In the past month I've seen two amazing shows at the stadium; Elton John & Billy Joel and also AC/DC . I've sat on the same side twice but in different areas and both were great seats! I don't think there is a bad seat in the place, .. okay so I've never sat in the nose bleed section which look really high up lol but I'm sure they're not bad either because every show has huge screens on both sides of the stage. If you have club sears the club area is very cool place to hang out and have a beer while your waiting for a show to begin. I've never been to a game here so I cant rate game experience but as far as concerts go I think this is a great venue to see a concert! Tailgating was a great time, security officers/police roam the area but they don't bother anyone. Plenty of porta potties around which is convenient and they actually weren't as gross as I expected them to be. Parking is $40 at the stadium and across the street, if you want to park miles away I'm sure its cheaper but then you'd have to walk. Getting out of the parking lots are all a bit crazy but it's to be expected, so bring games or some more beers and hang out till the craziness is over. I'm looking forward to go back for my first game or some more concerts. PS - Patriots Place is awesome! read more

Just went to Country Fest this weekend at Gillette! I had a great time and I really love seeing shows here. Parking is EXPENSIVE but when you consider that you can tailgate in the parking lot and don't have to spend money at a bar or a restaurant, it pretty much all evens out in the end. The staff was really friendly both in the lot and in the venue and the ticket scanning and everything went really quickly. The only things that make this venue tough is the traffic and the price of everything inside. If you do decide to buy a beer or drink inside, plan on spending at least 13 bucks a drink...overpriced is an understatement! Get there early and bring enough food and drinks for before the show so you can avoid spending your rent money on a warm beer and bring enough for after the show too because you will be in the parking lot forever. I've been to a few shows here and if you don't want to tailgate, it's probably not worth the traffic, plus you run the risk of not getting to the show in time and missing some of the songs that you paid a pretty penny for! But, if you are willing to spend the day and commit to having a great time, I can pretty much guarantee that you will! read more

I'm used to Fenway prices, which are not as steep because the Red Sox aren't good anymore? No, that can't be right. Maybe Gillette is more expensive because the Patriots are so good? Everything overpriced. Parking costs $60, beer is $14, chicken tenders were $10 and over cooked. Stadium is outdated already. Just a whole bunch of drunk fans sitting next to me. Some people were smoking and vaping in the stands and security did not do anything about it. Also, women were flooding the men's bathrooms. I hated the feeling of being rushed out by stadium staff, they rudely forced us out of the stadium. Traffic getting out was a complete nightmare. read more

About that traffic........... You might say, "Well, when 68,000 people all head to and from one place, you just have to put up with traffic". Not exactly. They did a study a couple of years ago and ranked NFL stadiums by traffic and Gillette came out as the 2nd worst in the league. Only the Redskins stadium is worse. Setup and location determines traffic at least as much as the number of people. WHY did they build another stadium in Foxboro? I can't imagine they couldn't have found a place better suited to either major highway access and/or public transportation. But did Bob Kraft want it that way? Another Yelp reviewer here suggests it's by design and maybe he's right. Forcing almost everyone to drive here forces them to park. And pay $40 for the privilege. Your inconvenience may just be a huge added revenue stream for the Krafts. The Patriots rank 2nd in the NFL in team value behind only the Cowboys and those five Super Bowls may not be the only reason. read more

Awful awful, awful access. The stadium itself is beautiful and views seem to be great wherever you sit assuming you can actually get to the stadium. Poor roads to the stadium, no traffic control, it can take hours to get there. Parking (unless you're among the elite with high end season tickets) is on unpaved lots, very disorganized, difficult entry and exit. If you're going to a football game, plan to spend an hour or two to get through traffic coming to and from. Also - WAY too many mens rooms and WAY too few womens rooms! read more

Went to a Patriots game on Sunday afternoon. This was my first time at Gillette Stadium and it is a very impressive place. It was very clean and well maintained from everything I could see. I drag the overall rating down to 2 stars for the following reasons: 1/ $40 for parking is ridiculous 2/ The concessions are also doing the price gouging. $4 hot dogs, $11 beers, and on and on. I get that all stadiums do this, but it doesn't make it any less painful on the wallet. 3/ Can I blame the traffic on the venue? Not necessarily, but it was brutal both on arrival and departure. read more

I came here for a conference at work hosted by Comcast to take place in the Putnam Club area of the stadium. Thanks to the Conference & Events staff at the stadium, no detail was overlooked. Free wifi, lots of power outlets to charge laptops and iPads, and no connection problems. The food offered appealed to everyone and even those with food allergies. My only complaint was that there was no real direction/help from staff that morning helping us get to the area we needed to be. As a bonus, we did go on a stadium tour which was really fun! Overall, if you're looking for an easy and professional place to hold a meeting or conference, this is awesome! read more

