Tasty and promising but super understaffed and overwhelmed. This would be my go-to for Pan Asian food in Lancaster, but after my experience dining in on a Sunday evening, especially with a kiddo, I honestly would pick up/dine elsewhere unless I was willing to wait a long time. I'm not sure if there were special circumstances that made the staff and kitchen so overwhelmed and understaffed, but it was more than a full hour from the time I sat down to the time the food came to my table, and dishes arrived at different times. It wasn't even fully packed - there were empty tables. There were, however, a ton of carry-out orders, and even those people waited for their food Our server (the only server, I believe) did warn us that they were very busy and that it would be a wait. I told him no problem, I would attempt to keep my son entertained and order an appetizer. My son was starving after about 30 minutes, and I let him eat our entire appetizer (5 pieces of pork gyoza) and the rice that came with my green curry (it came out before his food). He was a very good sport considering that kids are not known for being patient. My green chicken curry was tasty, even spicy, but on the watery side. And now I had no rice to eat with it. I asked for more, but it never arrived. My son's food arrived a good 25 minutes later, and it was not accurate - we had ordered sashimi and instead got sushi - but I was not about to correct them and wait another hour. (We would have gotten 2-3 pieces of fish/seafood had we gotten our sashimi instead of the 1 piece we got as sushi). No refills were offered. In fact, we only saw our server in brief spurts - he was running around like The Flash, poor thing. Since we were sitting by the door, I noticed several unhappy customers waiting for their take-out orders. Some of them graciously brought back food when they were given us he wrong order. A table next to us was polite but did let the staff know that they would have enjoyed the experience and even ordered more food if the wait hadn't been so long. I would really like to give this place another chance. They had quite a variety of dishes on their menu, and my son really enjoyed the sushi he got (squid, octopus, shrimp, and flying fish roe). I'll try take-out next time and not on a weekend. read more

They tried to charge me over $60 because they got the man who was behind me confused. And they didn't catch it I had to say why is it so expensive for 4 sushi rolls? And then they said sorry that's not yours.... Then when I ate the food it was all just fried bread for the shrimp tempura and the soft shell crab roll. So the food was fried dough, the staff was distracted and didn't know their job at all, and the place is tiny. Plus when I came in no one said hello they were actually talking to one another and then they came up to me and just looked at me I had to say, "I placed an order" and then they spoke. Mind you they spoke English and there was a white women with red hair working there who may have spoken many languages but I know they all spoke English because I heard them speaking to each other and customers. It was my first and last time ever going to this overpriced, gross food, rude staff "restaurant" in my life, don't waste your time, money, or gas! read more

Forgot my phone and so disappointed because everything was delicious and beautiful. We had some of the Yelp recommended dishes including the Angry Dragon roll and my husband had the Drunken Noodles. We also had the House Special rolls and I got the red curry with chicken. The flavors were delicious! Not too salty, which I feel is overdone sometimes. I can't say enough about the curry, so good!!, and the sliced chicken was so fresh and perfect! They make their own ginger salad dressing (and other sauces), and it's yummy. I normally hate the ginger served with sushi but their was really good. We will definitely be back. *Note - We loved that when our waiter ordered the meal, he marked the dinners as "hold" so they didn't come out at the same time as the sushi! That was awesome...and rare! read more

Back again Troy still meets us graciously and the owner Harry welcomes us. Did the did the chicken soup AGAIN...it is a winner and we hope that the folks at Meals on Wheels can get a donated sample for it October event...it is well worth the visit... YET today's special is MOM's roll (hope to see a DAD's one too soon): A treat of shrimp tamper, salmon, Alvarado, ginger, sushi rice wrapped in soybean nori topped with a spicy mayo with a spot of Karachi This has become our regular bi-weekly eating adventure, but always with the exquisite soup. We were visiting Eden Resorts and came here because we were craving sushi. This place is a GEM! We walked in with 3 young kids and we absolutely loved everything we ordered. The miso soup is so flavorful! We also got a variety of sushi and the pad thai that were delicious. The service is quick and friendly! Yuzu's is my favorite sushi restaurant in Lancaster! The seafood is always so fresh and chefs always prepare the rolls well! There is a great variety in special rolls that you definitely have to try. But, don't underestimate the nigiri either because the fish will taste fresh! The restaurant is nice and quiet with very friendly staff! It's a great environment for a sushi date! read more

Do not come here. They have the worst sushi chef. Barely had any salmon in my roll. It basically tasted like you were biting into a cucumber with rice. This is not a real Asian food place it is fake. You will be ripped off and skimped of the fish in the dish. Be mindful that you are paying $7 for 6 pieces of sushi to eat a cucumber with a slice of salmon. I honestly thought I was eating a cucumber. Have fun waiting 45 mins for a cucumber to be served. read more

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Yuzu. Fresh uni, delicious sushi and sashimi. Good quality sake. Plates were generous, and came beautifully and fastidiously decorated. Service was excellent! An ABSOLUTE MUST for Lancastrians and visitors. My husband and I enjoyed some of the most delicious sushi ever. Unbelievable that this place is nestled in Lancaster. Service is horrible... the waitress stares at you when she comes and talks to you every 5mins and then at the end when she hands you your check if you don't leave her a tip she will literally tell you that you didn't leave her a tip and will stand there til you do. As for the food everything was overcooked except for the rice and vegetables and the soup that came with the hibachi was amazing, other than the soup... I would not recommend this place. read more

