I am going to be a bit honest I was really disappointed by these pupusas especially after the 5 star reviews I read. This leads me to think that whoever reviewed this restaurant must have never eaten really good pupusas. These were extremely dry and lack flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the Jamaica. Customer service was great, and place is very nice and clean. But overall it was a huge miss for me. read more

I was super excited to see a pupuseria opening closer to me on Instagram. I checked them out after work and was not disappointed! The location currently takes orders online and by phone but the process is quick and easy! I ordered online and my food was ready by pickup time. The restaurant is super clean and the food smelled sooo good on my drive home. The pictures don't do it justice but just know the revuelta and bean and cheese pupusas, curtido, and salsa are DELICIOUS! Everything paired well and had great flavor! Second time ordering from them. Food was delicious and very authentic. Expect for a longer than usual wait time. The first time I placed my order around 3:30 PM and my order was ready around 5:30 PM. Second time I ordered at 4pm and my food wasn't ready until seven. So give yourself a good 2 to 3 hour lead time before needing your food. I will say the food is definitely worth the wait! read more

These pupusas are legit!! I was pleasantly surprised to find a location that sells pupusas so delicious and authentic in SCV. Tried several fillings and they are all delicious, including the curtido and salsa it comes with. I will definitely order from here again. My only complaint is that the ready time for my online order was inaccurate by about 20 minutes. I ordered on a day they were running a promotion and during prime dinner time, so it is completely understandable why they were busy. The entire team was visibly working hard to fulfill and push out orders, and they were very attentive and apologetic for the extended wait time, so it didnt bother me to wait longer than expected. It will probably be something I keep in mind in the future on promo days. But don't let that deter you from trying this place, it's absolutely worth the wait. read more

Stopped by to get another of the sauces for the rest of my pupusas we ordered(loved it so much we practically drank it) and was greeted by the chef/ owner! I had a great conversation with him and let him know, I usually used to drive to San Fernando for pupusas that unfortunately were not as cared for in the cooking process and were not worth the drive anymore. Once I heard this opened up so close to my neighborhood, I had to try it! My family and I enjoyed them so much. The curtido is so fresh you can notice it in every bite, the sauce is not too acidic, flavorful and just honestly the best as we get heartburn quite often- this didn't trigger anything! We ordered revueltas and frijol con queso, just the perfect amount of ingredients inside, the cheese was to die for, it stretched so much between the bites! Pupusas in SCV.. not unheard of. There's one other one I know of and it's not that good. So when this placed popped up on my Instagram! I was personally so excited. A new Salvadorian restaurant!!! They're only open Monday thru Thursdays so I took the opportunity to go over there today. Gimme Some Pupusas is tucked away in Thelma's Cafe on copper hill. Walked in super excited to cheat on my diet with pupusas de loroco. It's small and quaint but you got the cumbias playing in the background and it's a whole mood. The price is not bad at all. I ordered pupusas de loroco, calabazas, revuelta, and queso con friijole. They give you plenty of curtido and salsa and they're cooked fresh. They lasted 10 min when I got home. My family ate them right away. Will definitely hit up this spot again. Oh btw I also ordered and horchata and likewise delish. The owner is nice and welcoming, definitely give it a try.
