This is my go-to place for pho lunch as it's near my doctor's office. The pho is tasty and abundant, with excellent broth. I haven't tried any other items on the menu yet. Good but not necessarily going back. Had the small P3, brisket and tendon. Tendon seemed to dominate the meat ratio. Wouldn't say there was a lack of meat but didn't think the broth had a ton of flavor. Also a pet peeve of mine to have pho without a sauce bowl to dip. read more

We love these guys. They have amazing authentic flavors and incredibly generous portions. We started coming her a few months ago and it has quickly become a weekly stop. They're a low key and quiet place, but the flavors speak volumes. Definitely recommend their Pho and other soups. I always go for a pork and dumpling soup. No one compares. I've come here about 5 times now (with my boyfriend, then with my family then with my coworker). I have been raving about this place to my friends/family because it's one of the best Vietnamese places I've gone to and I've been to many between Lancaster and Reading! As for the atmosphere, noise level can be a little loud at times but that's when it's super busy but overall good noise level. Food is 10/10 delicious. I always order the vermicelli with grilled pork or egg roll. Never disappointed with it. We ordered other dishes such as pho, silken tofu, crispy rice (I forget the name of the entree!) and they were all delicious. The service is like 2-3 men on the floor and even when it's mega busy they are so attentive and speedy. Always asking customers if they are ok and need anything and being friendly. Food came out quick! I also want to recognize how well the waiters know the menu because they literally never write down orders and get it correct every single time despite how long the order is. I also want to recognize how attentive and intelligent the staff were (and cooks) for my friend who has a peanut/tree nut allergy. They were able to tell us what has nuts and what doesn't they also went back to double check with the chef before having us order. Ginger Asian Kitchen has been established for quite some time and it wasn't until recently that I actually got to go there for the first time. Today marks the 4th time that I've actually been there and for no good reason have I not done a review previously. But I must say that each time I've gone there I've had pleasurable experiences. I was delighted to see that Bun Rieu is featured on their menu year round. I say this because there is only one other local establishment that serves this dish and it's only during winter time as a special. Flavors of everything that I've had have been very good and in true fashion serving size is very generous. Located along a busy stretch of road is where you will find this restaurant with its own parking lot. The owner is often on site and may even serve you. At times he may surprise you with an extra little treat to compliment your meal that you may not have otherwise known to ask for. The interior is nice and the place is clean. But I truly have to remark on the quality of the food that I have received every time I have gone here. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite Vietnamese establishments in this area. read more

This place serves great tasting and very healthy food! The service staff was very polite and speedy for a quick lunch. I read Lindsay's Yelp write-up and tried this for the first time. I think it's connected to PHO 3 over at the end of Good Rd. on Columbia. I had the spring roll and dipped it in their spicy peanut sauce, and also Siracha. I also has the vermicelli with pork. I had a passion fruit smoothie for my dessert. All in all, a great experience. The name in Vietnamese is sometimes hard to pronounce, so the letters and number method works too, (F5, etc,). I was there last month and here is my experience. I ordered rare beef pho and bun Bo hue. When you first take a sip of the pho broth, you should be able to taste a strong beef aroma. And after the beef aroma you should be able to taste the cinnamon and star anise. I didn't get the beef aroma. The broth had a hint of sweetness but was bland. It didn't have a certain depth. Almost seems like they didn't cook enough beef bones or they didn't cook the beef bones long enough. Beef bones are supposed to be cooked for 24 hours to get the richness out of it. I didn't get the richness flavor from it. I took home and had other tried and they agreed with me. Rare beef are supposed to be laid on top of the noodles and spread out. They literally took a stack of cut rare beef and just put it right in the bowl. On top of that the rare beef was PAPER thin!! I took the pho home to have others tried it and they agreed with me. Now the bun Bo hue. It only came with one size and that was the largest bowl they have. It came out with purple cabbage and a little side plate of sauce. This sauce is shrimp paste and lemongrass. So first off the broth, super bland. So I figured that's what the extra sauce is for. So I put all of it in, it taste better but still a little bland. Second the garnish you're supposed to use with this is not purple cabbage!! The proper garnish is diced lettuce, diced banana flower, cilantro and maybe mint and also beansprout . Some restaurant use purple cabbage solely because it's cheaper. Again you're supposed to use banana flower with it. I know everyone has their own opinion but take it from a person that's been eating Vietnamese food for 44 years. read more