Sushi looks beautiful. I didn't get any but the guys next to us did, and though it took a good 30 minutes for them to get their plates, wow!! I noticed because it took a while for our food to arrive. See, we read reviews that said how quickly items arrived after they were ordered, and maybe that was the issue; our expectations were set. Also, aside from three other tables finishing their meals, there was no one else in the restaurant. 1 teriyaki chicken for my daughter and a couple of hibachi plates for my son and wife came about 40 minutes after we arrived. I watched them eat their meals while I waited for my entree. They were finishing up as my Pad Thai arrived. It was hot and it was a lot, but it was one note at best. The hostess, who I suspect was the manager, maybe owner, and part of the reason my food ever arrived at all, asked if I'd like some spicy chili sauce. Uh, yes!! I didn't know it was an option! This was my first Pad Thai and the sauce was all the difference. I don't know why our server never asked about sauce, but he also was never around other than to take our order and to bring the food once it was ready. It's funny how quickly they bring the check and run your card though. I don't live in Lancaster, so I probably won't return. When I'm in the area, it won't be on the top of my list of places to visit either. read more

Yuzu is one of our favorite local sushi spots! Their sushi is always fresh and full of flavor. The rolls are always tight, and never fall apart. They have special signature rolls that are large in size and to die for. While I always get the same thing, my husband ventured out and got the eel avocado roll, and he loved it! The only thing I have to say is that the crab Rangoon's don't come with very much filling. The taste is incredible, but I think they are a little empty. It's not something that I would dock them a star for. They are an incredible restaurant, and we go back every time! Also, the prices are pretty comparable to other local sushi spots. They are a crowd favorite! Their online ordering system is also user friendly. It tells you right at the end how long it will be until your order is ready. You can also schedule a specific pick up time. They are open much later than other sushi places in Lancaster, PA. If you pay with a card when you order online, your pick up is seamless. read more

This place is a top, top favorite after our first visit! Service was great, owners came and spoke with us and the food was amazing! The dining area and sushi bar are super clean and the decor/music are modern and comfortable. We got Pad Thai with chicken, sweet potato sushi roll (first we've ever seen that and it was terrific!), Crazy Friday roll (presentation and taste were excellent) and Harry's Special roll (Harry is one of the owners) and it was indeed special! This local business is definitely worth a visit! We will be back next time we are in town!! read more

First time visiting Yuzu. Their online order system is easy to use. We were surprised the pick up time was 35 after ordering, but it does take time to make sushi. It was a freezing cold, windy Friday night and the restaurant isn't open for dine-in, only take out as of February 2021. If you're from out of town, finding the entrance to the plaza can be tricky because it's surrounded by one way streets. The restaurant is in a plaza across from the train station & there is plenty of parking. They were slammed with orders & I had to wait outside 15 min freezing, after arriving at the 30 min pick up time. But they were working as fast as they could & were friendly and apologetic. I had the sashimi entree and my husband had Panang curry, plus miso soup and salad. Everything was packaged well and the flavors were quite good and the sashimi was tasty. Portions were large. The food is good, especially the sushi. I have ordered the chicken hibachi a few times also and it was good but I would have liked a little more than a cup of fried rice to go with my hibachi chicken. I'm the drunken noodles were good as well. I wasn't as crazy about the red curry chicken, the curry had good flavor I just don't know why there was potato and tofu in red curry chicken? One thing to note is that many of the food vendors close around 9:00 PM. By the time we arrived, most stalls were either already closed or in the process of cleaning up. We were still able to grab empanadas and non-alcoholic drinks from Mekatos Eatery and bring them over to enjoy at 1888 Bar, the central bar area within the market. We sat at the bar and watched a game, and the bar stayed open until after 11:00 PM when it ended. Southern Market is a great space, it's very large, clean, open, and modern, with what appears to be a beautifully renovated warehouse-style design. The black-and-white color scheme, exposed metal elements, and high ceilings give it a contemporary industrial feel. Southern Market seems like a great spot with a wide variety of food and drink options when all the vendors are open. Based on our experience, I would recommend visiting for lunch or an early dinner to take full advantage of everything the market has to offer.

I did enjoy the chocolate fountain, dessert bar, cake fridge, and soft-serve ice cream--they brought back nostalgic buffet memories. The restaurant was also very clean, which I always appreciate.

That being said the service was great, water was refilled on a timely manner, and even my company had a better selection of sushi and rolls from their standard menu rather than their platter menu. And then finished off with some fried ice cream. The fried ice cream was OK. I'll probably just order the ice cream next time! The green tee ice cream was delicious! A great place to eat with a wonderful family serving up very yummy dishes. My wife and I always love seeing the very warm and friendly Jessica, Harry and Felix. Yuzu has a wide range of Asian food (sushi, udon, tempura, thai curries, etc.) in a nice setting: small-ish, nicely lit, plenty of parking outside. Bonus: it's a great place to eat before and after your train ride. It's right across the street from the historic Lancaster Station. read more

Had a great experience here. The food was wonderful, especially the drunken noodles. The ownership was amazing. After ordering our meals, the owner unexpectantly brought out the "Harry Special" roll, which was fantastic. Yuzu is BYOB, and the server was very helpful by opening our bottle of wine, and stopping by to top off our glasses. Overall we had a great experience, and will be back soon! read more

I recently visited Yuzu with my friends after heavy recommendations and I'm very satisfied with my visit. The sushi was fresh and well done. I ordered the coconut fried rice and the beef inside was very flavorful. Sushi in my family is a thing. We all love to go out to eat sushi here and there. We have tried almost all the places to eat sushi in Lancaster, PA and Yuzu is by far OUR FAVORITE. I went here for lunch with me friends it was amazing! The food arrived promptly and out server was very nice. The sushi was spectacular so I recommend eating the fried rolls but also the spring breeze and oba roll if you like raw.