Gillette Stadium represents the pros and cons of the gentrification of pro-sporting arenas. Ticket prices to Patriots games are ridiculous these days. We paid over $100 to have seats in literally the last row and we bought them for below face value on StubHub. I hate to think what you'd pay for seats where you can actually tell who has the ball. It means that the facilities are clean and safe, but you lose a lot of that hometown charm that a place like Fenway exudes. A lot of people have mentioned the $40 parking and what a ripoff it is, especially since it only costs about $30 to park at Fenway in downtown Boston. It IS a lot of money for parking and traffic management can be hell on Route 1 and 95 pre- and post-game, but it needs to be more expensive to have all the cops on patrol while people tailgate, to direct traffic (there is simply a much larger volume of traffic at Gillette), and to clean up after said tailgating (I am very happy that Gillette now has a recycling initiative for all those empties). Food in the stadium is expensive, salty, and not very veg-friendly. I highly recommend putting your $40 to work out in the parking lot and arriving early, setting up a grill, and soaking up some team spirit. The shopping area is really nice and I am sure a lot of pink-shirt fans will enjoy it, but when I come here I come for FOOTBALL (or futbol). However, concessions DOES have really cold Sam Adams Boston Lager on tap. Always a good decision. read more

I saw Springsteen this past weekend and was very disappointed in Gillette overall. The stadium itself, inside wasn't so bad, but outside of that it's one of the worst designed stadiums I have ever been to in the US. No bathrooms on the mezzanine level? What's up with that? Traffic was not nearly as bad going in as what I have been told it is for Patriots games or other concerts. We did go a few hours early, but friends I was with told me it is usually worse. I guess the passing thunderstorms kept people away? Parking was $40! Wow! More than most every place around Fenway! Traffic after was horrendous! They had State troopers directing traffic, which of course just made it 10 times worse that it would normally be! They were so obnoxious, it was ridiculous! We waited about an hour before leaving and it still took us an hour to get out and on the road. They really need to create an off-ramp or direct link from the stadium to I95 or other major highway, like most stadiums around the US have. It's really a mess. Springsteen was amazing as usual, although he only played 3 hours, which is the shortest amount of time I have ever seen him play. The Mass fans just weren't into him like other crowds I've been in. Going to the stadium in the middle-of-nowhere foxboro is a hassle in and of itself. And once you get there you have to deal with stupid parking organization. Workers have to enforce stupid rules such as no standing near barricades and they keep you moving like cattle everywhere. Prices are annoyingly expensive for everything and god forbid you need medical assistance they'd probably charge the EMTs for entrance. Robert Kraft needs to get out of the chinese massage parlors and focus on his business. read more

A great facility. Good sight lines, weather is ALWAYS a factor, as it should be in a REAL NFL stadium. Loses one star because of the ridiculous shopping mall full of Christmas Tree Shops, Bed Bath and Beyond, and other stuff guys just LOVE. Not a Hooters in sight, but many empty storefronts - EARTH TO BOB: YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE MALE. The security is over-the-top harsh, but that's why you can take your kids here. The old stadium (been a season tix holder 15 years and attending games 28 years) was like an outlaw biker rally. So get there and experience it while the Babyfaced Assasin is still taking snaps and the Genius Sith Lord still prowls the sideline in his hoodie! read more

Gillette stadium meets expeditions. Great ambiance, energetic atmosphere, nightmare parking. However what stands out to me is the cuisine. Outside of a parked 2018 Ford, I stumbled across a plastic table laden with steak, presumably cooked in the small grill that was, at the time, charring some peppers and onions. Outstanding. Spoke to the chef, who's boastful nature was a bit of a turn of. However, he did have much to be proud of. Fifteen years old and the sous chef of his own Gillette stadium steakery. Quite impressive. As a review of Gillette Stadium, not the events going on at the Stadium, I'd say it's just "OK". I think the size of the stadium is just about perfect. The ease of navigating the facility is another positive thing about it. But aside from that there really isn't much more that makes this place anymore than that. The addition of patriot place is nice, although I have yet to shop at any of the stores they added or try the other restaurants. They are some pretty nice stores though. The food inside the facility is sub-par in my opinion. Granted on any given day they are serving food and drinks for nearly 70,000 people. But, the quality of it compared to the cost isn't worth it to me. It doesn't stop me from eating it, but I will do my best to fill up while tailgating before and after the games/shows. Another weird thing I ran into one day while in the fidelity club house was trying to get a coffee with a shot or two of Baileys mixed in. I would have had to order a coffee the dunkin donuts stand, then go to the bar and order the shots, which in the end would have cost almost 20 dollars for one. It's a nice drink to enjoy during a cold game, but too costly to have here. Parking is just an entirely separate issue. You are always going to make an all day affair when driving here. Nothing easy about it, no way around it, just be ready to sit in it. read more

