paid full price for terrible food and service. Needless to say we will not be back and we are spreading the word in our little community. read more

Came here to grab a quick lunch. Despite being told that the location wasn't excellent, I still gave it a shot. I choose the loaded fries and soft pretzels. Everything was served hot and fresh. The bacon honey mustard sauce that was served with the pretzels was tasty. Deb, who works in the kitchen, was excellent. She checked to see if everything was okay for us. Normally we love this place but tonight was just bad , we ordered loaded nachos and they came with no meat sheared cheese and a ton of black olives and onions a little condiment cup of salsa and a little pack of sour cream . There were people coming and not even getting drinks and leaving . I hope it was just an off night but everyone was complaining. The pregnant girl that waited on us was a sweet hart and the older waitress seemed to be doing a good job maybe just a little overwhelmed. When we questioned about the no meat they brought us some out and we ordered soft tacos and those were fine . I'm not exactly sure if the kitchen staff was new but they definitely need better training. read more

The outdoor patio is completely gorgeous. I went for brunch with my mother. You could tell this place was mostly regulars as we were the only one of the three groups outside that had never been there. Standard greasy breakfast fair that gives you a couple hours of heart burn. The server was less than charming but she was punctual with orders and refills until we were done eating, when she disappeared for 45 minutes. Another odd tidbit was that the kitchen mix matched part of my and another tables orders. I didn't say anything but the other table did and she lied and said they had ran out of what they wanted but it was clearly on my plate unwanted. Weird. I would stop here again maybe for a game and some drinks on a nice summer night to sit outside on the patio with friends but other than that I wouldn't run back. read more

Gilhuly's on 61 is the new version of Bar 61. The new owners have remodeled inside and out and it looks pretty awesome. They did a nice job with the facade of the building. It's a very visible part of the main street of Berlin Heights, and I think they did a good job of updating the outside of the building while still having it look like it belongs in town. They also added a really large covered patio. Right now there is one unisex bathroom, which is a bummer but I imagine they'll add another as it looks like they're still remodeling. We stopped at Gilhuly's on 61 recently with a large group on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was already pretty full. The bartenders and kitchen did an awesome job as we all ate dinner at Gilhuly's. The food was really good, and the service was as well. I'm legitimately looking forward to going back to try some other items on the menu. read more

i bought pull tan tickets here with my "to go " order. she had no problem taking my money and tip. i left and when on about my schedule.i opened my pull tab tickets and discovered I had two $20 winners. i took them back 2 days later to cash them in, I was told since I left that they would not be cashing my tickets. By far the WORST service I have had at any restaurant. Let me preface this by saying there were all of 3 tables outside and a few people at the bar when we walked in with a decent sized group. It took 30-40 minutes to receive 3 mixed shots which are not hard to make nor should they take that long. It was at least 30 minutes before anyone came to take our food order. No one communicated anything to us they never asked if we needed drink refills or if we need anything. I had to ask for silverware which is ridiculous as that should have been handed to us with the menus. my boyfriend waited 10 minutes for 1 lime. After we ate we sat there waiting for a check or maybe someone to ask if we wanted refills while the girl behind the bar was on her phone IN PLAIN VIEW! We had to ask for checks which took like 30 minutes to get to us and they added 20% gratuity which is BULLSHIT! No one once said there would be gratuity added for a large party. They knew we were pissed so they added it so they wouldn't get stiffed. once we had the checks it was another 10 minutes before we got the cards and receipts back. Everything was cold when we got it. Those girls were rude and slow for no reason. it was not busy enough to receive such atrocious service. Don't waste your time here, unless you're a regular. read more

The new owners really went all out and made this place look great! Husband and I have stopped out a few times and left just because it was standing room only (we don't do crowds)! Stopped out on a late Sunday afternoon and I had the Reuben which btw was delicious. A little over priced for the size but still good food! On a odd note a server/kitchen worker not sure what she did came over to the table next to us and started putting the beer labels on the nicely "new" painted wall! Someone made the comment to her that it would remove the paint and her response was "let them fire me, I don't care!" Tacky, was all I thought! Our server (wish I got her name) was nice a polite but you could tell they give the "regulars" better service as she continued to pour doubles and not charge them (was we were both drinking Grey Goose and I'm a ppl watcher). She even went to the point to take the pourer off the bottle and say "Ooopppsss" and put it back on to serve me! Good food and nice place but the service is unbelievably slow. They must have three bartenders/waitresses behind the bar and it's been no less than a 20 minute wait for a beer refill. (It's a Thursday and not that busy) The guy next to me finished his burger about 15 minutes ago and already left. The plate and empty beer is STILL sitting there.
