Yelp convinced me to drop by this place in Wichita and it did not disappoint. I didn't have much time to visit otherwise I would have loved to try more of their food. I did get the shrimp tempura kimbap and it was sooooo delicious! The grocery selection is packed full of asian staples imported from Korea and Japan. As someone moving to Kansas for school in the future I'm glad there is a market to get all my favorites and I won't have to worry about going without. I love Grace Market! My coworkers have brought me food from there many times, and I've always wanted to visit the store myself. In the past two weeks, I've been there about three times just for their cooked food, especially the japchae and kimchi BBQ--both of which I could easily eat every day. The store also offers a wide variety of Korean and Japanese items, including containers of homemade kimchi, instant ramen, and bakery treats. I'm so glad to have Grace Market here in Wichita! Fan-freaking-tastic!!! It's a small store with a kitchen in the back. No dining area. I got two dishes - rice cakes and stir fried squid. Took it to the hotel. Bought gas first. Just saying because it took me 20 minutes to get to the hotel and the food was still hot. The two items I got are the best I've had anywhere in the US. This woman knows how to serve up some hot, spicy, flavorful dishes. Seriously people, the food is not to be missed. As I travel the states, I try Korean restaurants. For those that haven't been here Grace Market carries groceries items from Korea and Japan. They also have grab and go lunch items next to the register and a full kitchen in the back that you can call in orders in advance. I've only had a few grab and go items but they were both great and the employees are extremely friendly and walked me around the store my first time to give me the lay of the land. 5 stars for the quick affordable grab and go lunches, uniqueness, and friendliness. read more

OH MY GOSH! We were in Korea for three years and the authenticity of the food here rocked my taste buds! I don't have pictures because the food was too good to stop and take some. I will say the photos on their page match the plating. The food was made fresh to order and came out in 10-15 minutes and the service was excellent. The location is a storefront with an extremely clean kitchen. 1000000/10. I would highly recommend trying this place for an authentic Korean food experience. The gimbap is exactly like a Korean mother would make and the rolls are huge and filling. I'm here at least a couple of times of month to stock up on kimchi. My favorites are the nappa cabbage kimchi, pony tail kimchi, and radish kimchi. If you're going to make me critique, I would say the radish kimchi tastes much better if you let it ferment for a week. When made fresh, the bitterness in the radish is quite strong. The thin sliced brisket is not as fatty as you might purchase elsewhere, and I think that has to do with the cut they receive from their supplier. 15/85 fat ratio if I had to guess. I prefer a slightly fattier cut closer to a 30/70 which you more commonly would find in a traditional Korean bbq restaurant or perhaps a larger market like H-Mart but we don't have one of those and I prefer to shop local anyway. Honestly, my gripes are just purely personal preferences-- other than that, the market is always stocked, and the owner and his staff are all quite friendly and hard working. I do think his staff should stay near the door a little more or perhaps obvious cameras installed. I'm certain on one of my recent trips I saw some girls pocket some items and leave in a hurry but no one was manning the front of the market at the time. Anyway, if you're looking for an authentic Korean mom and pop grocery store this is the ONLY place to shop. They do carry a small stock of some Japanese and Chinese items as well! read more

Super convenient location in the Parklane shopping center, so plenty of parking! It's inside the store straight in the back, but it's super easy to spot. There's a decent amount of seating along with some standing room at a counter on the wall. Super clean, bright, and inviting. With a easy to read menu on the wall along with some by the register. Super nice ladies who run it. I ordered the Pan Fried Squid and it was amazing. Nice and savory, cooked wonderfully, and a large portion. Came with all the traditional side fixings like white rice, kimchi (the BEST IN TOWN KIMCHI BTW!), other pickled veggies, etc. Everything was perfect. Definitely some food you don't want to miss out on. I highly recommend it if your looking for super delicious food, cooked to order, served by super nice ladies, and authentic. I've been coming here for years and it has changed since then. Right now there is only take-out and most people call in their orders ahead of time. They have a take-out menu you can grab alongside your groceries. My favorite things to order are not on this menu. If you look near the kitchen's front counter, there is a tacked on addition to the menu. These are jjajjangmyeong, tonkatsu, and yakisoba. Of course these are all Korean styled versions. The jjajjangmyeong is prepared with the sauce and pickled daikon separately, so nothing gets soggy on the way home. The sauce is rich with just the right amount of sesame oil. The tonkatsu comes in a huge portion, all cut to strips with a tonkatsu sauce for your dipping or drizzling pleasure. Accompany it with rice and the vegetables and you will be stuffed for the rest of the day. I have yet to order the yakisoba, since I make that all the time, of course, with ingredients bought here. If you ever need to find special ingredients for your dishes that you would normally expect to find in a Korean store that also has Japanese goods, just ask about it and the owner will try to get you what you need! read more

Ok that might have sounded nasty but trust me on this...no fishy taste. It's more hot and spicy than anything. There are so much more to choose from. Move over to their other aisle and you will find freeze dried shiratki mushrooms, an assortment of spices and condiments. And they also have a row of freezers and fridges. In them you can find seafood, Asian goodies and an assortment of things. Now here is the kicker... at the back of the store sits a casual restaurant like setting. Here you can find hot & spicy korean dishes prepared for you while you shop. How delicious! The owners are the sweetest people ever! I know the owner was wondering why I was taking so many pictures. Love this place! Ever since a friend of ours introduced us a few years ago we have always enjoyed stopping by for Korean food, snacks, drinks, ingredients and other things. The owners are very sweet and always ask about my family that I've brought to the restaurant prior to Pandemic. My go to is their beef-bulgogi! We also love their pancake, kimbap, bibimbap, spicy squid, and basically everything we've had on their menu is!!! It's hot and fresh all the time. I lived here for 10 years and never even noticed this little grocery store and restaurant combination. A Korean woman and her Japanese husband run the place. The wife runs the restaurant while he minds the grocery. They have always been very pleasant and helpful. I love their kimchi. They sell kimchi by the jar, even big jars to take home. I've tried a bunch of items on the menu, which are mostly korean items and they've always been delicious and obviously authentic! Often I am the only non-asian in the whole store. read more

As mentioned in other reviews, there's only 4 small tables at the back of an already small grocery store.