Of the 37 reviewers here, I'm wondering how many had the pleasure of visiting the old Foxboro/Sullivan/Schaefer Stadium? Gillette is the Taj Mahal next to the old dump and all of the inconveniences have existed for years. (i.e. traffic, public transportation) All of the sight lines are great, the sound is excellent and concourses are wide enough to accommodate the massive throngs of humanity. There's plenty of restrooms and a decent selection of grub & grog, but the prices of said g&g are sky high...but that should be expected in the Boston area. Overall...great place. read more

My review may be biased cause I'm a Pats fan but I had no complaints with venue. I was bummed cause team didn't perform on opening night. I was raped by Stubhub for my tickets so I wasn't too happy but I got over it. I'd recommend taking the train in and out for games or else you'll be stuck in traffic. I give the stadium a 4.5 for ambience and atmosphere inside. Yes, you are selling body parts to pay for the beers, but having been to a few stadiums, the Kraft family got this one right. The parking is what knocks it down to a 3. I was at the Monday Night game against the Texans, which ended after midnight. We fired up the grill after the game because we knew we wouldn't be leaving the parking lot for at least an hour, and we were correct. I got home at about 2:30. It's not the team's fault, its just a crappy location with roads that aren't adequate to the task of moving 60+ thousand people in and out of it. The train is a good option, but it often doesn't get back to Boston much earlier than if you drive. read more

I LOVE the PATRIOTS!! My husband and I drove up from PA to watch them play the Jets. We had been saving for two years for this trip. We'd been to other stadium to see them play, but being there with PATRIOTS fans, enough said! I love that the game was at 4:15, so we went early, shopped around Patriot place, which is great, because living in PA, you can't find Patriots clothes, you gotta order them online. Once inside I couldn't stop taking pictures and wondering around. It is a beautiful stadium! Yeah traffic was a mess, but most games traffic is a mess at too. We are already saving money, not doing anything extra, so we can go back next year! read more

Getting into Gillette Stadium for any significant event is either impossible or ridiculously expensive. And if you do snare a ticket, you'll pay another $50 for parking. The restaurants and shops in the area around are similarly overpriced, and the walkways are a freezing wind tunnel for at least 5 months of the year. The only thing I do there on a more-or-less regular basis is go to the movies. It has a separate parking lot and about 20 different movies. Of course, the concessions are absurdly expensive, but I don't buy those. read more

5 stars for my favorite football team's stadium. I went to my first NFL game last Sunday and it was a blast. Parking and tailgating at Gillette was intense - there were thousands of people milling about drinking beers and playing pong before the game. My buddy and I had a couple of brews and just walked around and observed the festivities. It would be a blast to come back next time I am in town and try to pull off a real tailgate. Parking for Gillette was slow going - it took us a good 30 minutes to get into Gillette and out of as well and we arrived 2 hours before kickoff and left a good 1 hour + after the game ended. If you can, park as close to the stadium as possible. It's going to cost the same and you won't need to walk 2+ miles (it's possible). In the stadium there were some pretty decent beer deals. Check out the New England Beer stands. They have $10 large craft beers (22oz). I may or may not have had a few of them. The games must be absolutely freezing if you go during the dead of winter. Thankfully, we got lucky and the highs were in the mid-40s. What a blast! read more

