Whenever my friends and I are looking for takeout, we always end up deciding on Ginger House. Impeccable dishes that adhere to our vegan preferences, and it is consistently delicious! My favorites so far are the lemongrass soy protein, general tsao's soy protein, and vegan thai ice tea. food was amazing. however, the inside of the place leaves much to be desired. i live in the area and walk GH every night and no one is ever inside eating. it would be so nice if they made it more inviting but I get it though. the neighborhood is not hipster. it is so not mixed enough over here (culturally). so what you see on the Cortelyou strip on the other side of Coney Island, you will not see here. or at least not yet. this is the reason why i think they do not care about presentation. i didn't find anything in my food (hair, roach) thank God. but after reading these reviews, I will not chance going back. there's other vegan spots that i am sure put in the effort for their customers. read more

We have never had a bad experience with Ginger House. I recommend the Green Curry and the spring rolls. We also had the pineapple/orange/ginger juice and it was AMAZING. Had lunch here on a weekday. Not crowded just one other person. They seem to do a lot of deliveries while I was there. It took a minute to be acknowledged. The young lady behind the counter was pleasant. I had mango salad which was great. I like that they add asparagus. The salad dressing was horrible. Glad is was on the side. Overall they have a nice variety of vegan dishes. I've tried the thai basil fried rice, the curry malasian stew and the kale noodles, and all were to my liking. Nice flavor and reasonable portions. My one complaint is the pricing. Some items are reasonably priced while others, like the dessert cakes, are unrealistic. read more

First of all the food is sometimes okey, sometimes terrible. I decided to leave a comment cause every time I call for pickup, the voluptuous woman says over the phone it'll be ready in 10 mins. When I get there in 10 she makes me wait another 10, I get there let in 20 she also made me wait another 10 mins. Then from time to time she pretends to be deaf, I call her she just stands there like a statue. This happened again today, and it was my last straw. I order delivery from here and I am always so amazed by how tasty it is. I have tried their pad se ew, drunken noodles, and asic Thai fried rice. Also tried their stir fried wheat ramen noodles, Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee. Everything tasted so good - whether it's vegan or not. I typically prefer having meat in my meals but this vegan option makes me forget all about that. Delivery usually takes no longer than 40 minutes. Absolutely love this place!! If you're expecting napkins, silverware, or water... not so much! We shared one napkin. And I had to go to the kitchen to get water. (Which of course was warm with no ice). Ordered takeout via Grubhub on a Sunday night when heading back home from Windsor Terrace--walking to the train, starved and half ass paying attention. I didn't realize it was vegetarian, I thought there was chicken in my pad thai. Turns out there wasn't, it was delicious brown tofu. I'm a carnivore and you could've had me fooled. I order from here all the time using seamless. They are accommodating when I need some dishes made gluten free and will always call if they can't or if something is missing. No picture, person, or explanation can do Ginger House justice. There are so many positive things to say about this place that I find it difficult to narrow it down into a short explanation. Ginger house is a winter STAPLE for my boyfriend and I. Also, when you really need your fix, they arrive at your door at what seems to be the moment you hang up the phone after placing your order. We always start w the crispy soy protein which comes crisped to perfection and with a delicious plum sauce. Yes, so good. Then, we usually try to pick at random (even though we are bias toward the general tso's soy protein) what we will order every time. That is how confident we are in everything being delicious. And literally everything we have ever ordered has been a hit. Along with that, every main course averages between $9-12. This place is completely vegan and that is a GOOD THING.