Just tried take out from Ginger this week. We were glad to see something take over the old Metro Diner spot. We enjoyed the gyoza (A1), vermicelli noodles with egg roll (V1) and the panfried noodles with chicken (SP3). The eggrolls were especially good. Stopped for lunch today are first visit here. Very happy. Maggie had a vermicelli bowl with egg roll and she said it was as good as she'd had. I had the pho with brisket. The broth is lighter than some but not salty. The brisket was fresh and I was very impressed. I had the small and still brought some home. The service was prompt and friendly. Looks like they are attempting to have a liquor license transferred in but not yet. Good luck to them and we will certainly be back read more

Disclaimer: I'm actually asian and know what asian food should taste like. If you're looking for a good Asian Restaurant (Vietnamese/hibachi cuisine) I would highly recommend Ginger Asian Kitchen. This restaurant has become one of our family favorites. It's hard to find good Asian restaurants in Lancaster County, but I'm so glad my dad found this place. They have a good variety of food options to choose from which I really appreciate. The food is always delicious and the customer service is great! The food here is pretty awesome! I got spring rolls, crab Rangoon, and the Vietnamese hoagie sandwich. All were freshly prepared and wrapped perfectly for carry out. Where should I start? At the beginning, I suppose. We thought we'd try this place on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00. we walked in and there was 1 table with two customers. So, clearly they were not busy. I walked up to the host stand and we stood there for about 5 minutes and I then finally leaned my way in so the people, including our future server, would take notice of us. He saw us and leisurely walked over and sat us. We ordered the agadashi tofu FOR AN APPETIZER (pardon yelling), and my fiancée ordered the vegetable stirfry and asked that it would please come with vegetable fried rice instead of white rice. The server was a bit taken aback but said alright we'd just be charged more. I ordered the large chicken pho. 15 minutes later my fiancées "entree" comes out (where was our appetizer) which did not look very appealing. And it came with a huge plate of.. I'm not sure, white rice with some vegetables.. We immediately asked the server about the Agadashi tofu (OUR APPETIZER) and he said "oh yeah, I'm bringing stuff out as the kitchen makes it. So where was my Pho? Nobody knew. The tofu was so gross. Hunks of flavorless fried tofu with some soy sauce to dip it in. Gross. 15 minutes later my Pho is still not there... so my fiancée is like... please eat this... IF YOU DARE. Omg it was so bad. You know really bad moo goo gai pan and how it has that kind of mucusy (I had to say it) texture. Well if that was what they were going for, they nailed it. Where was my Pho? 20 minutes later it came out. It was ok. But nothing compared to Pho Pasteur 3 (see my review). Did I I mention the floors were sticky? They were. Also... another table came in after we finally got all of our food and our server spent the rest of our time they're chatting with them and they got their meals in 5 minutes. Together, no less. Last time I knew, people like to eat their meals at the same time particularly when dining out. Too add to this exceptionally horrible experience, our server was apparently not aware of any sort of looks that I've been known to not be able to hide and was giving us advance at how to pack up my Pho. Also looked at my fiancée and was like, "you look full, but it's so good you want to keep eating!" She was like I'm all good, thanks, with a this is not happening look on her face. We finally had to grab another server since ours was so preoccupied with the other table. This was the only reason that I left a tip and believe me, as someone who has worked in the food service industry for many years of her adult life, it takes a whole lot for me to consider leaving below 15 percent. Authentic asian cuisine in a "mom & pop" family owned business. At first we were a little intimidated by the primary language of the menu being Vietnamese, but English subtitles were included for all items. This place is legit. The food was fantastic! One of the co-owners, Jay, was energetic, fun, and very informative. He hooked us up with some "special sauce" for dipping, which was crazy good. Plenty of food for the money, too! By far the worst Vietnamese place I've gone to. I came here twice, once was for pho and the second time was for rice and pork chop. Took over a hour to get my food both times while the building was empty and the food was bland. The rice was yellow and sticky and the pho was just watered down. I got two small pork chops and both were dry, almost burnt on the outside but not cooked enough on the inside. This was also very bland. If you want Vietnamese food I'd go to pho pasture, their food is so much better, the same price, and they make their food fast. read more

Came here because all our normal places were out of power, tried to order hibachi, they told us no chef, we all ordered stir fry.... Not your normal stir fry, it was literally boiled chicken, on a pile of hard stuck together noodles, and vegetables, which chicken gravy drenched on it.