This doesn't have the old charm that my beloved Fenway has, but I still get the warm fuzzies when I think about Gillette. It's like trading your old car in for a brand new one, you just don't have all the memories with the new one, even if it works better. What impressed me most about Gillette was the cleanliness. Having been to a few stadiums, Gillette is by far the cleanest. Believe it or not, the lines are SHORTER here than other places. Seriously, New England, appreciate how well organized this stadium. I'm grudingly given Gillette 3 stars, and here why. Gillette Stadium is home to the New England Patriots (NFL) and the New England Revolution (MLS). It seats roughly 65,000 people and is state of the art. What sucks about it is that its about as close to boston is as dover is to france..and with far worse transport links. Now i get it, American Football fans, all have cars, and part of going to a game. but i dont want to drive into the middle of no where and to watch a sporting even where i can't have a drink if i feel like it. But heres my big issue. The Revolution are one of the best soccer teams in the league yet have terrible attendence recordsyou know who watches soccer in americading ding ding, immigrantsand what do immigrants not have alot of when the first move herethats right money, i should know, i am one. so how the hell are the supposed to get games. The reason Toronto FC is sold out every game is that its in middle of the city, same with Chivas. It's so hard for me to right a review of my favorite sports team. I have off and on been a season ticket holder for 30 years. From hardly being able to afford seats in the 75 to 80 era, to not being able to get seats throught the 90's, and finally the new stadium. Going on the tour as it was being built, seeing the locker rooms and the state of the art everything .....I was putty in their hands. Lucky enough to make my purchase a benefit of my company, 4 seats in the Fidelity area were mine. I added two more seats for a total of 6 one year later. Now, mine line up with the 10 yard line and that might sound not so good, but as we have all heard there are no bad seats. The way the Krafts angled the seats in their design makes every seat on the sidelines just simply awesome. Tailgating has become a favorite experience now as my kids and their friends join in on some hardcore gourmet extravaganzas that have us braving the weather to munch on something created for our menu the day before. Ahhhh nothing like a Kettle One Bloody on game day with the smell of grilled meat, seafood and chili nearby. Meeting nearby tailgaters or even the team has become quite an experience before or after the game. Believe me those players lover a cold beer after the game and are really super nice guys. Why not 5 stars........the freaking parking jams after the game piss me off to no end? It was so much easier year one of the new stadium. Now with more parking spaces taken up by retail stores and less access roads ....it's a mess. So what to do. Leave early ....ashame. Keep some food and drink for post tailgating. The Krafts are very cool about their tailgaters and pretty much leave them alone. Ticket prices.........yipes! I love the Pats. read more

Good: Great closeness to field. Very clean & well maintained. Great choice of things to do after & before event at Patriot Place bars, shops & restaurants. Has some good areas to walk around near north end zone for a drink or smoke. Bad: Bathroom lines on the lower concourses can be long. Fans telling other fans to constantly sit down -- don't expect a crazy college football atmosphere. Don't bother buying concert tickets in the upper 300+ levels. read more

Wish I could make it 4.5 stars. I attended a private party at Gillette on a non-game day. The entire affair was nearly perfect. It was fab-u-lous. Wisely the Stadium requires parties to use their in-house catering and service staff. The food was nearly perfect. The appetizers alone would have been enough. But, no! The palm size coconut prawns were perfectly cooked. Too often either the shrimp are over cooked or under cooked to allow for the proper coating cook time. How ever they did it here BOTH were perfect. Rare steak appetizers were exactly that, RARE!!! Made me a very happy carnivore. Not that I didn't eat the snap pea pod one steak appetizer was wrapped in. 'Cause I did:-) The service staff were professional. Always over our shoulders with another full or nearly full tray of appetizers. The mezzanine box our party was in was plenty large, huge windows, a beautiful day. No doubt that was scheduled, too. The dinner was the only somewhat imperfect note in a symphony of OMG! Parmesean chips, in baskets brimming with various kinds of fresh bread were delish. Admittedly, I don't like fish. So, when I saw both salmon and chicken on my plate I was simultaneously underwhelmed and relieved. I do know when fish is good. I also trust that fish tastes good when others who I trust tell me it was good. And they did. My issue was the chicken. Bleh. I am not a chicken fan either. I realize this is a personal issue. So, anyone reading this review should take it as such. Chicken is all too often seasoned on just the skin, as it was. Though, it was moist and properly cooked the skin was the only part of the chicken that had flavor. It just didn't thrill me. Everyone else seemed to be very happy with everything. Polenta, in my book, is over done. 'Nuf said. I really didn't need the dinner for all the quantity and quality of appetizers. Desert I do need. This was an excellent chocolate torte. There was also, an ice cream sundae bar. Which I missed. Not too much of a bummer because, I was so stuffed that had I not missed it I am pretty sure I would have exploded and ruined the party. So, Party ON!!! There was nothing about this party that did not go incredibly well. The bar was well stocked and the servers deftly kept the lines moving. The wait staff at every level were fun, alert, and professional. The dance and DJ crew were excellent. Kepth the kdis and adults on their feet, with great music, dance lessons, and games. All of this perfection only mirrored the perfection of the reason for the party. The kids even got a tour of the stadium! read more

No smoking in the stadium and no reentry. Also you cannot get a beer or any drink for the whole second half of the game. Forcing you to chug beer and drink quickly. Gillette is very very unaccommodating for fans. Would not recommend going here at all. Nothing is better than seeing a game live, but unlike other stadiums this is a terrible place to enjoy a game. I had the privilege to watch the Patriots v Dolphins game last December in Gillete Stadium. The perks of being a Patriots fan from Miami is not one friend wanting to accompany me on my trip. This resulted in getting my seat at an amazing price in section 104. Being able to visit Gillete Stadium was by far one of the best experiences I could have had happen to me. I highly recommend buying the tickets through Ticketmaster instead of Stubhub. One last tip do not "DO NOT" take the train from Boston to Foxborough, make use of the bus instead.
