My husband and I are trying to do better about learning are town and we went to Gina's because we pass by them all the time. We found out this pizza spot has been around since 1971. They have lots of seating inside and a few parking spots right up front. Vanessa greeted us and took our order. She was so helpful and educated on what makes them different from their competition. She shared it is a Chicago style pizza, they have homemade crust, and they use high quality ingredients. She als shared throughout the week they have Karaoke and live music. My husband got the meat lovers pizza, my kid got meatball sliders, and I got the white spinach pizza. My daughter loved her sliders, I really liked my pizza and I really enjoyed how much spinach was on my pizza and the crispness of the crust. My husband liked his pizza but he said it was not seasoned as much as he would have liked. I'm glad we got to support a local business and I could see us stopping back by.

Great pizzaria vibes at Gina's. Various seating options booth, tables, bar for whatever you feel like or your party needs. The service is friendly and helpful. Our waitress was great. You must order the breadsticks... they were warm, pillowy soft and delicious dipped in the marinara sauce. The salad was good too with mozzarella cheese, black olives & ranch dressing. There are several pizza and sandwich options to choose from based on your preference. We ordered a small pepperoni, individual combo, individual Alfredo with pineapple, and a chicken Parmesan sandwich. Pizzas have a crispy thin crust and my son loved it. I prefer a thicker and softer crust but the toppings and flavor were great. The tiramisu was moist and flavorful. It's a great place to go with your family or friends. Video games are around to play and TV's are viewable from any seat making it easy to watch the game.

I want to be fair but it will be hard for me. I've been eating at the old Gina's since 1978. I just tried the new Gina's. This review is just on the pizza as I have never had anything but pizza from Gina's. Bottom line if you're going expecting the "Old Gina's pizza recipe" you will be disappointed. The new style pizza is nothing like old Gina's pizza. Not even in the same category or style. This disappointed me greatly as Gina's was my favorite pizza. With that said the pizza was still good and to my liking. Super thin crust, no flop. Seems they use pre made crust bc it was too perfect on the crust formation. And btw there wasn't much outer crust edge, super tiny like 1/8th thick. I feel like it needed more cheese. I ordered a 14" large and finished it all in one sitting. If that was the old Gina's I might have got through 4-5 slices bc Old Gina's had a lot more cheese and thicker crust. Obviously the place has new owners, has expanded, added TVs and a bar. So it's lost its old time feel. I don't hold that against them though. Only the old schoolers like me will notice what's no longer. The service was nice, place is clean and it's just a different place all together. For me the pizza isn't as good or as special like it used to be. But I'm glad they kept the place going and I'm sure they will find their new following. It's solid, still better than most pizza offers in the area. Sad for me.....

This place has been around for 50 years and was recently purchased by Otto from Our Place and completely refurbished. He's done a great job at staying true to some of the history here with old pictures and furnishings as well as the old recipes. At the same time he has updated the menu with some better ingredients, paid attention to gluten free needs, and added some amazing new items to the menu. My wife had the Hawaiian (I try not to judge her) and I had the Italian beef sandwich. Everything was phenomenal and we plan on going back time and time again.

I have to really appreciate and say a special thank you to the cashier working on 4/10 around 2-3pm, I asked her if they sold the T-shirt they wear as the uniform because it was so cute and she politely and apologetically said they didn't sell the shirt. After a while she came back and handed me a shirt to take home! I loved it and have worn it to several occasions and I tell people all about the excellent experience and service I received! I can't recommend this place enough it's delicious!! My husband had the chicken Alfredo pasta and I had the a slice of the Hawaiian pizza and supreme! Our meal was preceded by an included order of the garlic knots with marinara sauce, which were hot and quite tasty. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the dish was very creamy (garlic cream sauce) with plenty of spinach. The chicken could have been a little more tender and a little more prevalent, and overall the dish lacked salt. Adding a dash of salt hit the mark. Our waitress was very attentive and the place was comfortable and was not crowded. I will continue to come back. It's nothing fancy but just good basic Italian food.

We were ordering a Large pizza, but it was so-o-o-o large that this last order was for a Medium which was like Goldilocks finally says "just right." This location is consistent on quality ingredients, getting the order right, and the pizza is ready for pickup (or if we call ahead for eat-in) at the time they quote. Every time for a year now it's been this way (no surprises). What do we order? Thin crust, Medium, 1/2 vegetarian and 1/2 meatlovers. The husband tried the other (similar) to meat lovers that had more meat and less veggies (olives, onions, something) but he found it too heavy. There's always plenty of parking in the clean (no litter) parking lot in front of the building. The bathrooms have repeatedly been clean as has the dining areas. They are cool with bring your own water bottle, but I think rather you buy sodas (bottled) from them rather than bring your own soda. Last visit (pickup/take-out): Friday evening, 12/27/2024.

With six of us together, we were excited for the boys to experience the unique MOD Pizza "build your own" style. They absolutely love pizza. As we moved through the line, Grandpa was at the back (parents at front) but was asked to step forward to start his order. When his pizza was finished, he politely asked for "a little more cheese on top." The pizza maker kindly added it without hesitation. Everything was perfectly normal until another employee--who appeared to be a shift manager--stepped in. She began by saying, "Unlimited toppings does not mean unlimited portions." Grandpa smiled and nodded, a bit surprised but still polite. She continued with several more comments: that too much cheese would slide off, that they were a new franchise and "aren't putting extra toppings on," and even that the health department could shut them down if the pizza didn't cook properly. At that point, Grandpa felt talked down to and embarrassed, especially being corrected repeatedly in front of his grandsons and a growing line of customers. He explained that he'd been coming to MOD for a long time and had never had an issue asking for a bit of extra cheese. She replied that "things have changed." What was supposed to be a fun, memorable night quickly shifted into an uncomfortable experience that left our family feeling unwelcome. To make matters worse, every pizza in our group was served lukewarm. Whether coincidence or not, it added to the disappointment. Grandpa has always loved MOD Pizza and wanted to share that with his family. Instead, he left feeling disrespected. We understand that everyone can have an off night, and we're willing to move forward--but customer service matters. A simple, kind explanation of any new rules would have been enough. We truly want to see MOD Pizza continue to thrive. Our suggestion is to ensure employees--especially those in leadership roles--receive customer service training. How customers are treated is unforgettable, for better or worse. Respect goes a long way, and we hope future visits reflect the welcoming experience MOD has always been known for.
