A friend recommended my girlfriend and I to try Thai Ni Yom after visiting herself. We tried a few things as shown in the photos (Kao Soi Beef, Basil Fried Rice, and their Thai Ice Tea). The flavors in both of the dishes were great! Both having the options of spice levels from 1-5. We had dinner around 6pm and didn't have to wait too long on a Saturday evening. The Thai Ice Tea was on the sweeter side, but still held the "thai ice tea flavoring" we were hoping for. (I'd say if it was a little less sweet, the flavor would stand out more.) We had no reservations but note that the seating is very limited. Additionally, you'd have to validate your parking by scanning a QR code they have (first 3 hours free). Our server was also very friendly! She made sure to check in on us on top of handling the rest of the tables herself as we dined. For the price it was worth it. I have heard so many good things about this spot and the food was fabulous however it took a while to get it. I think the best move is to order to go and dine at one of the many tables in L&L market. I dined "in" and while the portion was slightly larger than to go, the wait did dim the experience a bit. The restaurant itself is soooo cute, tucked away in a lil corner. Every time I visit L&L, I say something like "Oh, I need to try that Thai place!" I'm happy to say that I finally had a chance to dine at Thai Ni Yom, and I can confirm that it's a tasty spot for a quick lunch in West Nashville. Double check their hours before heading to the market just for this spot ... one of the reasons it took me a while to try them is because they're not open on Mondays or Tuesdays! Everything on their menu sounded amazing, but I ended up ordering the Famous Basil and a Thai iced tea. My food was ready in less than 20 minutes, and there's plenty of seating available to wait. I ordered my meal to-go, but ended up eating right outside the stall. Let me just say that the basil is famous for a reason! My meal was bright and saucy - with a nice mix of meat and veggies like green peppers and baby corn. It's served with rice, which was perfectly cooked. I also added on a fried egg, which was another tasty textural component. My only critique is that the portion size is pretty small for the price ... but that wouldn't stop me from dining here again! Went to L&L Market tonight for the first time despite living nearby for some time. This restaurant is beyond what other Thai restaurants in town are offering. Instead of tasting as expected this is a family owned establishment and you can taste the love in the food. Nicky was our server and she was very attentive while running the FOH of all the tables and togo orders. We had the fried wontons, tom kha soup, chicken wings, duck green curry and beef kao soi. Not listed on their online profile they do offer wine, beer and plum wine. We were taken aback by the whole dinner with both the friendly service and how amazing the food was. Soup is a little pricey at $7 for a small container but to have two excellent dishes for under $20 for lunch is great! Really nice people as I came on the late side for lunch around 245 as they shut down at 3. Dinner resumes later at some point. They shut down their seating at 230 but I took my order to some main seating area inside the market. Took about 10 minutes to prepare. The food here was really tasty, and the service was friendly and helpful. Thai Ni Yom is inside the L&L Market, which is a small shopping mall with a variety of shops and restaurants. We arrived just as they were opening, and the woman was very helpful in letting us know which items were gluten-free. The Pad Thai was really overflowing with flavor. The chicken was moist and tender, which I have to say I found to be a rare treat. So often when I get Pad Thai or similar dishes the chicken is really dry and a bit tough. My wife and I were both super happy with our Pad Thai at Thai Ni Yom. I had the Fried Spring Rolls, which were good and surprisingly flavorful. My wife had the Fresh Rolls, which lived up to their name being really fresh and of great quality. My only minor complaint was that it took about 30 minutes for us to get our food. If I had been trying to squeeze my meal into a lunch hour, I would have been pressed for time. They weren't busy at the time, and they do make everything to order, but it seemed like a long wait. But they may have also not quite gotten up to speed yet since we arrived just as they were opening. I'm always excited for new Thai food and couldn't wait to try this place. It's a little stand in L&L market and it's worth hitting up. I have been twice now and had the pad Thai both times. I love that they use the thin rice noodles and that you can add veggies to it (can even specify if you just want broccoli, etc.). The flavor was good and the medium spice was actually medium, although I ended up adding more anyway with the chili flakes and sriracha-like sauce they give you on the side. The first time I had it it was cooked perfectly. The second time it was very watery and I was a little disappointed but it may be been because it was fresh off the stove and hadn't had a chance to sit yet. Word to the wise: better for takeout. Both times I ordered while I was there and it took 45min to an hour to get. I couldn't believe the second time was so long (50min) because we got there at 12:10 and they opened at 12. I randomly stopped by L&L marketplace to see what all it had to offer. The parking was decent when I went which was slightly after the peek lunch period on a Saturday. The Thai restaurant seemed appealing to me mainly because of the great smells from the kitchen. I ordered the fried crab wontons with cream cheese and the pad see ew with beef. The crab wontons was one of the best versions I have ever had! The wonton was light and delicate packed full of flavorful filling. The pad see ew was definitely solid. The noodles were light with just the right amount of soy sauce and the beef was well cooked with a solid flavor. From a service perspective the food came about with 15 minutes... all of it very fresh and the lady behind the counter was more then polite. What a great find! The food is all made fresh and is delicious. You can choose your level of spice and they actually listen to diners who ask for no spice or mild. First some tips: this is not a traditional restaurant space but rather an enclosed booth in a sort-of-office/eatery/retail-mall-like-space called "L&L." You enter the main entrance to this space and walk up to order and pick up.
