Ginger Thai is easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Nashville. I have been so many times over the years and it has immediately become of my go to places for lunch or dinner especially when I'm meeting up with friends. I pretty much always order the Chicken Pad See Ew which I absolutely love. I also some Shrimp Spring Rolls which were so fresh and wonderful. I also very often get milk teas here. While they are not my favorite in Nashville, they are really good and a great addition to a spicy meal when you're also wanting a sweet treat. Obviously since this restaurant is already one of my favorites in Nashville, it won't be too much time until I go back. Ok so it's been a while since I've been here but today was the day and it didn't disappoint. The place has not changed much on decor but the ambiance was very welcoming and friendly as always. I ordered through Uber Eats and they gave me a buy one get one free for the Pad Prik Tofu. The tofu and bell peppers were cooked well. Very yummy, flavorful without being too spicy. The tofu red curry was also great, and large portions. The dishes all came with white rice. read more

Hidden restaurant not too far from downtown--overall I would rate it a 4.5 but rounded up. Service is friendly, servers are polite and informative and check up on you regularly which I appreciate it. Food was prepared fresh and quick to come out. The place is clean and we had no problem walking in to get a table on a Monday night plus there's plenty of parking. We shared the steak salad, coconut curry and pad thai. The steak salad was amazing, we loved it the most. Plenty of protein and the dressing was delicious plus it was a generous portion. I had a girls night at Ginger Thai and loved my experience here. This restaurant is located in a strip mall in South Nashville. There is plenty of parking in the area. They also serve bubble teas and gelato, which was a welcomed surprise. The place was casual and very family friendly. Overall, nice relaxed vibes! To start, I got a Thai tea. I was very happy that they let me sub the cream with almond milk! The boba was perfectly chewy and the tea was delicious. As my entree, I got the Pad Himapane. Thankful to have found this tasty food on our vacation. The portions were great, the staff were wonderful and very friendly. We went at 3:30pm and it was not busy at all, which we loved because the food came out super quick. All in all, we really enjoyed and would definitely come back if in town again. Among all the American foods spots around Nashville, my friends and I started to crave Asian food. We came upon Ginger Thai. As soon as we saw the menu, my friend and I opted to share a summer roll appetizer, get pad thai as our main entree and get thai iced tea as our drink. Two things that makes this Thai restaurant different from most I've been to: 1) They offer levels of spicy-ness to their otherwise non-traditional spicy dishes. - Of course, some Thai dishes are known to be traditionally spicy due to the fact that they traditionally add a chili sauce/peppers to their dishes. But for example, pad thai is normally never known to be spicy. But here, they have an option to do add spice, which I appreciate. When asked about it, they said that they just add the peppers to increase the spice. Since given an option to increase the spice, of course I had to! I opted for "hot" (3 asterisk). In my opinion as someone who loves spice, "hot" is more than hot enough. It was definitely spicy and brings the heat. Even for me, my sinuses were running a bit and make you grab for that extra cup of water, but it was tolerable. For anyone non-thai and don't know how hot a thai dish can get, I would not suggest "native thai" spice level at all. 2) I love that they offer not only the traditional chicken, beef, shrimp options for protein, but they also have a meat combo, a seafood combo or even a meat/seafood combo! If I knew beforehand and not after my friend ordered it, I might have opted for one of the three options instead of my standard one protein: chicken. But it's good to know it's an option for slightly a bit more money. Overall, everything was very authentic. As someone who's eaten at multiple Thai restaurants before, I wasn't disappointed. Tucked way back in a hidden strip mall on the South Side, Ginger Thai serves up spectacular Asian delights every day! They easily accommodated our party of 11 without us even calling ahead, and the kitchen got the food out astonishingly quickly as the restaurant filled up! The shrimp blanket appetizer is excellent, with plump shrimp cooked in extra crispy egg roll wrappers! The panang curry might just be the most complex flavor of any panang in the Nashville area. The bowl that I placed it in is the same circumference of the dish it was delivered in, just higher depth. Either way. The amount of Curry that was received didn't even cover the extra side of noodles I ordered. Will not order or dine in here b/c the consistency of the Curry was literally water with no flavor. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of this restaurant but we had way too much hot chicken and bbq in Nashville so we decided to get Thai food. Checked on yelp and this place had 4 stars so we went for it and ordered on ubereats. I got the Chinese broccoli stir fry with crispy pork belly (it was called kana moo krob or something like that). I've had my fair share of Thai food and I can say that the dish I ordered was not great. It didn't taste bad but it was definitely a let down for 4 stars on yelp review - idk... I'm expecting small slices of pork belly deep fried to crisp but what I got was just a slightly thicker slice of bacon cut into strips...even the thick sliced Costco bacon was thicker than this "moo krob" they call. It was stir fried with Chinese broccoli and basil which was really bitter and bland and the sauce was so runny. It was basically like soup stir fry with the amount of runny sauce on it. It's a little ridiculous but I don't expect much of better Thai food in Nashville because obviously they are known for southern food. Order at your own risk. We ordered the pho as well, it was ok. The broth is not as rich and it's very sweet which is a sign that the broth was not authentic. I wouldn't order here again when I crave for Thai food when I'm in Nashville. I ordered food for delivery by Door Dash. Food was good, though they ignored the request for MILD on both the Pad Pak and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. They forgot to check and left out our egg rolls from the order. When I called about this, they blamed the Door Dasher and said all they could offer was an IOU for the next order. We would have to call them when placing the next order -- which does not work when you have food delivered. We have been customers since their opening week. 4.5 stars the food I've gotten here has always been good and flavorful, more than some other places in town for sure. I love that's it's kind of tucked away and kind of a hole in the wall. The place is still very clean though! I always order to go so I can't speak to the serving experience, but I will say every time I come to pick up they've always been friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. I love their noodle soups, especially the Guey Tom Yum. It has a great blend of a flavorful but citrusy broth with a mixture of pork belly and bbq pork with bean sprouts and herbs. This is really great when it's cold, and if you get it spicy it's really good for colds. I also often get the 3 flavor wings. They are crispy, but also saucy which is the perfect combo for me. I usually get them medium spicy and thats good for me. We got hot once and it was a little too much for us. Tonight I got the Pad Kee Mao for the first time and it's really good! I will say it's not as saucy or the same type of sauce as other places make it. It's more of a chili paste which I think is still good. I got this medium spicy as well, but I think I could've gone with a little spicier. Still plenty of flavor and a nice kick to it. All in all one of my go to Thai places in town. The prices are reasonable as well as the portions. You can't go wrong with this place in my opinion. Parking can be tricky as the lot is small, but I always try to go before or after the dinner rush and there's always a spot. read more
